BT just finished our home remodel project, on time, on budget and superb quality.
Our 1904 Craftsman home on Capitol Hill needed to have the wood floors refinished. When BT came over to take a look at it we talked about what we wanted done. Top of this list was getting the floors refinished & interior repainted. We also talked about having a second shower head in the master bathroom also having both front and rear decks replaced.
BT prepared bid and carefully coordinated timeline with his crew. He also came up with some great options to restore faux wood finishes around the trim work. The total project took 20 days and his crew worked many late nights and most of the weekends.
We decided that it would be best for us if we went on cruise for the first week of construction and then stayed with a friend for the remainder. We felt this was best since all of our floors were to be sanded and we didn’t really want to live in a construction zone. The vacation was great.
Once we got back to Seattle we got a pleasant «things are going great, should have you back home in 1.5 to 2 weeks» text message.
Right on time the project was done. His cleaning crew did a great job and we moved back in. BT pointed out there was a small 3″ section of flooring that had some bubbles in the finish. His flooring guy came back a few days later and in 10 minutes they were taken care of. No hassles.
The shower is simply amazing, floors look great and the decks redone to hold up better in our Seattle weather.
With our small change order that we did before we left on vacation (adding the restoration work on pocket door and molding) the whole project came in on budget.

Steve and his crew did an amazing job fixing a fence that was damaged due to strong rain and winds. His recommendations for replacement areas and thoroughness brought an old fence to life. Great and speedy work, and did it all in one rainy day!
Will definitely contact him again for more work. Highly recommended!

After purchasing a «charming» 100yr old house in Ballard, I found BT Contracting through my real estate agent knowing they all know who does good work and who is reputable.
Steven Beatty definitely proved his knowledge and expertise when it came to finding a solution to a sloping corner of the house. He came up with energy efficient solutions (tankless water heater, insulation in the crawl space, facilitated a furnace upgrade, convert W/​D to gas, etc.) The work was clean, professional and my utitlity bills are almost half of what they were before the remodel. From permits to utility company rebates, Steven knows what it takes and what is available when upgrading and remodeling a crooked but cute farmhouse and beyond in the city!
Kudos to Steve and his contractors. I highly recommend BT Contracting if you are looking for a knowledgable and experienced contractor.
