The Split End Salon

I started seeing Kylie and love her haircut and styling. She takes the time to see what would work best for you and gives suggestions. Very reasonable prices, too.

What a bummer! Just when I thought I found a great place to get a blowout, I heard the news today that Genesee is moving to a different salon. This is a review for her services. About a week ago, I got a great blowout from Genesee. The price can’t be beat ($ 29 for a shampoo and blowdry) and the quality was great; she left lots of volume like I asked. They also have lots of good (and recent!) magazines. Parking is easy and you can hit up Costco when you’re done! (Be sure and move your car to the Costco lot, so that you don’t have to carry your items through the barrier they have in place to discourage mixed-​use of parking lots.) It’s a shame Genesee is moving to work closer to home. The whole reason I came up here was for Genesee; I might have to look closer to home now that she’s gone!
Day 13 of 30 for 30!

I started out going to the Holman location (Greenwood) of TSES, but my stylist moved on up to the Aurora location. The staff has always made it easy to schedule a convenient appointment and I was very happy with the way I am was able to hop in and hop out and be on my way with a fresh new haircut. Pamela was great, very friendly and made the process a snap.
Wait, where did Pamela go?! Oh Pamela, I am lost with out you! I’m going to try and keep on smiling and maybe try another talented stylist. But just on the off-​chance, do any Split End Salon fans know if Pamela is still in the hair biz?

Wasn’t a very good cut and it seemed kind of disorganized…

I chose this salon simply because of the proximity to my house. I went there for a cut and color and I was impressed by the high level of service and the fairly reasonable prices. I called up a few days before I wanted to go in and got an appointment with Emily. She was fantastic! She really listened to me and I got the exact color and cut I wanted. I was so impressed that I made my next appointment while I was there. And usually hair cuts don’t look as good the first time I try and style them at home but this one did, so kudos for that.
I liked the way the salon was set up. It’s divided into several sections so you can’t really see all the hustle and bustle of the salon which makes the experience very relaxing. They are currently going through the last stages of a remodel. When I was there I was told they were doing the work at times when the salon was closed so it wouldn’t interfere with business. I will most likely up the review to five stars once the remodel is complete.

After spending time with other shops, I thought I would go where my wife goes. They were courteous, listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions. Julia rocked my cut.

Amanda at the Split End has been doing my hair now for a little over 2 years. She is fantastic!!! She is up to date on all the newest cuts and colors and always makes me look fantastic! If you are looking for someone who is great with color, foils and cuts than Amanda is the girl for you.

I love my salon. I have been coming here to get my hair «did» since i was 16 years old, so about 9 years. The same lovely lady has taken care of me since i was 17. I usually come in for a cut and a partial foil, and let me tell you, they do high end quality hair for a very reasonable price! The partial foil is more like a half foil at other salons, as some salons seem to have a limit to the number of foils they will put on your head for a certain price. I always get at least 30 to 50 foils in my hair per partial, which is more than ample. The woman that does my hair also gives a hell of a haircut. I have extremely thick knotty at times hair and she is the ONLY hair stylist that has never joked, commented, or complained about the thickness of my hair. She knows just what to do to thin it out, and make it look fabulous. A great color, cut, and great atmosphere, all for 93.00??? (not including tip) Im sorry but thats a steal in my book.
