The food is really good and the shakes are yummy, if you do not mind getting them after you have finished your meal, the plates have been taken, and waited a little bit longer. Our server was nonexistence. First, we had to wait a bit before we placed our order, that happens and after we did, we did not get our waters until we were at the 1⁄3 to mid-point of eating our meals, and our server didn’t came back until she took the last plate and said the shakes are on the way. We had to change our shakes for take-away, we waited, and then we finally got them. Now, I would have understood if place was crowded, but there were plenty of empty seats. I would have understood if they said the drive-thru had a lot of shake orders and they are backed-up, that happens, but I didn’t see more then two cars in the drive-thru. I would have understood if they said, the machine went down. Communication is key and I would have understood. Seriously, the server was a ghost, and I will not be coming back. There are plenty of choices out there.

The food is amazingly greasy. But their service is definitely on the worse side, especially the drive thru. It always takes me about 20 minutes drive away from the windows. I hope this changes because they definitely have potential.

I’ve visited a few times at different times of the day and night. The food is mediocre but not bad. The wait for the food is on the longer side but tolerable. The customer service is friendly and consistent. Frankly I come here because of the 24 hour convenience and coupons to save money. It’s good value.

The server Shawn was very nice and attentive. Double cheese burger was good. Didn’t like the fries. They sat us at a booth that had salt all over the table and seat.

This location consistently gets orders wrong, food comes out very cold, and staff is rude. I have been there the past two days, and I order a #6 and they add it as a #16… Make sure your order is correct before proceeding, and that doesn’t even mean they’ll get it correct. I called to just let the manager know about the cold fries, and the gal put the phone on the counter and left it there. I called headquarters instead… This is an awful location, go anywhere else. Headquarters is very nice, apologetic and kind… But unfortunately that doesn’t speak for this location.

I’m going to preface this by saying that I really like Steak n’Shake usually. It was a treat growing up, and it’s a treat now. That said, this place was terrible. The service was awful. Our waitress forgot to put in our order. Like actually forgot, and, after about 40 minutes of waiting when we were about to leave because we hadn’t seen her at all, she came and told us she forgot. She finally brought us our shake and told us that the shake was comped. Well we’d given up at this point since they were busy and it looked like it’d be another 40 or so minutes. When she brought the to-go cup for our shake she said that the manager was going to comp our dinner and it’d be 5 minutes. She said that the manager was working on it «right now». Yeah right. Our food was stone cold when we got it and it looked a mess. Just a mess, and cold. If you’re going to make people wait that long for fast food, at least make sure it’s worth it. Oh, and the manager NEVER came to apologize for anything. They were busy, sure, but a member of your staff forgot to put in an order, you’re comping our meal, and you don’t have the professional courtesy to come over and vouch for yourself? I guess we know now why everything in that place was a disorganized mess.

This place has gone downhill since it opened. Firstly, the place was not that clean. The tables were somewhat acceptable, the bathrooms didn’t look like they had been cleaned recently. They said the food would take 25 minutes. I really don’t understand why, as horrible as it was. The burger I ordered was dry, fries old tasting, and service was slow. I won’t be going back.

I’m addicted the Steak ‘n Shake right now. I’ll admit it. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the price(many meals are just $ 4) cannot be beat by any other chain. I particularly like the chicken and onion rings. The chicken frankly is better than the Chic-fil-a just down the street. The burgers are pretty good too. The fries, while cooked perfectly and good, are tiny and disappointing. If they had larger fries or waffle fries, they would be perfect. You can tell they use really clean oil in their fryers too. But seriously, upgrade to the onion rings for an extra 50 cents. The only seriously disappointing thing about this place is that they are very slow. I’m not sure I would actually call this place ‘fast food’. There is always a line at the drive through, and it can take 10 minutes from getting into the parking lot, to getting food. Going inside to order for take out is a similar experience, it just takes a while for them to make the food. That being said, it is always worth the wait. The food is always made fresh.

The indoor service is good, but the drive through was terrible. I sat in line for 45 minutes and when I finally received my order it was a haphazard mess. All of it was overcooked… burnt, the bread and fries were stale and everything looked like they sprayed it with sauce from 10 feet away and only managed to hit half the sandwich…$ 30 on fast food that the family couldn’t eat.

I came in tonight craving a burger and onion rings I haven’t been here for a while. I had a really wonderful waitress and she catered to my every need I ordered a mint chocolate chip shake and a double garlic steak burger with portabella mushrooms and onion rings when My milkshake came out it was so sick I couldn’t even suck it through the straw. My cheeks are going to implode so I talk to the waitress about that and she brought it to the kitchen and they fixed it for me. My food came out and it was very delicious to the last bite something was mysteriously wrong with the mushrooms it kinda tasted funky I went to talk to the manager we figured out what was wrong and that issue was resolved. There are a few new employees and Hair that are being trained to all the guidelines and procedures Stephanie the manager took care of my bill so I don’t have to worry about any of the inconvenience that this has caused me. I will continue to come here as I have for many years because Steak and Shake is just absolutely delicious when they’re 100% on the ball. ‚;-)

I love Steak n Shake. I go to them in every city I travel to. I almost didn’t go to this one because of the low rating, but decided to try it out anyways. The owner/manager must be wising up to the bad reviews because they gave great service and the place was clean. My food came out with in 5 minutes. Staff came by to ask me if I needed anything else. My order was correct. The food was good. I’ll be going there again while I’m in Denver.

I have been wanting to try Steak ‘n Shake and got some coupons in the mail so I thought why not. Love this place! The staff was very friendly. I was getting my order to go and had about a 10 minute wait which wasn’t bad. I sat at the counter and played on my phone. The best part – the food. The steakburgers my fiancé and I got were SO good. I got the jalapeño crunch; sweetie got the double bacon ‘n cheese. The fries are kinda like McDonald’s fries which I happen to like. Next time we’re getting shakes!

I just went here about an hour ago and the food I was given through the drive through, a number 21 order number 717 at 10pm. The food I was given was freezing and the cheese in my «melt» was literally just cheeses thrown onto bread. I called and the employee was nice but said the manager was on the phone with someone else and would call me back very soon and they would, «take care of it». Well almost and hour later no one called me back and no one took care of it :/ I’m sure they are a good place but this was my first visit so idk it was honestly probably my last as well.

Oye Vey. I hate giving out one star reviews. Absolutely hate doing it… but in the case of good olé Steak N Shake… it needs to be done. First off, I heart steak n shake. I went to college in St. Louis and they are all over the place, so when Steak N Shake started popping up in the Denver area, I was so excited! Then we got a huge sheet of coupons in the mail and I was even more stoked to get there and get my absolute favorite american melt and cheese fries with a side by side shake. My excitement soon faded after arriving at this was a Friday night and they were pretty busy. First complaint: There is very little seating available to customers who are waiting for a table. There is one bench which can hold three(maybe four) people. We stood around, with a car seat no less, being bumped into by servers walking by and shuffling around to make room for more people coming in to wait. Second: There was only two of us(and baby), so we told the hostess that we wouldn’t mind sitting at a two top and holding the baby(there was actually a two top open). She said ok, but then never seated us. A few minutes later, a couple of teenage guys come in and she seats them immediately at the table we just said we would be willing to take. We were dumbfounded. Third: A family of four came in and were seated immediately. Again, we are confused. At this point, my brother approaches the hostess and asks if perhaps she has forgotten us and wondering why others who came in after us were seated before us(it had been about 25 minutes by now). She said«it’s ok, don’t worry about it». Huh? Finally, we are seated a a two top in a back corner… and our server has no idea we are there. I can;t really blame her, it was hard to see our table from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant. So, another ten minutes goes by… and finally our server sees us and apologizes profusely. Meanwhile, the aforementioned teenagers are already paying for their meal and that family of four was receiving their food. Hungry + ignored makes for some very frustrated people. My food was horrible. Not at all what I remember Steak N Shake being like in my college days. My bread was cold and not grilled like it’s supposed to be. I ended up trashing most of it. I did speak to the manager about these issues and he was extremely apologetic. Oh, one last thing for any moms and dads of babies out there… they DONOT have a changing station. I had to set up shop with the diaper changing pad on the floor of one of the stalls in the extremely dirty bathroom that was also out of toilet paper.

The food was super good so was the shakes The fries need to be upgraded to a bigger not so kids mealish size. The Nutella shake was amazing. With coupons I was able to get double cheeseburgers shakes fries and onion rings without dropping an arm and a leg. So it’s super affordable Customer service was good I’m coming back again

Went on a Friday at 7pm, practically no wait! Very friendly and welcoming host and server, clean table! Ordered chicken fingers and fries. Chicken fingers were good, your standard crunchy, juicy diner fare. Surprisingly small portion size– 3 chicken fingers to a $ 4 order. Fries were delicious and crispy. Salted them myself, because they didn’t taste salted, but still loved ‘em! Also ordered the classic Chocolate Shake, which was shockingly disappointing! I’m a big fan of chocolate shakes and this one was overly sweet and not worth your time/calories. Before I went, I read lots of Unilocal reviews begging me to turn around and drive to Freddy’s, and because of the small portions and poorly executed shake, I’m gonna have to agree with them. I haven’t tried Freddy’s but it’s probably better than this!

Again,… why didn’t I consult Unilocal sooner!!! It’s been years since I’ve been to S&S …and now I know why… But this past Saturday, the kids(and I) were in the mood for a shake… and happened to be driving by… The first drive through waiter got flustered, and was replaced… the second waiter forgot the ketchup that I specifically requested… oh well… the burgers were tasteless, and so were the fries… The shakes were good, however. I won’t be eating there again, but may come back for a shake at some point.

Been wanting to try this place out for a while. We don’t live that close yet we get coupon flyers in the mail all the time, guess Steak ‘n Shake wants us to come try them badly too! :-) I like how retro and new the place feels at the same time, a great family setting. Your mood is lifted as soon as you walk in. Beware of the flimsy tables though, they look A LOT sturdier than they actually are. We had a pretty good sample of the fixings: — Frisco Patty Melt with fries(loved the famous sauce and the McD-like fries, but they could’ve used better bread than supermarket sandwich toasts…) — Wisconsin Buttery Burger with«upgraded» fries(on the menu picture, these«fancy» fries take on an orange hue and so I thought they were sweet potato fries! Turned out they were just regular fries sprinkled with an orange seasoning that’s widely available at each table, don’t fall for it like me! The butter topped burger was pretty good, hubby thought it was a little too greasy… I’ll have to compare it with the Jack in the Box new butter burger!) — the new Red Velvet Cake shake is awfully pink. I would’ve preferred a darker red color. It tastes OK but one shouldn’t hold the hope that it won’t taste artificial ’cause it does. It is HUGE though. Will I be back again? I’m not sure, might have to try out Freddy’s and have a good comparison before deciding…
