Alexander’s Tree Service

Called the number on Unilocal regarding a tree consult in Sierra madre and I get «I’m not interested so sorry» hung up before I could even ask about his services. He doesn’t want my business obviously. Terrible customer service. Absolutely RUDE hanging up the phone.

Requested an estimate to take out 3 palm trees and rose bushes. He wanted to CUT the palms because digging the roots out would take too much time and didn’t want to just remove the rose bushes because the job would be too small. He was rude and extremely unprofessional.

When a person starts writing a review of Unilocal the first thing she has to do is give a rating and when the rating is five stars it says «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» Well I gave Randy of Alexander’s Tree Service five stars because after owning nearly an acre with lots of trees for 36 years, he is as good as it gets.
Randy scheduled an appointment to check the trees on my property and was on time and responded quickly. He notified me that one of the trees should not be cut for a month for its health and we scheduled for today.
The crew was right on time today and they did an outstanding job with six trees including a protected variety which required a certified Arborest to cut. Randy is one of the longest licensed Arborists in California and he knows what he is doing. He was fast, the job was completed quickly and the property was cleaned outstandingly well.
All debris was hauled away. Even the payment was handled quickly and easily.
I have worked with many tree cutters. Some are more butchers than «tree people.»
Randy is at the top of his game and has give expert testimony in numerous litigations
regarding tree issues. I recommend him highly. He will be the one I call in the future.

This is one of the strongest 5 star reviews I have ever written for any company on Unilocal.Eric and his crew were polite, honest, hard working, courteous, aims to please, and just overall outstanding. He showed right on time to give us an estimate for our job. He and his crew again showed right on time for the day of the work. We were more than happy with all of the work that was done. The trees looked excellent after they were done, and they didn’t damage any of our other trees/​plants/​walls that were in the way.
We had 2 other bids from other companies that had the highest reviews here on Unilocal… One company was really nice but wanted $ 600 more than Eric’s bid. Another company came out and was really pushy and was in a rush «because someone was waiting in the car.» He didn’t give us an estimate at the time nor did he ever call us again to give us the estimate. Why bother showing up if you’re going to be in a rush?
At the end of the day, we went with Eric (of Alexander’s Tree Service) and were extremely happy. This guy is so nice and does exactly what he says he’s going to do so I really want him to succeed. Please give them a call for any tree service that’s required. He’s a great guy and his prices are unbeatable.

Great job and his crew cleaned up the mess quite well! Reasonable price and great service. Most importantly, nothing damaged in the tree cutting process.
