This is my new neighborhood convenience store, and for the most part, as with any convenience store, as I am new to this neighborhood, and as with any convenience store, you pay for that convenience. The gas is high here. I’d say that it is typically above anywhere from 15 to 30 cents a gallon from the cheapest places in town. During Mardi Gras parades this is a good place to wobble in and pick up another 40 or a sixer, as I have done in times past, as this store is located at the very end of the parade route. Right now, and I am hoping for the remainder of the summer this store has 99 cents any-sized fountain drink and Icees. They also offer Icees in Skinny Bear(Diet). This store is neighbors with a Johnny’s Pizza, Rollin’ in the Dough and a Shreve Memorial Library location. My wife calls this store Star Mart because it used to be a Texaco back in the day. It’s a decent enough store.
