If you are desperate, then you have to take what you can get, right? Wrong!
Due to the elimination of my position, I found myself unemployed for a stretch. Other charities treated me with respect. Other charities followed through with their commitments. This charity needs some reform.
Their employees have treated me as if I was lazying about while on unemployment and refuse to acknowledge that have other appointments. They arrive late for appointments or reschedule them last minute. None of the offers they made to «help» were followed through. They did not fulfill their promises.
Worst was the attitude. It is condescending. I am a professional with an education, skills, and a depleted savings account. I happened upon hard times after a divorce and a layoff. It happens. Yet, even if I was uneducated, English as a second language, I would deserve better than being talked down to! What is going on here?
If you can get help elsewhere, you should. Don’t get into any of their programs. You’ll just be wasting time and gas.
