I needed some work done on my guitar same day. After calling around some other places, Dan was able to fit me in for a full setup. He was super nice and did a damn nice job taking care of my guitar. I will come back again for future service.

I had heard about how reliable xu’s string guitar repair was through word of mouth and decided to get a pickup installed from him. I was very pleased to find not only was it completed in a timely fashion, the quality of the customer service and his work was better than what I had anticipated… Definitely would return to him in the future and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing any work done on their instruments.

I’ve gotten all my guitars and basses serviced and upgraded here. The work Daniel does is excellent and won’t break the bank. Most notably he did a complete work up on my old Washburn — lowered the action, bone nut, bone saddle, refret, pickup installation, and even repaired a broken headstock. He grinds the nuts and saddles by hand — care goes into every single one. I’ve since brought my Baby Taylor, Yamaha FG-​180, Dean EAB, and Ibanez GSR205 electric bass for service. I highly recommend Xu Strings to everyone!

I have a very old 20+ year Yamaha guitar with a million scratches on it. The fret board was worn, and the tuning pegs were atrocious. Daniel refinished the wood, I think he polished up the fret board and replaced all 6 tuning pegs. He did a couple other things like set me up with Pyramid strings (which sound better than elixirs IMO, but doesn’t last as long) and it only cost me around 100. It’s a steal if you ask me. My Yamaha sounds great compared to my Taylor 310ce. He also changed my Taylor strings and it sounds beautiful. I am only going to him for my guitar needs

Great guy to work on my guitar. Got him to setup and string a project fretless guitar. He did a great job lowering the action and stringing thick flat wound strings on it. Very happy with the results. Would recommend him for any guitar work.
