First off, this is now called The Diner. I had lunch here today for the first time since new owners took over — I had been here a few times quite awhile back when it was Shedd Café. Friendly and attentive service. Their fries are fantastic — fresh cut and rather thick. My friend had the open-faced roast beef sandwich which had mashed potatoes and gravy and she said it was great. They have a big menu and I posted updated pics of the menu here. You can also check them out on Facebook: .

Great little place with an amazing owner. She waited on us and owned the place. The basket of cheese sticks and mushrooms was amazing! Best beer battered onion rings I’ve ever had! Everything looked and tasted homemade!

Places like this are rare in this area. Friendly atmosphere, extremely low prices, great food, and in a nice little roadside location. They even have an old RC Cola sign in their outdoor dining area. Worth the drive from Corvallis!

I love, love, love the food here. I’ve never had anything bad. The Hawaiian burger is delicious and their fries are to die for. They’re home made. The portions are great, the prices are great and the service is great. The only drawback is size. Sometimes you have to wait for a table. I’m so glad they’re here.

Cheese burger was great on a homemade bun. Quick service. Reasonable prices. Friendly people. My friend said her meatloaf sandwich was very good. Worth the stop.

Recently reopened! Amazing, good priced breakfasts and lunches with large portions and local ingredients. I would skip the hashbrowns and go for the delicious fresh country potatoes instead. The staff are all great and very accommodating. My personal fav is the sausage parmesan omelette.

Great local spot for farmers to hang out and grab lunch. Love the sandwiches! They do a really nice BLT. Only open for a few hours at lunch. 11 – 2 I believe.

First off, I had never even heard of the town of Shedd and I’ve lived in Oregon my whole life. This little place seems like a nice spot for the 4 locals that live here. I had the special, and that day it was some sort of mexican casserole… it consisted mostly of tots, beef, and cheese. At least it was edible, and if I had gone on a different day, I may have enjoyed it more. Not saying it’s a bad place, but kind of what you should expect in a town only 3 blocks long.

Once a month the Shedd Café has a reservations only diner. The one tonight was chicken and dumplings. Appetizers, salad, main course and dessert. The food was good and potions large! Visit their website for dates and menu, that’s how reservations are made also. Great value!

Owned by farmers for farmers. Christie is friendly. Clients local. Black forest ham, cheddar, and thin sliced apples… killer good. Open for lunch only 11 – 2. Get there early or risk them running out of the specials.
