Love love love orange peel! I come here a lot and always encourage family and friends to come too. The breakfast is always serviced fast and hot, restaurant is clean, and service is great! There is not one thing I can ask to be different. I love their hash browns, omelettes, and lunch menu. If you’re looking for a home cooked breakfast to fill you up orange peel is the place to go.

This is the very best place in the area for breakfast or brunch. If you enjoy a great omelette this is the perfect place for you. There are so many options on the menu and even more to customize your omelette to your liking. The blueberry pancakes are also a crowd pleaser. You cannot go wrong visiting this place. While there might be an imposing line at the door waiting for a seat don’t be discouraged the line moves quickly and it is definitely worth the wait.

I used to go to Orange Peel when it was at its previous location in Sterling Heights, and I’ve been to this location a few times. Stopped here for breakfast with the parents since it’s one of their favorites. The seating was a problem at both locations, so I just deal with it. It would be nice if they had a larger vestibule, but hey — it wasn’t cold outside. Service is always friendly, if not always super-attentive. I get it, they’re busy, you have to try and get their attention for a refill. What you’re here for is the food. I think their prices are a little higher than they should be for what you get. What I got this day was an omelet. I decided to go with the three egg so I wouldn’t have to have lunch. The portion was generous, that’s for sure, although I think most of the filling was onion and potato, not so much sausage. My big issue was that the thing was cooked within an inch of its life — upon folding it back open, you could see how brown the exterior was. Not burned, mind you, but really golden brown all over. Maybe some people like their omelets this way(I’m not sure why, because it makes them very dry), but I don’t. I should have probably sent it back and had it remade, but I try to not do that unless something is really screwed up. I’m not sure why places feel the need to cook the hell out of their eggs. There are very few places that serve them just right, this is not one of them. So Orange Peel is only OK, it wouldn’t be my first choice. I expect better food for these prices.

Read a couple of the reviews. Obviously seating is a problem because if you combine GREAT breakfast food with a small restaurant, there will be waits. If you like your fried potatoes or whatever you had crispier than normal, you have to request that when you order. Some people complain about the dumbest stuff. Ive been coming here for years and EVERYTIME i go the food is excellent. The staff is great too. The only reason i didnt rate 5⁄5 stars is because of the wait which happens often. If you live in Macomb County and haven’t tried orange peel then you haven’t had a real breakfast.

Breakfast is perfect! For $ 8 you already get the big breakfast. Ham, sausage and bacon is very good. Also, the omelette is very good! One of my favorite breakfast place.

Orange Peel offers an awesome weekday breakfast menu! Prices are super reasonable and the portions are HUGE! The waitstaff is great and the atmosphere is warm. Quick service and very accommodating to special requests. With their early hours and great food, Orange Peel is THE place to go for your weekday breakfast!

I love this place! I would recommend it to anyone! When my parents come from FL their request is always to go to The Orange Peel. We have only ever been for breakfast but I can honestly say I have never found a place I love more in the area. We have tried several breakfast places but the Orange Peel is our favorite! I love the omelettes!

Best breakfast in macomb county. The omelettes are to die for. I always order the feta and gyro meat omelette. The breakfast bowls are also delicious. I love the combinations and the prices are pretty reasonable. I always come once a week, my only complaint is the lack of seating but its worth the wait.

Great!!! A couple of improvements would be fab. You have fried chicken and you have waffles. Please put chicken and waffles on the brunch menu. Also maybe get a bistro license and serve mimosa’s. Or maybe a bring your own bottle option. Yummmmmm

There is nothing fresh, original, or home made about this place. They don’t have fresh squeezed orange juice and their french toast and regular toast are from cheap loaves. They replace quality with quantity. The Pantry and Pancake House are 10x better. However, they are more expensive — for a reason. This place is also really small with no waiting area and when they cook fish it stinks in there. If you are looking for a okay breakfast at a good price then maybe this is the place for you. However, if you are looking for a quality breakfast this isn’t the place for you.

I went here for brunch yesterday with my boyfriend, the food was very good. Pros: –I ordered the potato pancakes with ham, both were great. Big portions too for what you get. –Waitstaff was friendly –The restaurant is small but cozy, the booth we sat in was comfortable. –I took a bite of my bf’s omelette and also his toast, and both were also good. Cons: –You seat yourself, which isn’t really said but okay … we kind of stood around waiting for a booth to be cleaned off. I’ve heard sometimes it has crazy waits though so I was glad we didn’t have one.(later they make people wait in their«vestibule,» which is really just the place where you walk in, before you walk in to the main dining room. Tiny and cold! –A little pricey for brunch, not overly so … I think mine was about $ 10 but without the ham would have been $ 6.95 or $ 7.95, which isn’t bad. I’d come here again if in the area.

I was hoping for a great breakfast based on the reviews, but it was just… ok. We were there pretty early on a Saturday, so seating wasn’t a problem, but I have seen the line out the door on other occasions we’ve tried to dine here. Upon sitting down the waitress was promptly at our table to take our drink order. We ordered corned beef hash, 1 cup of coffee, and a breakfast special of 1 egg, 2 pieces of toast, and fried potatoes. My egg was done well, the toast was well buttered, but didn’t taste at all like rye, and I would have preferred more crisp to my potatoes. My friend’s corned beef hash lacked a bit of flavor and was just ok. All in all I thought the food was average, and I thought the price was a bit high for what it was. I’d rather go to some of the other local places instead.

They SAY the omelettes are made from 3 eggs, but when that sucker hits your plate, you’ll swear it was at least a dozen eggs. The portions are huuuuge. the half omelette(which they say is 2 eggs) is more than enough for one person. Luckily, the taste is also good. It’s a small place and, on the weekends, there always seems to be a wait, but the service is fast and friendly. These days I do breakfast out by myself, so I usually grab a spot at the counter and, minutes later, I have a solid breakfast.

First issue: if you’re going for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning, you’re going to have to wait. I can accept that if the food is worth the wait. The problem with the waiting at Orange Peel is that there is no one taking names or organizing the«waiting process». You get there, wait in line, and then you have to watch for a table to become available and go to it by yourself. There is not even anyone seating patrons. Second issue: the food is really not worth the wait. My scrambled eggs were a little runny(it’s pretty difficult to screw up scrambled eggs). The rest of the breakfast was about on par with breakfast you could get at any number of other restaurants in the area.

Went for take-out. As other reviewers mention, this place is quite small… so it must fill up rather quickly. At around noon, on a weekday, it was ¾’s full… so no waiting if I wanted to sit down. I had called ahead for a Greek salad and a cup of Potato soup. The food was ready at the kitchen window, so was packed up quickly while I paid and I was on my way. The salad was large and full of veggies(lots of beets! Yum!) Next time I would order a Mini salad, this was way to big for me to finish. The soup was very, very good! Tasted homemade… not the usual too thick soup that you generally get at a restaurant. It had lots of ham and veggies other than potatoes. I will definitely order it again next time.

The food, portions and atmosphere are GREAT! We arrived in time to be seating immediately on a Saturday morning however Shortly after there was a line out the door until we left! That being said there are a few things that they should try to work on. When we ordered our drinks we got Coffee and water. A bowl of creamer sitting on the table ALL of them had expired in May — it’s July now! The cream separated in both our coffee and when I asked the waitress to get us new coffee and creamer the new creamer were ALL expired in May. The third time we asked someone they went in the back got a new box and brought us creamer that expired in three days. It still separated in our coffee but we just said whatever and drank it anyway. They were very apologetic, and it’s not that big of a deal but just watch for it. Also I didn’t get a water refill for about thirty minutes, but at least I did get one. The food was again very quick, tasty, and delicious!!! I would return again!

Okay… my 1st visit… was a 2, it truly was, and I will not rehash it today, as its a new week & new month! We walked in for our 2nd visit on 2−18−13& were promptly greeted & seated by Candace. Ever meet that one in a million server, who knows the menu, knows the business & truly cares for your visit & business, well meet Candace 5 Stars for her! We ordered one of the $ 5.50 Mini omelet, American fries & toast specials, and Candace gladly substituted the toast for hotcakes. [ Love places that substitute ] My bride ordered a Mushroom & Swiss, and this omelet was anything but mini as she took ½ home. I ordered the gyro meat & feta mini, which was prepared perfectly. I usually do Not order coffee out as I’m not a connoisseur & $ 2 at most places seems steep, BUT Candace strongly pushed the ‘Superior Coffee” which was in fact SUPERIOR! So a nice filling breakfast, with leftovers & coffee for 2 $ 14
