Tried to stop for lunch at 2:15…half the restaurant was empty but they told us we had to wait 15 minutes. The service here is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Every time we try to give it another chance, I am reminded why we don’t eat here.

Second time we have been to Chili’s lately with less than fabulous results. Last time we dined in but this thing we ordered to go. Last time we were disappointed with the smothered prime rib burrito which was hard pressed to have 3 whole small peices of prime rib. Tonight we ordered the Texas fries with a side of chili(.75 extra) we got ½ of a to go sauce cup with chili sauce… not even a bean. So my husband who was picking it up full decided to purchase a full bowl of chili(5.9?). We managed to get a much larger container of just chili sauce. There was no beans no meat just thick chili flavored sauce. All I wanted was some chili for my fries so I could have just opened a can of hormel and gotten a more robust chili. I ended up throwing all of the chili out. The burger and fries were ok but I hate when my dinners are hit and miss every time.

I regularly visit both this location and the one in Woodland Hills/West Hills, but this review is for my visit 3 hours ago. I am a member of their Rewards program; more on that later. I was in the mood for a Happy Hour Margarita with my Sunday lunch, so I got here just before Noon. The host was seating the couple who had arrived seconds before me, and the bar tender called to me and asked if i’d like to be seated in her section. She took my drink order(water) and since I began looking at the menu at the table, I gave her my order when she brought it, along with my REAL drink order. Margarita on the rocks, salted rim: Excellent. I had ordered the Sweet and Smoky Burger with extra pickles and Tabasco Sauce for the fries. Settling in to play a game on my phone, my lunch arrived in no time at all. At first sight, the burger is stacked high with the crispy onion rings, tomato and lettuce topping the cheese, and the bacon strips in an x cross extending well beyond the bun. Fries are in that stainless steel ‘pencil box’ lined with a paper sheet, aesthetically to match the height of the burger(?) or maybe just to look awesome. The burger appeared to be well done, with the cheese well mented, the bacon just less than crispy and the tomato and lettuce still crisp. The taste was very good+, and in spite of the well done center, it still had enough escaping juices to make it a 2 napkin burger.(Actually a 3 napkin burger, since the napkins are flimsy.) I have never been a fan of Chilis fries, but with a dash of Tabasco and a few bites of pickle slices they were a tasty compliment to the burger.((Hint to Chilis: Ask for ‘Better Fries’ from Corporate. I know that you can only prepare & serve what they give you.)) Logging into the on-table Kiosk, I got credit for my meal on their Rewards network(not enough for anything FREE this meal.) I also viewed my point balance, saw my meal and bar total and could pay the check. Since i pay cash, I simply handed over the requisite amount with tip and went on to the rest of my day. Solid 4.5 Stars, rounded up for Awesome! ************************************************ Just a quick note about the Chilis Rewards program — it is the most beneficial one out there to me. I gave them my email, and it seems nearly every week they offer a promotion to «take my point balance to the next level.» A few times over the last month they offered a bonus of 100 points if I bought a $ 20 Shrimp dish or ordered $ 20 of Chillis To Go. Many times my visits there were prompted by receiving the more time sensitive(upcoming weekend only) temporary bonus Rewards points. It is generally good food, good environment and a good time.

This place has really gone downhill! Terrible service!(both dining inside and take-out). I’ve gone here 3 times in last 6 months, and all 3 times were awful.(including being on hold for 6 mins to place an order. And not even during peak busy time!) Three strikes and you are OUT! Save your money and frustration and go elsewhere.

This place has gone downhill and fast. The new menu is terrible. This place used to have honest food now it’s just complicated. I’ve only come here because our kids like it and I generally order an iced tea. The food sucks. The service is not bad. It’s always really loud and the hostess can generally care less. I can now say that I will now avoid this place like the plague. Save time and money you better off with well…, anyplace else. I wish I could be more positive but I can’t.

This restaurant is by far Simi Valley worst! Simple soup and salad was horrible! And the lack of service, our waitress was so unfriendly and would walk away in mid sentence. Never asked if the food was ok. Until she was removing our plates! We walked in happy and left like we went to a funeral. Oh when we went to pay our bill she took the kiosk from us when we got to the survey part! Wow how convenient. The place was not clean. And the table across from was sending back food as well!

They only had half the restaurant open and even though half the place had tables open we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. 2.5 hours later we were finally done. This was after half the table was served 30 minutes before the other half. No one received refills. The waitress was no where to be found. We learned later that they had 3 people running the entire restaurant, including the bar which was packed. Oh, and we went to celebrate a birthday and the waitress tells us they are out of everything except chocolate cake and ice cream and it’s been that way for a week. They were also out of menu items. She also told us working there is awful. Yea, no kidding! Awful management! We talked to the manager(who I’m not sure was even old enough to be out of high school) and he said«sorry» Not going back. I’m giving 2 stars only because I feel sorry for the waitress!

Don’t aggravate yourself. Management really needs an overhaul or completely replaced. Only gave the 2 stars because or server was a very attentive and congenial young lady. She earned both all by herself. I practically lived on Boneless Buffalo chicken salad and this was my family’s go-to place. It’s gone WAY downhill. I now live in Fresno and loooove Fresno Chilis. First, restaurant on a busy Sunday Football afternoon. Hostess came out from her spot in the back of the bar where she was hanging out with four other staff members and told us it would be a 15 – 20 minute wait. But, that we could sit in the bar. I told her«we have young children.» She responded«it’s ok, they’re allowed.» Really? Baby in a bar. Ah, no. Management faux pas #1. I asked about the entirely empty side of the restaurant. She said«we closed that side early.» Whaaaat??? It was about 2:00 on a football Sunday and the other side(non-view side) of the place was packed in like sardines. Management faux pas #2. The hostess disappeared again. She came back and immediately seated my family. Where was the wait? While they were being seated, I asked a server who came into the bar if we could still buy a $ 50 gift card with their $ 10 bonus. She asked the bartender and they sold me one. We sat down and ordered appetizers, margaritas, meals, and dessert. We were there for quite a while and ran up a nice bill. Now that I remember, the family across from us left and no one busses their table or cleared out plates. We had to put our dirty plates on the forgotten dirty dish table to make room for the next course. A couple hours later, when we were ready to leave, I handed the nice server my gift card and credit card. She came back to say the gift card didn’t go through. She brought back an unkempt, very tall, very abrupt man dressed in a depressing gray outfit. He came back with a refund for my gift card(didn’t ask for it to be refunded) and only said«here’s your refund, we’ll need the $ 10 bonus gift card back.» Excuse me? Management faux pas #3. I said«that’s not what I want.» He said«we can’t get around the 4 hour wait period.» And i told him the young lady who sold me the card and the bartender failed to make mention of that policy. Management faux pas #4. I said«try harder.» And my family offered to leave me there for the last hour that would make it 4 hours. He never returned. Management faux pas #5. After family took the youngest member out to play outside(still waiting) the«manager» came to the table. She was also dressed in the unkempt, wrinkled, tired gray color and looked as if she had been put through the wringer. Her hair was a fright. Even of she had worked 5 hours, she could’ve checked her pony tail in a mirror. I really thought someone was punking me and had been sending out the cleaning people instead of management to see what I’d do. Management faux pas #6 She had no idea what was going on. She asked me if I got my credit card back. Whaaaat!!! When I told her none of the four employees in the bar when I bought the card told me about the 4 hour policy, her response was«that’s a training opportunity.» I told her that didn’t help me. Management faux pas #7. I told her to check with her staff, gave her the $ 10 «bonus card» back and waited. Again. The server came by and asked«has anyone spoken with you?» Bruh. Management faux pas #8. I paid my bill and went to the ladies room. On the way out, I saw the manager in the crowded bar, hanging out with some guy at a table, chatting. I asked the new person at the hostess stand who that lady was. She said«the manager.» She still looked less put-together than our server. Management faux pas #9. So, eating at a restaurant for ten years and going back when in town with fsmily who eat there often did not even warrant an offer of a comped drink, dessert, or even a discount. In fact, one man did his best to try and shame me about the discount card. Really? Do you get snotty about Groupons, too? Oh, and my niece didn’t tell me she had bad service the last time she took her family here because she wanted«to give them a chance.» My family are in sales. Happy customers are repeat business. As for me and my family, we will find another place for molten lava cake and save Chilis’ visits for those restaurants that value our business, treat us politely, dress as if they are at work, and don’t try to shame customers, like the Chilis in Fresno on 1st.

not even worth the money. I’ve came here since I was little and I’ve always had an amazing experience. but lately it’s been getting worse. service was slow and there was only another family and I needed a refill and the waitress passed 5 times and didn’t refill my lemonade. and the best part was the hair. on the onion rings. i will never go here again. I rather drive 25+ miles to a different Chili’s. Manager is never on duty.

Sub-par service. Decent chain food. Live right down the street but only went here once with family and the sweet server was just totally out of it. No matter how friendly and funny you are, you can still ruin a diner’s experience by being a really terrible server. She forgot too many important things and disappeared for far too long for us to be satisfied. I can’t base it all on one server though which is why they get 3 stars. I’m sure it’s just the luck of the draw.

Overall: 4.5 stars out of 5 Rating based on dine-in dinner service. Pros: we shared the 2 for $ 20 dinner which was excellent! We had the guacamole & chips and the chicken fajita entrée and the chicken & bacon quesadillas. We were super hungry so we ordered a cup of bacon cheddar soup — also delicious! They also have an option for a $ 35 dinner where you get the above 2 for $ 20 deal and two margaritas and a dessert — we are totally going back for that option next time! The renovation in the main eating areas looked really nice, too. Cons: the ladies restroom was ridiculously small. While it was very clean, it could definitely use a remodeling. Also, the parking lot was dark and it’s by the Costco parking lot so it gets super busy and crowded.

This by far was one of the worst experiences I have had at Chili’s. It started when I found a plastic plug in my iced tea(see picture). When I told the closest waitress she laughed and said that it was the plug from the iced tea. Then went off to get me a new drink(which she brought with no straw, hardly any ice and not even full). I then told my waitress who also laughed and shrugged it off, as if this was normal. Then our chips and salsa arrive and the chips were all broken, as if they were the crumbs at the bottom. Then she disappears for over 10 minutes, in which time my toddler needed a refill on water. I had to ask the hostess to get her water and told her our waitress was MIA and we needed more chips and salsa. When she finally comes she has 1 entrée which had brown avocado slices on it, yuck and no chips and salsa. The hostess never even told her. Then the second entrée arrived and it was in one piece. However the amount of salt was ridiculous. There was never an apology for the plastic plug or the lacking service and there was no compensation on the bill. The entire visit was a major fail on Chili’s part. They only reason I gave them a 2 was the second batch of chips and salsa were good.

Chili’s is a pretty decent place to grab a bite to eat, however, it is nothing that will really knock your socks off. This is your typical sports bar/restaurant much like a TGI Friday’s or a BJ’s. My wife and I stopped in this evening for dinner since we were in the immediate area and we weren’t really sure what we felt like having for dinner. The good thing about Chili’s is that they offer a pretty wide variety of food. My wife had the Mango-Chili Tilapia and I had the Bacon-Ranch Chicken Quesadilla. I tried their blackberry iced tea for the first time. The iced tea tastes good but it is your standard squirt of syrup with regular iced tea and you have to mix it yourself before you take your first sip through your straw. The quesadilla is really good size. I have not been able to eat an entire one by myself yet. The wife enjoyed her tilapia, so overall, it was a decent experience.

Been here over an hour and we still haven’t received our tacos. I think they are being imported from Mexico. It is Sunday at 230, the place is half empty. Horrible experience at the local Chilis… Update: going on 2 hours and finally got our check. This place is the worst. I have a picture of the kitchen– disgusting.

Apparently the chefs at this location do not know what Well done means on steaks as they are always medium to rare instead. Also did not get garlic bread with the steak, which really sucks since I really like it. I won’t be going back.

We have been visiting this Chili’s for several years now. It is usually hit or miss. The food is always good. It is the service that is sometimes lacking. We had not been here in a couple of years and decided to give it another try. The restaurant has been totally renovated inside and looks very nice. It has a more sleek and stylized look to it now. They also have little computers on the table from which you can order desserts or pay your bill. You can also play games, but BEWARE because it costs 99 cents and nowhere does it state that clearly. The menu has been updated and there are plenty of different food items to choose from. I think even the pickiest eaters can find something to eat. I really enjoy Triple Dipper appetizer. This way you can try a variety of items. We really like the Boneless Buffalo Wings and the Southwestern egg rolls. The burgers are also very good. On our most recent visit, I tried the Caribbean Salad with shrimp added on. It was very tasty. The salad portion is just enough and they did no skimp on the shrimp. On our most recent visit, I have to say that the service was definitely lacking on this day. Our server was doing several things at once and taking care of several tables. He confused our order with the table next to us and was slow to refill our drinks, waiting until we were halfway done with our meal to do so. He also misunderstood when we said we were ready for our check, thinking we were going to use the self service computer. We were pretty clear that we were waiting for our check but he wasn’t listening. The restaurant was clean and well kept. I really do like the remodel. It looks very nice now. There is plenty of parking but due to sharing the parking lot with Costco, it can get pretty busy at times. We will probably be back. I would really like to try some of the new menu items. Hopefully, the service will improve by then. 33⁄100

Service slow. Especially for 830 at night. Egg rolls were good and the company was fun. However the kids are starting to get restless and claiming the server has forgotten about us! Please send are waiters soon. The kids are fading fast.

I gotta say that the new renovation looks pretty good. The fajita trio is very good, I always get the chicken, steak and shrimp. The food has gotten much better over the years and I am impressed. The chips and salsa also got a renovation with it’s cooking process and taste.

After giving this location a couple more tries, I’ve decided to revise my review. It seems new management came into play(or took previous complaints to heart). Our past three visits have been very enjoyable. Good service, fresh and tasty food and updated checkout machines right on your table. No more waiting 20 minutes to get your check due to understaffing. The facility is clean and well maintained. The chili & cheese dip has been changed back to its original quality and the hot wings are once again fantastic. The $ 20 for 2 deal is a great bargain. Overall, this location has earned back our business after taking off 1 – 2 years due to previous shortcomings. Happy to raise my rating from 1 to 4 stars.
