This hotel is the worst option within 500 miles of this location. Below are the reason why you should avoid this hotel at all costs: — BUGS in the room!!! — Tvs only show certain channels clearly. — internet is horrible unless you have a room by the lobby. — the lobby is nauseating. — the Indian lady who owns/manages the hotel has no idea what customer service is and is just down right weird. — the red lobster in walking distance must use the same recruiter for their hiring. — BUGSINTHEROOM!!! — bathrooms are disgusting and have had many terrible repairs done.(Bugs in here as well) Please, do not stay here! Sleep in your car if you have to. Hell, sleep outside.

I was not shocked to see a previous review refer to Serena as a thief. I stayed here at Comfort Suites(same address as Clarion, it appears) one night in October 2014… well, I will just copy and paste my Trip Advisor review, as there is so much I can say about how I have been dismissed by this hotel. It is not only unacceptable business practices, but a crime. I stayed here for one night in October 2014(yes, it’s been a while) and I was charged for a «no-show» night on my credit card once I already had returned home. At no point was I given a «no-show» receipt or bill— not upon my arrival at the front desk or when I checked out(when they slipped my bill underneath the door). This was clearly an error on the part of the hotel. The reservation was made over the phone because it was a special rate for the wedding block and I was given a confirmation number, but denied a confirmation email(she said they didn’t do emails, but I could get a number.) What good is a number if you record the reservation incorrectly? I called immediately once the charge had posted to my credit card to have the charge removed and the manager said she would call me back. When she did, she said her records showed I booked on a Wednesday(she later said her«records» showed me staying three nights, so I was lucky to be only charged for one«no-show» night). Let me be clear, I am an attorney and triple-checked my reservation over the phone. I already booked my plane ticket for one night(Saturday), etc. I made plans in writing with a friend and she was notified immediately in writing when I made the reservation and I confirmed the day again. Further, my reservation was under a wedding block. Again, impossible to be confused for another Wednesday in October. Additionally, this«no-show» error happened to other wedding guests(the front desk clerk said at least five others in the wedding block) and they all received a refund immediately. When I asked the manager if she could investigate my claim with the front desk clerk or the lady who took my reservation she immediately and defensively replied that both individuals did not work there anymore(this was not but a few days or a week after I stayed.) Now, the management does not return my calls or emails. In fact, the manager does not even accept my calls any more. This hotel literally stole from me and the manager seems to think this is an OK practice. I will not go away and I would like to warn others to check their credit card statements if you stay here. This is a locally owned hotel and there is no reprieve from Choice Hotels International(or so they have told me twice.) Til this day, this charge looms over this wedding— even the bride asks about it constantly and my answer is the same—«They will not return my calls.» It took me this long to take to social media as a way to feel heard— think about spending your money somewhere else as opposed to giving it willingly to thieves.

This is by far the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Besides the fact that it is completely run down, the manager(Serena) is a crook, not to mention downright rude. I was staying with a group and was not supposed to be charged for the stay, lo and behold, I now have charges over $ 400 which she refuses to deal with. She also can’t provide a receipt for the charges. hmmm Does this sound legal to anyone? I am attempting to work with corporate about this, but I will never stay at a Clarion again, and will definitely NEVER stay at this location again. One star is way too generous for this hotel.

First this place has some really great rates, they serve breakfast daily mostly eggs and sausage and waffles. Each day they have free lemonade. What really got us to stay here was the FREE dinners T, W & T with beer and wine… not bad when on a business budget. I read reviews from this hotel on other site and they mention Oscar at the front desk was awesome… Well He is the one that make the stay all worth it. Such a nice guy and even helped us move our room to a friend that stayed one night. I recommend talking with Oscar when you arrive … Now for the bad reviews. at my time of stay the 1st floor and office area along with the hall ways was way to hot. either their AC was out or they was try to save $$. once in the room our shower plug was messed up but I made it work. The ice machine on 2nd floor was out. but other than that I’m happy plus being in a good location with. Also the Wifi is not that great unless you get a room near the antenna.
