I always refer HB to a Michaels on steroids; better yet, the Kolh’s of crafts stores. This craft centric business has everything you ever thought possible of needing for decorations, and then some. Pros; lots of different crafty items to choose from. Weekly sales that help out tremendously with a cost of an item(like Kolh’s). Only place local I know where you can find nice Christian themed cards/decorations. Friendly staff. Cons; can be well overpriced on things like crayons, markers, and even frames compared to other box stores. Seeing more and more cheaply made items from China and higher prices. ** I still cannot get over their check out registers.

I was looking for a particular gift this past Christmas and went to Hobby Lobby. Their in-store price was more expensive than their online price for the same exact item?! Even the cheaper price was way more than I paid from a different online retailer. I did some researching and found that I could find pretty much anything Hobby Lobby was selling online for a better price(even with shipping included). If you needed something right away I could see buying from the store, but my suggestion to everyone is to visit the store, take pictures of what you like then go home and look online. My experience was that I found everything cheaper online. Even some things that were marked on sale at Hobby Lobby I found cheaper online.

I was so excited to visit Hobby Lobby during their Grand Opening. I’ve been back a couple times, and it’s a great addition to the limited shopping in Sierra Vista. The store is clean, they have lots of great items, and the employees are friendly. Keep up the good work!
