Went here for the first time in years the service was pretty horrible. Literally sat there in front of two woman restocking paper cups and had to ask if they were still open before the acknowledge our presence. After getting 2 rounds of bad creamers we decided to stick with water and French toast. Food was served prompt but not nearly at thrilling as the menu would have left you to believe. Won’t go back unless it’s the last restaurant open after an alien.

Service is fine Cash only but they have an atm there. Ive been here a few times. Omelettes are good and the kids love the pancakes and waffles. I got the new doo or the poached eggs over sausage and english muffin topped with cheese. Idk i guess i was expecting a cheese sauce and not a slice of cheese. I couldve just got the egg sandwich for 3 bucks cheaper. I also got the hashbrowns instead of homefries. Big mistake. 1. I got charged extra for a substitution and the hashbrowns are horrible. Im not a picky eater but i make better frozen hashbrowns at home. Ill go again w the kids cuz they like the selection for the pancakes and waffles but ill have to stick to that too or an omelette.

I’ve been here a handful of times and it isn’t likely I will become a regular. The friend I went with informed me that it took 15 minutes just to get our order taken(and it wasn’t very busy), Water and coffee were both delivered with puddles spilling out around them on the table that the waitress seemed not interested in cleaning up. The waitress seemed not terribly interested in anything related to customer service. Perhaps they do take better care of regulars, but how to you intend to create a «regular» when the service is a bit of a turn off? The food is fine, nothing to rave about, but not bad. The best part is the décor and the menu is fun to read — since you clearly will have a lot of time to read it, enjoy it.

Maybe this is a good place if you’re one of the regulars… I’ve come twice in the last month, on slow weekday mornings. Both times, greeted with an «I’ll be right with you», and both times it was another five and ten minutes before I was even offered coffee. The waitress’ time was spent chatting with customers about their kids. On the first visit, the poached eggs(with melted American cheese and sausage patty on English) were a bit overdone, so they didn’t spill out onto the muffin as I would have liked. Not a huge deal– poached can be fussy, though the result was pretty dry. On the second visit, the cold cheese omelet was folded over pre-shredded, completely unmelted cheese. Toast was cold and unbuttered. I had to ask for a refill of the coffee twice. Food was mediocre, was not totally disastrous, both times, and could have been balanced out had a server shown any friendliness or concern with my experience. Too many nearby options with better food and friendly, competent help– skip this place.

We came around 10:30 a.m. last Saturday. We were immediately seated in a comfortable booth. The restaurant was one third full. Thus, the service was even more efficient and friendly. The layout of the menu featuring the same items was changed. We noticed prices went up. For example, there was a 10% price increase on the bagel made with two eggs and cheese. This dish was at $ 4.15 instead of $ 3.75. The place was still cash only. It was easy and free to park on their private parking lot.

On a whim I stopped here for breakfast. This is my new favorite diner in the area. This being the town that invented the car diner that says a lot. Service was great, the menu was creative yet traditional diner fare. See you next weekend.

Wednesday, 12:30PM. Just TRIED to get lunch. Two waitresses talking to couple in back of us. Only one other table was occupied and they left while we were there. Finally, one waitress saying she’ll be right with us. 5 minutes later she comes back saying«I bet you want to kill me…». Takes our drink order. Comes back with drinks. We attempted to order. She says she doesn’t take orders and tells another waitress«They’re ready to order» and disappears. Another few minutes and no sign of waitress. Needless to say, we left! Went to a PACKED Lou Roc’s and had our meal 5 minutes after we entered.

Just had breakfast at Dinkys. Have been there many times. Asked for hash browns well done. If you don’t ask for them well done they come out barely done. To be honest we have had to send the potatoes back on other occasions. This morning, we had the waitress with black hair. She chose not to even come to the table after serving us except to drop off the bill. We waited patiently to tell her the hash browns had basically been deep fried and way over fried. They had the tecture of finely shredded wood chips. They sincerely should not have been served. I think if something comes out of the kitchen poorly you should tell the server so the next customer does not have the poor experience. To my attonishment her reply was«you’ve had problems with your potatoes before, I don’t know why you order them» and walked away. I would not recommend Dinkys.

Great little spot, friendly staff and prompt service. Basically, what a diner should be. Will return and highly recommend!

Always excellent. Menu is large and offers much variety for breakfast. There is usually a 5 – 10 min wait on the weekends, but it is well worth it! The not-so-dinky breakfast is perfect… gives you a little bit of everything!

Easy to find location, nice waitresses, good food. We had pancakes and an omelette and both were very good and made with fresh ingredients. This will be our new go-to breakfast spot!

After being told they didn’t except cards and costing me $ 2.50 in fees to withdraw money from their atm, I had my silverware thrown at me, had a waitress screaming while talking to everyone around me like she was at a Metallica concert, laughing and joking with the other waitress about driving drunk and hitting things(because that’s funny and proper workplace talk) just to end my breakfast by having my check thrown at me as well. Never asked how the food was, never came back. The food was good, props to the chef, but the service and behavior of the wait staff is something to be desired to say the least.

Great breakfast spot — there can be a wait sometimes, but the food is good. Love the French toast and their over easy eggs. Hits the spot when in the mood for diner food.

Breakfast Saturday morning and it wasn’t that busy, but we waited 45 minutes for our food! My over-easy egg was more like overhard, boo! I liked my grilled bagel with cream cheese and the homefries were just ok but on the salty side. Super cheap and plenty of parking.

I’ve been told about this place for years and finally drove out there. It’s literally right outside of Worcester. I went there by myself on a busy Sunday afternoon around noon. I only waited for about 5 minutes before I sat at the bar. Although they were clearly busy and running around constantly the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. I ordered my usual breakfast, two eggs over easy, home fries, rye toast and lots of coffee. It tasted great and I was especially impressed with the home friends, because you can see that they’re made from real potatoes instead of the stringy mess that you get at some places. It only came to $ 7 and I was on my way. Overall, I had a great experience filled with good food and a pleasant atmosphere!

I went there for the first time with my boyfriend today, we sat at the bar area, it was very cute inside. I had to start off my meal and iced coffee and a water, while my boyfriend ordered a hot coffee and water. I am a very picky eater, so when our waitress came over the first time I needed a little more time to plan my meal out. Once we were ready to order, which was about 6 minutes after she came over, we waited another 6 for her to finally come over and take our orders. I had a plate of sauteed veggies with two poached eggs on the side and a banana. My boyfriend had the french toast. When our food came out i had one large plate of veggies and two eggs, i was so happy to see all those veggies!!! My boyfriend liked his meal. It was 16 $ for all that, and at the end of our meal our waitress gave me a to go cup for my coffee. Overall it is a cute diner, and i cannot wait to go back.

Loved Dinky’s!!! Our brother in law wanted us to try this place while we were visiting. We wanted to go to a mom and pop place and Dinky’s is just that. The service is as if they were your family. Very nice and easy going. I ordered the I am an Eggman breakfast. The 2 eggs, homemade home fries and toast. I added sausage links. It was so good! The best breakfast I’ve ever had. When I’m in town I will definitely be coming back.

If you are looking for breakfast and a little nostalgia Dinky’s is the right place. Housed in an old train car with overflow seating in a non-train car area it is just what you’re looking for in a diner. Even though it’s only been in business since 1992, it seems much older than that without the over the top/tacky/faux-old décor found in some chain diners. The selection is extensive with eggs, french toast, pancakes, waffles, omelets, and even Kielbasa available. Everything we had was very good, as was the service. If you’re in the area be sure to stop in.
