I needed documents notarized and stopped this afternoon at the branch. The CSR was extremely pleasant and had me wait for Ms Heinrich who was with a customer. After Ms Heinrich spent about ten minutes trying to help this customer, he stepped over to the teller while Ms Heinrich could research the issue. At the urging of another bank staff Ms Heinrich notarized my two documents, when I requested her to do be an additional favor and make a copy of these documents, Ms Heinrich told me that there was a charge for making copies. When I informed her that I was a bank customer, her surly response was that this was why I was not charged for her notary service and grudgingly told me that she would make the copies. Certainly not the level of service I was expecting to receive being a 30+ years customer. Kudos to Capital One bank on University Blvd in Kensington– where I was directed to last week by staff at the Kensington Sun Trust branch-where received courteous, friendly service –was not asked if I was a customer or charged. Which bank would you bank with?
