Counter Culture recently completed a counter top, back splash, and new sink/faucet project for our kitchen in Takoma Park. The quality of the advice during the initial consultation, followed by the quality of installation and aftercare were just terrific. it’s funny because they made a few admitted mistakes along the way — which is OK — mistakes happen — but it was the way they owned the mistakes and fixed them that made all the difference as far as I’m concerned. The result is such a tremendous improvement in both the look and function of our kitchen. I also appreciated working with a small company that took true ownership of the project at every stage. I felt like they had as much interest in the kitchen looking great as I did — almost as if each of the people who worked on the project were doing their own kitchens, not just mine. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and would recommend them to anyone doing a kitchen counter top project(and I will be using them again in the future for a bathroom renovation).

I would recommend this company to anyone. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly and helpful and the work was completed within two weeks of the first thought. The price was good, they were flexible with a few changes to the original estimate and the installers could not have been more efficient or polite. I would rather work with a small business like this than go with a big box store any day of the week.

The only way I will trust this company to do any work for me is if they will be willing to do the job first before any payments are made. Who is to say they will not file bankruptcy again(previously called counter intelligence Inc) and open uner yet another name. Of course I will have to go in it knowing that I may not get a long lasting warranty which means it will have to be dirt cheap to even consider it.
