I’ve tried this place many times… And when they don’t mess up its great. However, this place consistently messes up my orders, leaves something out, or the driver just doesn’t show up. One of the worst delivery experiences I’ve had in Milwaukee.

I’ve always loved this place. The Phoenix is my favorite not to spicy! A great meal, good prices and friendly staff!

This my second visit to The Chocolate Factory in Shorewood, and I’ve had two pleasant experiences. Both times the sandwiches tasted great and had quality ingredients, the bread had an especially nice flakey crust. I had the Banh Mi sandwich this time which was very good, and something unique for a sandwich shop like this. The Chocolate Factory is a unique place and I especially like the beverage options of Phosphates and flavored sodas. I had a chocolate Pepsi(because why not if I’m already getting a sugary soda?), and my only complaint so far is that it couldn’t have been a chocolate Coke!

Very fond of the other Chocolate Factory locations however, this one falls short on several levels. The staff is rude. I’m not crazy about small talk but a smile, hello and a thank you would be ok. Soup was old and flavorless. When I brought this to their attention it was not even a concern. Sub bread was great. Lunch meat in the sandwich was old and very cheap. Had no flavor. Sub was thrown together with no care. Great locaton but please step it up some.

I’m giving this a 5 because it fills a dire need for Shorewood – easy takeout for dinner. I find the Phoenix sandwich tasty and my daughter likes the ham and cheese. It’s not anything fancy, but quick sandwiches from friendly staff at a decent price are enough for me.

I checked out the recently opened Shorewood location for lunch after my mother-in-law reported she had an «okay» $ 7.00 malt. I had the cold turkey sub with preserves and mild giardiniera, a cup of Italian wedding soup, a soda, and a junior-sized hot fudge sundae. I paid $ 13 for everything. Highlights: the service was great-everyone was very friendly and the food came instantly. The owner was there and he checked in with everyone(except me) and thanked everyone(except me) when they left. I don’t care about that; I think he attempted to check in with folks about their experience. Fine. The two problems with this place: the food stinks and it’s completely overpriced. The soup had zero flavor; I added two packets of salt and pepper just to make it palatable, and I never salt my food. I could barely taste the giardiniera, and the sundae was 1) your basic hot fudge sundae, priced as one would a small pot of gold and 2) very hard to eat. The junior was served in a clownishly small dish so that all the mediocre okayness overflowed the sides and cascaded quarters onto the table. Skip it and walk a couple blocks south to Benjis Deli.
