I’d give zero stars if possible. I never went to see the Dr. due to the extremely unprofessional behavior of the female staff member that I encountered yesterday. Apparently my federal insurance provider was a problem from the beginning because she complained they are so restrictive. I gave them a new temp card because I had just got this insurance at the new enrollment period and that proved to be a huge problem. Apparently, they didn’t get whatever information they wanted and I could hear her ranting and raving about how they were just going to deny the claim and how I got what I paid for. Then she even had the nerve to say that if it takes to long they’ll just take their patients when they start coming in and wont see me! Ridiculous behavior, I felt like walking out at that point. What really made me feel like I was in the twilight zone was that she litterally cursed out loud when the insurance wouldn’t give them my address and she started shouting about lies and how I’d been here too long to not have my info updated… even referring to me as ‘that girl’. Which I am too old to be called. Once I went to the window to ask her what is wrong then she acted halfway human and acted completely frustrated and flustered about my insurance. I have never had any problem with my insurance at any practice ever before like this, nor have I been treated like I was a nuisance because I dared to get service from them. Only because I asked her about whats going on did she offer to have me pay for a consultation, otherwise, she would have just had me sit there on purpose, knowing I wouldn’t get helped which is highly unethical. Had she not acted like a complete … I couldn’t have thought of paying and putting in a claim to resolve all that but I wouldn’t think to give this shady place a dime. There are way too many Podiatrists in the area to be bothered with this place! Dr. Lugo may be a fine doctor, but his front staff casts a poor reflection on what he allows as standards of professionalism.
