Great local joint! Make sure to get the sandwich that is dipped and fried in egg, I can’t recall the name but it’s amazing! The pies are a little pricy but totally worth it. Love it here!

Went for my first time today and I’m hooked! Had the shrimp salad, which was fantastic! The salad dressing is perfect! Soup of the day was a creamy spinach and it was seasoned perfect. Ended lunch with an almond pie, which was more like ice cream then pie, but a great flavor. I’ll be back!

We loved this place, it was a little scary from the out side and we were thrown off by the ordering procedure but it was worth it. Great service and even better food.

We’ve got family in the Bosier City/Shreveport area and I they realize a stop at Jacquelyn’s is understood if we’re in town. I just wish they were open for dinner.

Crabmeat sandwich— OOOh my goodness it is GOOD. It’s been here for over 25 years as Jacquelyn’s but was a hamburger joint before(1940’s) great atmosphere — it’s about loud b/c It is where the locals eat and catch up on news. The owner is takes your order– so get your order together before you get to him – known lovingly as our local«soup nazi»(Seinfeld) but when you see the line behind you at the counter … you will know why

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it type of building, and upon walking in, you may not be bowled over by the décor, but the food is super-rad-awesome. The shrimp étouffée and jambalaya will melt your face off just by sheer greatness. The gumbo isn’t anything to sneeze at either. But the important thing to note is that if you are looking for a cheap lunch outpost, this is where you need to head. It. Is. Cheap.
