Tony’s Sushi

sushi is rubbery and Chinese food is so so and very overpriced
To be honest in mastic I’m grateful for any sushi but there’s one by the expressway now so we no longer have to settle for this disgusting fish and rude service

Beware of this place!!!
Especially during their «Half Off Sushi» time/​deal.
Be sure to check your receipt before you pay.
They will purposely overcharge you like they did to us!
When we brought their mistake to their attention the extremely rude waitress rolled her eyes. The boss was worse.
They will compensate by making the taxes higher by charging you the amount before the discount (half off).
Our bill was $ 8.00 because it was half off of $ 16.
The tax is 8.625%.
With a bill that comes out to $ 8 the tax would be .69= $ 8.69
Instead they apply the tax to the Amount before the discount.
The women then tried to imply that we were not capable of math when they were obviously wrong. A bill of $ 8 with a tax of 8.625% would not be $ 1.38.
A bill of $ 16 would have a tax of $ 1.38. When we tried to explain it they pretended they did not understand.
Terrible service! Very rude and sketchy owners.
They even sent their child to give us our bill because they did not want to correct it.
It’s NOT worth it.
Next time we are going to Okeno Sushi.

It is sooo hard to find good chinese food, or takeout thai food that is good.
My only issue, is the price. For lunch, for takeout, everything came to over 40 bucks, and I didn’t order that much food.
The staff could be a little nicer too

A.R. reviewed that this place was hit or miss, so I think I may give it another go.
My first visit was disappointing, though there were some bright spots.
The Seafood Soup was excellent.
The cabbage in the Shrimp Rolls was perfectly cooked, though the shrimp rolls were bland, with a too-​hard, almost crunchy wrapper.
Young Chow friend rice was a little bland, but had some unusual touches like pineapple and mushroom.
The Shrimp with Broccoli was perfectly cooked.
The General Tso had some type of soft batter on it, not crispy at all. It was basically sweet and sour chicken with General Tso’s sauce on it, but with no heat whatsoever.

The steamed dumplings had dough that was overcooked. These came free with the meal.

Somehow, I found myself out in Shirley, NY, running a wedding errand: my 27^th bridal hair trial. A bridal hair guru is out in Shirley, believe it or not, so there I was– and hungry for lunch.
Near the train station is this little place in a strip mall.
Not expecting much, I ordered a couple of rolls and some soup. All was very good, delivered quickly and pleasantly. The entire meal was less than 10bucks. The only real shortcoming was the lack of wine or beer, but it was probably for the best. I still had another bridal makeup trial ahead of me…
