Their House Special coffee is super good! It needs no altering. They make good crepes too! This is definitely my first pick for coffee for the time being.

This is my favorite place to study. The couple who run the place are so sweet and really make you feel at home. I like the food, and that’s important when I’m here all day studying!!!

I just moved into the Richmond Beach neighborhood and this is now my coffee stop of choice. The coffee is great and the owners are great — they get to know the folks in the neighborhood like me! I would recommend to anyone, visitor or resident of Richmond Beach.

I really wanted to like this café — it is walking distance from our new home. But to quote another reviewer«meh.» Not so much. And the last two times I went in, they got my crêpe order wrong.(Strawberries and cream — no Nutella) Today there were 4 people on staff and the fellow who took my order for a panini got distracted(hanging pictures) and apparently forgot about it and burned it. He then told me it was the last panini they had(made in advance?) and that it would take awhile to make a new one. And so… I waited…35 min(total) for a panini. And it had one slice of ham and one slice of cheese. So basically I had slightly flavored toast. Yay. Oh! And beware the tuna melt! It is made with a ton of sweet relish — and perhaps a tablespoon of tuna. Despite the convenience of location, alas, I will not be a «regular» at this place. 4x and I’m done.

You know those lazy Saturday or Sunday mornings when you just want to hang at your favorite local bistro, sip a latte(or in my case, an incredibly creamy chai), nosh on a fresh tasty healthy crêpe, maybe play a game of scrabble or checkers and pet some doggies? Yah, this is the place. THEPLACE. Love me some Richmond Beach Coffee Company !!

Gave them one more try, hoping by now the owners might have hired a barista or someone who knows what they’re doing. No such luck. Same impossibly slow service. Ordered a soy latte and 15 minutes later received some kind of chai latte. Tried to explain the order was wrong, but the owner didn’t understand. There were only two other customers in the place at the time. I’ve been hoping they would get their act together, especially since they’re in my neighborhood, and I’ve gone back every 6 months or so to try them out, but no improvement at all.

This used to be my favorite coffee spot before it was sold to Chinese. Customer service went down below zero as well as food quality and restaurant cleanliness. Everything is dirty, probably because it wasn’t cleaned since previous owners. Besides all this the couple of old Asians that bought the place and work there are incapable of speaking any English language or using bank card machine. They are rude and it takes forever just to pay for the order. Customer service doesn’t exist in their minds, but they did learn about the tip and want that extra money. Previous owner had the best sandwiches around and coffee. Asians cut the coffee quality in half and if they could they would make it with dirt. Sandwich are nasty and there are 80% smaller. I ordered mine grilled but it was microwaved, soggy and nasty. Previous owners new how to do business and it was all good. They had few girls running the place and they did it perfectly. It’s sad to see what happened to once awesome coffee place.

My friends and I stopped here for bubble tea a little while ago. The atmosphere is cozy, but open at the same time. The service was average to lacking. The cashier barely made eye contact. They ran out of ice when we got there, so we waited a while for them to get more. I ordered an iced passionfruit bubble tea. I found it way too sweet. However, my friends enjoyed it, so it could just be my taste preferences. In all, I think I’ll stick to Tapioca Express to get my occcasional bubble tea fix.

Looks like a very nice place, but on my first and only visit I drove up to the drive through and received no greeting or service. I waited for several minutes, then parked and went inside, and saw that the person working was just standing there talking on his phone, so I asked the young lady in front of me if she had been waiting long. She said yes, and then the man looked up, turned his back to us and continued talking, so I left.

Started visiting the shop over a year ago. The coffee and service were so so, meaning that the coffee was water down and almost tasteless. And service was to be desired of. Now they hired a Barrsta and the coffee taste increased 100%. Unfortunately the customer service is pretty low and waiting time is pretty long. And I do not/did not appreciate the flippant attitude of the Barista either. So I took my business elsewhere

I think the Unilocal guide for stars really describes my experiences here: «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» I don’t know what happens to Stumptown coffee there but it doesn’t taste very good. It’s not full and it always seems super weak. I’ve had Stumptown other places and it tastes just fine. The visit that caused me to write this review was stopping in on a nice, sunny day for an iced Americano. I had to wait 15 minutes for it because they only had two people working to make drinks and prepare food. It was really slow. The woman who finally gave me my coffee(I think she’s maybe one of the owners) was non-communicative and rushed. I tried to clarify what she was giving me because it didn’t look like a 20 oz. but she didn’t respond. So, meh. Whatever. Perhaps the fast food of coffee(Starbucks) has spoiled me. There are good things to say about consistency and transparency. It’s also pretty expensive. $ 3 for a triple Americano. Again… perhaps I am spoiled by Starbucks. I will fully own that. Here’s where product quality and experience comes in. If I paid three bucks for a fantastic coffee along with people who at least act like they want you there I wouldn’t mind supporting local and, in fact, would do so more often. Especially this place, since it’s a couple blocks from my house. Finally, I think this shop is trying to be a little too much. Bubble tea, paninis, crepes, coffee, etc. etc. Forget about it. I’ll leave this place to other people. Between the overextending themselves without adequate staff, weak coffee, and the S-L-O-W service, I will not be coming back unless my choices are that or experience a caffeine headache.

This place USED to be amazing. Bottom line: the couple working here do not speak english. Today I went in and ordered an iced coffee and they had no idea what I was talking about. Iced. Coffee. It was a much longer conversation than needed to really break down what an iced coffee was to a coffee shop barista… They also take a VERY, VERY long time to make anything you order, food, coffee, etc. The last crêpe I had was very dry and not very appetizing. Bummer.

Today a windstorm knocked our power out so we drive down to pick up our latte at RBCC. Previously the staff were young kids eager to please and conscientious. Today, those staff were all gone, and the replacements were older and barely able to speak English. My wife asked for a vanilla latte. When they gave it to her, she asked for a straw and they gave her a stir stick. We drove away, and the latte was lukewarm, and no vanilla. We drove back and asked tried to explain the problem … and it was like a Saturday Night Live episode trying to speak to the clerk. Did this place change ownership? Why the change from incredibly good service to incredibly bad? The product goes from dependably good latte to bad? I hate to think those new owners put much money into the purchase, because this place is going to fail. Sad. Having said all of this, buyer beware … RBCC isn’t what it used to be.

Unreal… service is awful, can’t understand any of the staff and my savory filled crêpe was wrapped a sweet crêpe. Gross. My food came nearly 20 minutes after my dining companion’s and I ordered first. Denny’s would’ve been a better choice.

Loved this place for years, even though I moved out of the neighborhood in 06 – I keep coming back. There’s a drive-through, and there’s plenty of parking. They’re both a to-go coffee place and a great place to hang out, which is really nice to see in an independent. They tend to hire cute, friendly kids to work the counters, and they know how to make coffee. They use good beans and chocolate and they have a ton of different choices on the menu. You can sit at window counters, sturdy coffee tables, cutesy princess-y coffee tables, or big overstuffed couches. It’s very homey whether you’re here to warm up, visit, read, or use your laptop. Really can’t say enough good things about this place, and I will always keep coming back, especially with such a fantastic park just around the corner.

The other morning I craved coffee creamed with a hip college radio vibe. Remembering copesetic visits to RBCC, I headed to that home of painted, pierced and personable baristas. I did not find what I was looking for. Like big-boobed Bavarian Köbessen bending down to trade treats for cash from Good Humor trucks, the welcome sight didn’t feel right: behind the counter a middle-aged Asian man minded the grounds, on the customers’ couch an unattended preschooler caught some z’s, through the front door and into the back ducked an off-duty member of the extended family, a flat screen TV reported the news, a stingy paper towel dispenser dispensed three-inch scraps, echoes echoed in the emptiness. A quick Unilocal-check revealed a change of ownership since my last visit.(And, curiously, a recent positive Unilocal review read like one of those disjointed and often funny assembly instructions disfigured by ESL at the hand of some foreign factory worker.) The café au lait was flavorful but I missed old RBCC’s amiable bedside manner. I downed my joe and left.

I used to like this place a lot. It has a quaint restful interior. The people working there are pretty friendly. The coffee is really delicious. My only complaint is the lattes are just sort of warm and not hot. I just had a triple soy grande. The flavor was great but Luke warm coffee is not my thing. I used a percolator at home in part because plastic drip machines don’t get the coffee hot enough.

I am a fan of Richmond Beach Coffee. The building is fun and cute and there are lots of options for drinks, food, and treats including crepes and smoothies. There is plenty of seating and the employees are friendly and not one bit snooty. They also serve Mighty Leaf Tea! Last time I went I had a soy vanilla latte and the Italian Panini. Both were very good although the panini had a lot of bread for my preference. Just take off one piece of bread and problem solved! They offer a wide variety of paninis, sandwiches, and crepes and they have soup and salad and some snacks. They also serve wine and beer. Great place to stop off at on the way to the beach or just because. Good spot for families as well.

So is it bad that I will drive 10 extra miles to come here and get a delicious beautiful latte once in awhile… and maybe a crêpe… and a lemon bar hahah ok ok Yes this place is def taking over my few other favorites in Seattle area. I love the cozy atmosphere inside, comfy furniture and free wifi of course. Lots of outlets to plug into as well if you are«study» on laptop while sipping a latte kinda person:) So I am looking for something neutral to say about this place to balance out the praise and all I can think of… I scraped my car against the pole in their drive through hahah, but thats my own little problem… and yes they have an efficient DRIVETHROUGH! mmm now I want a latte!
