6.8mm kidney stone… Here is what I learned.
1. When Dr. Reddy says that one needs surgery, he means it.
2. The nurses and staff are wonderful.
3. There is something more powerful than morphine, di-​lo-​something
4. Dr. Reddy knows best.
5. When you call, the lady doing the voice mail sounds like she is screaming
6. Just press 101. Because 102 and 103 will take you to the same place
7. It’s hard, but possible to make Dr. Reddy laugh.
8. Listen to Dr. Reddy
9. Anesthesia isn’t so bad
10. The toilet will suck your butt in if you courtesy flush.
I thought I was going to be tough and pee the stone out, but Dr. Reddy said I wouldn’t and he was right. He gave me all the options and his recommendation… Why didn’t I get it over with sooner? He did the surgery next door and they are all really nice there too. Well, except for the recovery lady. She’s mean. I hope never to have kidney issues again. But if I do, I know where I’m going! Wait… I rather not have kidney issues…
11. Drink a lot of water.
