First time. Delicious. Will be coming back. We had the prime rib and special cold lobster tails!

My husband and I love to go up for a date night escape. We grab a booth in the bar area. Great, prompt service. Food is always wonderful and we enjoy the bartender too!

I made a reservation for this Larsen’s location for Valentine’s Day this year! I must say, they did not disappoint. We walked in 10 minutes prior to our reservation and we were seated on time to a beautiful table with a white table cloth, and red rose pedals! My wife and I received impeccable service and had a really great time! I had a glass of Merlot with the Filet and carrots! My wife enjoyed the chicken with potatoes and carrots! She was very impressed with the food and service we received! We usually go to the Oxnard location at the Collection, but thought we would give Simi Valley a shot. Overall this was an amazing experience for the both of us, and to finish up the meal we had the best dessert ever, the Chocolate Lava Cake was incredible! I highly recommend this location for a nice night out! Pricing was fair, considering I know what I would have spent at Mastros for the same portions. 2 people, 2 drinks, 2 entrees and dessert approx $ 120, worth every penny!

Nice waitress and decent service but then it was very early and not many customers in the place. Without question the worst prime rib I’ve ever had. Cool when it came out and even the Ai jus was cold. My wife ordered the pork chop and enjoyed it so all was not lost. No alcohol, no appetizers, no dessert, total with tip was $ 120.

We greatly enjoyed the best Valentine’s Dinner we’ve had in a while. Krista was amazing! She was so on it and very accommodating. She made an awesome recommendation to add the blackened seasoning to our steak… sold!!! Thank you guys so much for a beautiful evening. The Vday décor was such a plus to creating a romantic experience. After temporarily relocating from Porter Ranch during the gas leak we have now found a new fav place! Thanks Larsens Grill Simi Valley! We’ll be back for sure. Corey & Charlie Stevenson

We went to Larson’s on Saturday 2⁄13 for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. We got there at 3 right when they opened because we knew every place would be packed if we didn’t go early. We didn’t need a reservation which was nice. The place was decorated with red table clothes, rose petals, and candles everywhere. It was beautiful. I opened the menu and it was really pricey. We have been to several steak houses and nothing has ever been this expensive. But let me tell you, the porterhouse steak was hands down the most delicious slab of meat I’ve ever had. The Mac n cheese was the side I chose and it was pretty good as well. I had a bite of my boyfriends lobster and it was incredible. Melted in my mouth. The service was excellent. We had different waiters not even serving us, stopping by to check on us, help us take a picture together, etc. Our server was perfect. His name was Alan. Very soft spoken, knowledgeable, sincere and all around service oriented. We may not be back for until another special occasion but we will definitely be back!

It’s in Simi and it’s good! Drinks are stiff and food is good, that’s all I care about. If price is what you worry about there’s other options in town that don’t have the same dining experience.

There are not many good restaurants in Simi, so Larsen’s, food-wise, is pretty good. I think they charge too much for what it is, but it does taste good most of the time. My wife and I frequent Larsen’s quite often, usually in the bar-area for after work Happy Hour. The sliders are the best, can never get enough of them. The salads are also very good. Wine list is very good. Their dirty vodka martini(three blue cheese olives please :), is the best in town. The problem is with other mixed drinks since they tend to be light on the liquor. That loses one star. Please don’t be light on the liquor. I used to be a bartender, so I understand keeping your profits up, but adding a quarter ounce more to the drink won’t hurt. The second star lose is due to the bar service. If you are in the dining area, the service is great. They are always very attentive to your table. If you are in the bar-area, different story. They seem to always be short-staffed in the bar, having the bartenders taking orders and making the drinks. Have more wait staff please. We want to order more and spend more money at your restaurant! We shouldn’t get less attention just because we are in the bar. Most of us are spending just as much money, if not more, in the bar. This is not a one-time experience. It is the same every time. The missing third star is due to the quality of the food. We have had several large dinner parties at Larsen’s(spent lots of money, hint) and have had a few bad experiences. For example, on one visit, my sister and niece both ordered fish, salmon and halibut. Both got food poisoning later that evening. The last time my wife ordered fish, fortunately she did not get sick, but it had that fishy smell which generally means it is not fresh. On our last dinner visit, our salad had a large piece of plastic from the bagged lettuce. Management at Larsen’s, please take these bad reviews seriously. I want to keep coming back because you have a great location and ambiance, but these problems cannot be ignored. You have a good thing going, please make it better.

It has been three years since we’ve visited this restaurant. We received a gift card for a friend about a year ago but never bothered to go until last Friday(1÷15÷2016) because we had no interest in reliving that poor experience. Now I wish we had thrown that gift card away. The service was good. The food was awful. We started with the Albacore roll appetizer. The albacore was not fresh and whatever they used to wrap the roll was chewy. I know this isn’t a sushi place but come on, this was pretty poor quality. For dinner my wife ordered the 8oz filet(medium rare) with garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered the New York Strip(medium rare) with sweet potato waffle fries. The wife’s steak was average at best. The garlic mashed potatoes were just OK, they were lacking in flavor. The New York Strip was disgusting. It was rubbery, like REALLYRUBBERY. And there was gristle or something running through the entire cut of meat. It was very difficult to cut with a knife and even harder to eat. I had to stop eating it half way because it was inedible. The sweet potato waffle fries were good, but they were clumped together. Larson’s tries to price themselves like an upscale steak house but they serve you poor quality meat. We regularly cook Costco steaks(Filet and NY Strip) at home that are much cheaper and are of a much higher quality of meat. I’ve never had a NY Strip that was as impossible to eat as what I experienced Friday night. For our appetizer and 2 meals it was $ 116. I should have called the cops because that is highway robbery given the lousy quality of the food. Their executive chef should be embarrassed to have his name on the menu. I was hoping that after 3 years the place would have improved. We will never go back now. If you want to experience a decent meal for this price point go to Mastros in Thousand Oaks. You’ll pay $ 30 or so more, but the quality is light years ahead. Or save some money and go to The Outback.

Jeff was our waiter and he was wonderful! Very knowledgeable of the menu, gave great suggestions on which meat to choose and why, and gave great service. My boyfriend and I were very pleased with both our meals. I had the Asian Noodle Salad with Filet Mignon(very tasty) and he got the 8 ounce Filet Mignon. They KNOW how to cook a steak. We really enjoyed our meal! Thanks Jeff!

Pleasantly surprised for a restaurant at a mall. The prices were a little high, even for a steakhouse. The restaurant was open and good enough. With a reservation, we were taken to a table near the bathroom which we quickly changed to a booth in a better spot. Our server Herman was extremely friendly and helpful and helped take this restaurant from three stars to four. Starters wedge and chop salads were decent and the dry aged ribeye med rare was cooked perfectly. Paying $ 60 for a tender and delicious steak is a bit hard to swallow. Side of creamed spinach was really good but the Mac n cheese was a bit disappointing. They were out of this triple chocolate peanut butter cake that sounded amazing. Next time I would make sure they had that in stock.

My husband and I had a great time here. Our server, Allen, took his time to give us several food and wine recommendations since it was our first time here, and his choices were spot on. My hubby loved his porterhouse steak and my chicken was very juicy, not dry at all. I also had the chopped salad to start(so good!) and an excellent cab to go with everything. We will be back.

Everything here is a copy of other restaurants, they have zero original dishes, nothing to separate it from«Black Angus» ! Well except for the outlandish prices! Place seems like it is run by a cheap miser owner trying to save money at guests expense. I had the filet and it had no flavor and baked potato had a brown growth in middle of it and took over 30 min to get a new one. No manager ever came over to apologize, server could have cared less.

Went there for a work dinner. It’s lovely and very luxe; however, it’s a steakhouse and there are no vegetarian options at all. I ordered the blackened chicken salad, but didn’t eat the chicken; however, there were two upsides. One was that the salad was huge and appeared to be a better value than what the other carnivores in the party got, and secondly, it was really good! I’m delighted when steakhouses recognize there are more types of lettuce besides iceberg and romaine. The server was in a real hurry to take our orders, but seemed to go AWOL when we wanted our check. The wine selection looked great(I declined this go-round, with it being a work-related dinner) and everyone enjoyed their meals.

The lone thing that kept this from getting one star was the service. We were there earlier this week after being unable to get seated at Buffalo Wild Wings. The food itself, a filet sandwich and a rainbow roll, was good enough, but not exceptional. But, I had ordered an Old Fashioned and it wasn’t even close to what it’s supposed to be. The drink I got as a replacement was a Captain & Coke. That was probably one of the worst Rum & Cokes I have ever had. Honestly, if this place is supposed to be a high end traditional steak house, it fails miserably. Get your bar together here, Mr. Larsen and maybe you can begin to justify your prices.

This is probably the fanciest place in Simi Valley. I’ve always been curious to know how the steak tasted here, so I came here one day with my better half. We shared a steak with a side of salad and garlic mashed potatoes and it was sufficient for both of us. I had a Moscow mule with my meal and it was refreshing. The steak was so juicy and flavorful. I would recommend getting the steak done medium rare. The service was excellent and even though it was a fancy restaurant, it was nice to see people dressed in casual clothes. I would definitely come back here again. They also sell Larsen’s gift cards at Costco. You can guy two $ 50 gift cards for $ 80. This place is located in the Simi Valley Town Center, so there’s plenty of parking. Although, the steak was delicious, it also wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, and it’s on the pricey end, but this place is a solid 4 stars.

Glad this restaurant is here in Simi. Don’t have to fight the crowds in Thousand Oaks and Woodland Hills to enjoy a nice grown-up dinner. Had the albacore roll and it was great! Albacore inside and outside that melts in your mouth. The good-sized crab cakes were nice, and the tri-tip soup was very tasty. The Chilean sea bass was also good sized and was very light and well-prepared. The prime tri-tip and baby back ribs were amazing! Our server Kelly was professional and very pleasant. Definitely recommend her.
