We spent a wonderful long weekend in Pinetop and for our ride home wanted coffee from a local place and chose Elements. Inside is very smokey from the grill, I guess they need a new exhaust system. The service was awfully slow as there was only one person working. If you can put up with all of this, you can get a very good latte.

I really wanted to like this place but it was just alright. When I’m in a small town I like to try and support local businesses. Its always fun going to little cafes that serve house-made whatever. The waitress seemed overtired or super busy, just overall kind of annoyed. I ordered the beer brat. She asked what side I wanted with my order and seemed irritated that she had to say everything they offered when it was written in the menu(that i guess i didn’t read and neither did my husband so i kindly saved her breath and repeated the options for him). I almost wanted to take my business to a different little café that might appreciate us more. Anyway, the brat was delicious though it came with no sauerkraut or anything else besides a sandwich bun.

Delicious breakfast, gigantic pancakes, heat up scramble and omlettes… we would come back!

the espresso tastes like weak brewed coffee. 12 minutes after ordering an awesome-sounding black bean burger, i was told there is none. the alternate sandwich that followed was so pathetic, missing half of it’s ingredients. basically two tomato slices and some spinach, $ 9. still, three stars because i still have hopes for any place that is half-way trying in crappy Show Low. and i have a feeling they do better on other days. i know it’s hard to hire good help in this part of the world, but they are amazingly unprepared for saturday tourists. i hope they survive!

I’m giving this place five stars, not because it is fine dining, but because we left super happy. We ordered just one pancake for the kid because we had already fed him because he couldn’t wait to eat on our schedule, and we figured he wasn’t too hungry. Well, the pancake was the size of a pizza! It was yummy and fluffy and he actually managed to down half of it and had the rest for breakfast the next day. We also ordered the Reuben. The bread was super thick rye bread and the meat was crusted with pepper! It was super good! We also ordered the Philly cheese steak and I thought it could use more veggies and it wasn’t quite traditional as we know it, so it wasn’t the best we’ve had but it was good. But, the best part was the home-made, freshly made corn chowder! At first we were very disappointed that this restaurant didn’t offer french fries… so we «settled» for the soup. We were super happy that we didn’t order stupid fries!!! The soup was amazing! We will go back when in the area for sure.

Tried it twice but smells like greasy smoke in there. They need some sort of ventilation. Made me half sick so I could not enjoy the food.

We were visiting the area and had no idea where to eat. I noticed the«gluten free available» message on Elements’ window, and while we don’t have a gluten issue I thought perhaps they would also be vegetarian-friendly. We were right! We tried the veggie sandwich and the black bean burger. Both were great, especially the black bean burger — you can add salsa, bell pepper, and onion, and I was happy to find delicious yellow peppers on mine. We also tried the spinach dip, tomato soup, potato salad(my friend really enjoyed that), coffee, and cookies. We would recommend all of it. Thanks for offering some veg options. Small towns can be a challenge for us, and we were happy not to end up with cheese crisps yet again.

We live in town and have been going to Elements since they opened in their first location. Good food, but service has declined in the new improved location. For example, they would not change the TV channel to a World Cup game b/c «management wants the [Fox] news on all the time.»

It was awful from the service to the food. My latte was lukewarm and took 15min to get to me. Then the food arrived. I had the chorizo and eggs which claimed to be homemade. It smelt like the stuff in a tube and the eggs were still runny. By the time the waitress came over to check on us, my guest was already finished so I just asked for box to throw my food away in. I even watched other patrons grab food from the window since the waitress couldn’t handle the 6 tables that filled the place. Show Low restaurants are always hit and miss… this was a total miss!

I am so happy that I found this place tonight! My coworker and I are working in the area for a couple days and now I feel the mission and cravings to go back and try other dishes. It really is like going to your best friends house for family dinner. My meal was the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes… Oh gravy!!! The gravy was so good and flavorful. I had to get more of it! The meal also comes with a nice side salad before the entrée. My coworker got the pork chops and potato salad. He liked his chops but once he tried the meatloaf he had wished he ordered that. It was just that good! The menu looked diverse enough for all types of diets. I couldn’t leave with out carrying out some desert. They have fresh made cinnamon rolls. I am way too full to now to try it so it will be breakfast in the morning;) I want to give it 5 stars but I only had that one dish… So mission to go back and then on to 5 stars. I hope y’all do well and keep this amazing quality up!
