My son and I meet his Grandma here almost every time we meet and have never had a bad experience. The food is hot and fresh and the one time they did miss something on our order we were given free desserts. The atmosphere is a little loud but it doesn’t bother us. We will definitely continue to meet here and have a wonderful meal.

Very busy restaurant but they got us seated and the waiter took our order right away. I had French toast stuffed with white chocolate cream cheese and fresh blueberries and red raspberry syrup. This was fabulous. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. The waiter kept the drinks filled and packaged up our leftovers for us. Great experience and great food.

Hubby and I recently had our first Cracker Barrel visit at the Sherman restaurant. After being told over and over how good it was… well it was a let down. It’s pretty much just average quality food that you can make at home without a huge fuss. I had great customer service, the waitress was polite and attentive. But the atmosphere was crowded and visually overwhelming with all that clutter. I felt like I was eating lunch in a rural thrift store. So it was«okay» but not something to write home about.

Poor service, undercooked eggs, ham that was so over cooked it was like jerky. French toast and pancakes, no syrup til they were room temperature at best. Not a good experience. Won’t be back. Yuck.

Called to reserve pies. Was informed they could not do that. Said I would pay for them over the phone. Guess what. They could not do that either. The food is going down hill as is the customer service. Really sad. You can order food to go no problem without payment up front. Being disabled trying to keep from making two trips. Still the answer is no. Should have ordered by the piece. Would forget it but desperate. Grrrr. Last time. Got out there and didn’t have what I was just told they did.

Horrible customer service… had trouble with the manager more than once because of his lack of competence. The second time I ordered my food and went to go pick it up and they had lost the order the look on his face was priceless. Needless to say I left there without my food and went to whataburger where the 18 year old high school student had no problem getting my order right the first time. It could be due to the fact the manager speaks broken English and doesn’t understand half of what you say.

I want to start off by saying the food is great. But the service was not. After a five hour car ride with just me and my son I figured I stop and get something to eat. I usely don’t eat with just me and him and figured a family restaurant would be good to eat at. After a quick seating it took almost 10 minutes to get drinks. Which is the only time I got any. My son spilled his and after I tried to clean it up and looked for my waitress I gave up. Two workers looked at it and kept going. After I told the waitress about the spill she didn’t offer to bring a new drink or refill mine. After I finished my meal I kept looking for her. She would talk to the two tables in front of me and walk by me. I finally had to holler at her for my check. At which point she told me a nice couple paid for my meal. Which was nice but would of been nice to of been told that earlier. I’m not accustomed to be given things and it was nice. I gave the waitress a tip which I do not believe she should of gotten. I’m not a single parent but I now have a understanding of what they endure from restaurants.

Blueberry Pancakes were awesome but the best part was the incredible service Trina provided.

So, I’ve never been to Cracker Barrel until today, and it was the best experience of my life. Don’t know the name of the waiter, but he had 3 stars, and deserved 5. Great service, friendly atmosphere, and I’m a Cracker Barrel fan for life. I also played checkers and rocked on a rocking chair.

Well, we really used to love Cracker Barrel. But this is the fourth stop we’ve made here during our trips. The food has gotten progressively worse! I had«chicken fried chicken», which was some kind of frozen patty thing, with the worst macaroni and cheese. We also got a nice order of rotten fish! Had to order a sirloin in its place. It would have been nice for it to arrive before all the sides were finished. This place sucks! The waitress was working her butt off. Not sure why she was given every table in the place. We will not be back ever!

We enjoyed our trip to this Cracker Barrel for my son’s birthday. Friendly service, drinks stayed full, not overcrowded. My children enjoyed their pancakes, while my husband and I had stuffed strawberry french toast. My husband and I also enjoyed our food, though my husband felt the french toast bread was a little too saturated with egg, and not fluffy enough. A minor flaw for a pretty yummy dessert style dinner. We were able to do a little shopping for a toy during the meal, which helped with our teething baby. They sang happy birthday to my child, and brought him a piece of double fudge Coca-Cola cake. His compliments to the chef, I believe~! I would give it five stars, but they don’t dance, juggle balls, or have those cute paper umbrellas: P

Food is incredible! We went in pretty late but still ordered from the breakfast menu. Food came out within a good reasonable time. Food was delicious and was big portioned for a great price! My kids enjoyed Sharing the 2 pancake stack and it was plenty of leftover pancake. That tells you that they were pretty big. They just loved the little maple syrup bottles! The staff were very friendly. Always smiled and said«hello» to all of us as we shopping in the store and while we dined. We had a waitress that was the sweetest!

Greeted 3 times before seating, and our server was very pleasant and quick. I love the atmosphere here and the gift shop they have. We ate breakfast early and it was great from presentation to taste. Tip: They do offer sugar free syrup

Normally the service and food are both excellent here, tonight however that was not the case. The food was amazing as usual. once we finally got it. I had to go to the kitchen twice to get my water refilled after I finally got them to bring our drinks out. I also had to go to the kitchen to ask them to bring our food out. I’m not impressed and hopefully anyone else who eats here doesn’t have a similar experience.

Awesome Food! My Mom and I had a nice dinner. Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Tenders were really good! The fried okra was outstanding along with the Apple dessert topped with vanilla ice cream! Also, the waitress was extremely nice and made a great recommendation on the dessert!

Wife and I had the Chicken Fried Chicken and had to send it back… huge freezer burn taste. Kernel corn was soggy and full of water. Asked to have original meal replaced with chicken and dumplings. That was a little better but hard to eat without silverware. Asked for silverware and bread twice but no luck. Even the tea was less than average.

The Country Store deserves more stars and has a ton of cute items for kids as well as adults. About the dining experience — I’ve never met a Cracker Barrel that I’d recommend avoiding — until now. Our chicken fried chicken reminded me of a Swansons frozen dinner, right down to the freezer burn taste. Sides were cold. I posted a pic of the tomato & cucumber«salad» to give an idea of the effort that is put into the dishes here. We asked for silverware 2 times and never got it. The waitress serving the table next to us tried to help and ended up being a better manager than the one who checked on us as well as a better waitress than ours. The end result however, was still bad food & poor service for the full price. Should have checked the bathroom out before eating. If I had, I would’ve known to lower my expectations of this establishment. Note to managers: If you can’t keep a stocked, clean bathroom then you probably aren’t running the kitchen well either.

Would have given it 5 stars but they run out of ingredients(eg potatoes) later in the day which is when I get there for breakfast on holidays. Overall good food and great ambience for a country store. Prices are reasonable even compared to a greasy Denny’s and their quality much better !

Walked on with my three kids and sat there for 8 – 10 minutes and never did a server ever approach our table. Walked smooth out never to return. Pathetic.

We stopped here for brunch on a late Sunday morning. The place was PACKED but we didn’t have a wait for a table of 4. Breakfast is served all day, and lunch food starts at 10:30. Our food was decent and decently priced. I ordered a grilled chicken BLT sandwich with fried okra, and other members of our party ordered the multigrain french toast, and other breakfast foods, which they all enjoyed(especially the grits). The thing that really made the difference to me was the excellent quality of service. Everyone who greeted us, served us, refilled our coffee, etc, was extremely polite and friendly. It definitely brought out the«southern charm» feel the place was going for. The main thing that turned me off about this restaurant was that when you walk in, it’s a little store. You have to go to the back of the store to the hostess stand, and when you’re done eating you come back out to pay for your meal in the store. The restrooms are also located here too. It probably isn’t a big deal to anyone else who comes in here, but it was extremely crowded, and I really disliked trying to slowly make my way through the crowded walkways to get anywhere. Overall, we had a nice brunch experience. I’ll probably never be back through town, but if I did, I’d likely stop here again.
