Bought a new, basic 40 gal basic Rheem electric water heater at Home Depot for $ 498.00. Note on the heater said: «call before noon to have it installed today». I called the number and got Delta Mechanical in Fair Oaks. I asked Delta for a price quote and they said the minimum charge woud be $ 625.00 and that they were the cheapest in town. Then I read the reviews for Delta Mechanical and got scared because they were not good. Called Domco Plumbing in Shingle Springs which has good reviews and they gave me a flat price of $ 475.00. They were at my house within 2 hours and finished the job in 4 hours and charged the phone quoted price of $ 475.00. After one week the water heater is still functioning perfectly. Domco did a good job and gave me a good price for 4 hours of hard work, plus they hauled away my very heavy 28 year old heat pump water heater.

I was trying to fix a water faucet on our back deck and found they had soldered the faucet to the pipe inside the wall. When I twisted it expecting it to unscrew, it instead broke the copper pipe in the wall. I cut an access hole but decided I didn’t have the skill or experience to try to use a torch in the wall. I probably would have set the house on fire. I called Domco plumbing in Shingle Springs and they sent a guy named Cole out within an hour or so and it took him only about 45 minutes to put a new faucet on and repair the damage. No fire! Cost was about $ 200 which I felt was very reasonable for the quick response and great repair job. I’ve got to recommend them as a result!

Fast, friendly, reasonably priced. My washing machine hot water valve leaked once the machine and hose were removed in preparation for a household move. I was going to do the job myself but ended up busting the valve (mostly my fault, along with a little bad advice from Home Depot). I got the whole thing torn apart and ready to install the new box, but had some clearance challenges and some soldering concerns, so I decided to call a plumber and found Domco here on Unilocal.He had the new box, valves, etc. in very quickly and at what seemed to me like a good price compared to the time and tears I would have put into finishing it myself. I may have to stick to my day job– If I’d have had him in to just replace the valve internals before my botched repair attempt I would have saved some money and some time.

I can’t comment on their actual work since they didn’t end up fixing the problem, but they were out here for three days trying to find a leak with no success. In the process I gave them permission to remove drywall on the ceiling of the lower floor (the garage). After the third day they told me to leave the drywall off to air it out and locate the leak and to call them when I found it, in the mean time no charge. I was all ready to give them rave reviews for doing all that searching for free, until a week later when the underlayment directly over the holes they left swelled into giant humps. Giant humps the exact size and shape as the holes underneath them… Now I have a $ 1600 floor replacement to deal with in addition to the leak (which I found that week)
They did get here fast, I’ll give them that.

I cant say enough good things about Domco. I have had to call them a couple of times for a busted main water pipe, unfortunately on my side of the meter and a clogged sump pump. Today I woke up to my sump buzzer going off and the dread of an $ 750 expense to have the tank drained and pump repaired. I asked Dom for some help and taking money out of his pocket he said, if you dont mind getting a little dirty, go down and pick up a pump and told me how to make the repair myself. This is good business. Dom will get my business in the future, and I really appreciate the direction.

Called me to let me know they where 15 teen minutes away, in the time period they said from that morning phone conversation, kind and courteous Rob put on the floor protectors over his shoes and in a professional manor fixed the kitchen faucet in a very short time, would highly recommend this company for any plumbing related issues, and I would surly use them again

These guys are awesome. Fast, efficient and affordable. They even came out and checked when I thought there was a pressure problem, but it was really backpressure from my irrigation system. They didn’t even charge me for that. I’ve had them replace the lines to my water heater due to leaking compression fittings and they also replaced my main water valve when it was leaking. They always explain what they’re doing and are very professional.
