Vic’s Liquor

We’ve been here a few times, and we love this place! It doesn’t have a crazy selection of wines and liquors, but it has just the right amount.
However, what really makes this place stand out is the owner. He is incredibly helpful about recommendations. Essentially, you tell him what kind of alcohol you want to drink, and he’ll find you the best deal.
I love «mom and pop» shops, and this place fits that bill. And, this place perfectly exemplifies why. You get better service and exactly what you need, and you get to support a local, rather than a CEO’s bonus.
All in all, after coming here multiple times, I very much still recommend this place.

This cute little liquor store is found at the back of a parking lot off of Research Forest. When you get to Six Pines — Turn opposite of the Raising Canes.
Vic is extremely friendly and professional (everyone else I have met working there has been the same). He greets each customer individually and remembers their preferences! I have requested items of limited numbers to be held under my name for the day and he, knowing that I am true to my word and show up as soon as I am off work, has the specific beverage waiting for me already boxed up :) I am sure that Vic would work to accommodate any special requests his customers ask for.
The beer selection is comparable to the market street HEB and the Spec’s of the Woodlands. I drive over to Vic’s because the store has been neat and tidy and well stocked every time I have visited — and the service is outstanding. I have seen all of the workers in the store step out from behind the counter to answer questions and make suggestions.

– Karbach: Weekend Warrior, Hopadillo, Love Street, Mother in Lager (seasonal), Yule Shoot Your Eye Out (seasonal)
– Victory: Golden Monkey
– Sierra Nevada: Torpedo, Pale Ale, Celebration (seasonal)
– Founders: All day IPA, Dirty Bastard
– Left Hand: Milk Stout Nitro

Vic is the nicest guy ever and really cares about helping me look up drink mixes and makes sure I get the right product. He always asks me how I’m doing and lets me take the empty boxes for moving days.
