Took my girlfriend here for the first time all the way from Pasadena because the sandwiches are that good. Being that I grew up in simi I’ve been to Simi Sams a few times. I strictly come for the TBA(Turkey, Bacon, Avocado) The guys there are super generous and very friendly. Best sandwiches in Ventura County for sure!!!

Delicious sandwiches. Good service and never too crowded. Love their finely shredded lettuce, soft breads and cozy atmosphere.

This place is a whole in the wall sandwich eatery and I am so glad I found this place. The sandwich I had was the super sam and it came with 4 kinds of meat that I got to choose from, so I picked turkey, ham, pastrami and capicola. The sandwich also came with lettuce and tomato. The prices are very reasonable and the sandwiches are delicious. I highly recommend checking this sandwich spot out and you will not be disappointed.

The sandwich options at this location are good, and will satisfy your lunch needs. The Italian large sub will satisfy your hunger needs along with their large chips and drinks. The quality of the sandwich is good as well as the service. The service is professional and satisfying. Parking is in their lot and is a non issue.

A hidden sandwich shop in Simi Valley. They have some really good sandwiches, my personal favorite being the turkey bacon avacado. They have fresh ingredients and when it all fits together its quite magical. On most days the service is average-good and the servers are usually nice and friendly.

Very underrated sandwich shop. As a former restaurant owner I know the vast amount of stress placed on these guys specially during rush hour. I always get a large xtra chipotle Turkey bacon guacamole on white with pepper jack cheese extra chipotle no onions or mustard for around $ 10 Once you pay they give you a returning customer loyalty card which once filled gets you a free sandwich (Currently used 4 of them)

Have been looking for a good sub spot in Simi Valley and decided to give Simi Sam’s Sandwich a spin. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how run down the interior of this establishment kept itself. Either way I forged ahead and proceeded to order a large cheese-wich. A younger gentleman took my order, proceeded to start sandwich, then enter stage left… what seemed to be the owner carrying a box, sets said box down, takes over construction of my sandwich, no hand wash and no gloves(this didn’t phase in that moment, hit me after the fact). Sandwich was paid for and I sat myself at one of the rickety table’s. Now for the sandwich itself. The description for«Cheese» sandwich is «Layers and layers of provolone cheese with works…» and that was definitely not the case in this assembly. I did receive a few slivers of cheese and mound of lettuce. Very light on the condiments, but the bread was the only redeeming factor. Turned out to be a very bland sandwich and would’ve preferred a Subway sandwich(cringe). Very surprised at some of the previous 5-star reviews, because this is definitely no Ike’s or Bay Cities. Either way this was a onetime deal, would not do again.

One of the two best sandwich spots in Simi Valley. I guess it depends on what side of Simi I’m on as to which one I go to… I went here when it was owned by the original owners, Rip, and I have to say the new owners are just as cool. Oh and they own Palermos, win win…

SIMISAM’S STOLEMYMONEY. Yes, you read that right. I went in pretty early for lunch last Thursday; around 11am. I got a tuna sandwich, which was $ 9.99. There was nothing special about it and there was nobody there other than myself and the guy who was making my sandwich. I didn’t leave a tip because I didn’t feel it was necessary. The guy wasn’t even pleasant, barely made eye contact and basically was as impersonal as he could be while still managing to make a sandwich. I would like to point out my husband has worked in the food industry for 20 years and I am always very conscientious about tipping, but this dude did not deserve a dime. I paid with my debit card and put a line through the section for a tip and wrote in my total. I checked my bank account today and he tipped himself $ 3! Now, I realize $ 3 is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but it’s the principal of the matter. You do NOT write in your own tips. That is straight up THIEVERY. If he had done the greatest job in the history of the world MAKINGME A FRIGGENSANDWICH, I still wouldn’t have given him a $ 3 tip. That’s over 30%. The sandwich itself wasn’t anything to run home and slap your mom about. The tuna was kinda yucky(literally out of a can, with no mayo or chopped up celery or ANYTHING in it), the sandwich was SUPER soggy and while there was bacon in it, i couldn’t taste it at all. This was only the second time I have been to Simi Sam’s; the first time I got the turkey sandwich and was equally unimpressed. I figured I would give it another try with the tuna and was even more disappointed with the product. So, in short, if you would like to pay $ 14 for a mediocre $ 10 sandwich, this is the place. If you are not a fan of crappy food and deceitful people, then avoid at all costs.

Saw this sandwich place while out for a bike ride. I love supporting local owned small business. I had the Italian sub with the works. It was fresh and tasty. They do take credit cards but ask that you spend more then $ 5 when using one. The interior was clean and the employee was very polite and efficient. I will be back next time im ridding on this side of Simi

Sad what can happen to a great place over time, this one is no exception. The subs are not as good as when I first started eating here. The ingredients don’t taste the same and are just not as plentiful. This was my favorite sub shop, I’m sorry to have to write this.

I’m a fan of the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich with the skinny lettuce. Who would think that lettuce would be a great selling point-well at Simi Sam’s it is. I love the atmosphere and the TV is always on low unless you sit at the«reserved» table. They have a remote for you to turn the TV up. Big or small bags of chips and a refill on your soft drinks for 25 cents. We usually go after soccer or shopping– great friendly place. *why only four stars– well I’ve had some dry bread and I like my wheat bread fresh, nutty, and big.

Pretty good sandwiches. I love the super thin lettuce. I could just eat a whole bucket of that and their italian dressing! So good! My only complaint is I wish the pepperoncinis were cut up instead of whole on the sandwich. And that onions were thinly sliced. But that’s on me — it’s personal preference. Definitely have no need to drive all the way across town for a sandwich with this place right here!

Timing is everything, and I’m always reminded of the veracity of that statement when something happens in life to prove it once again(no matter how unimportant). We went to this sub shop last weekend because we happened to be on the particular street where it’s located and heard from somebody else it was decent enough… so we tried it. When WE walked in, there wasn’t a soul in sight. However, just as we sat down to eat, we began to notice a line forming… a line that, for the remainder of our time there, never disappeared… thus, proving the point that our timing was great for when we arrived. Otherwise, we’d STILL be stuck in that line. There were 2 – 3 people working behind the counter, but for some reason, it was a slow-moving process. The owner began the sandwich-making process, handing off to hired help for completion, who then handed off to a 3rd person for ringing up. I don’t know why it took so long, but as the line increased, I knew it was going to remain that way. The other problem for me was that the drinks were located behind the counter, and the only way to get a refill was to ask. However, watching them try to get a handle on this long line(and not really succeeding), I didn’t want to interrupt by asking for more iced tea. The sandwich itself was good. Fresh ingredients, flavorful… but then, it’s kind of difficult to ruin a turkey sandwich. Well, it could be done, though. This bread was super soft, almost to the point of being too soft. I’m not really sure how I feel about it, to be honest. Bread should always have substance and flavor to it, and while this bread tasted great, it was almost lost in how quickly it broke down in my mouth. Here it is almost a week later after eating here, and I STILL don’t know how I feel about that bread. This place gets a solid«good» from me, but did I love it? No, not really. If I’m down that street again, I’ll go back. Same street as Campos Tacos for those who live in the area.
