The Acuity Flag is the tallest flag pole in the world holding a U.S. flag. 100 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty! The pole is 400 feet tall and holds a flag that is 60×120 feet.(7,200 sq feet = to the width of a football field). There are 2 different flags that fly, one is 220 lbs(normal conditions) and the other is 350 lbs. flying during harsher weather. Base of pole is 11 feet in diameter and weighs 420,000 pounds! The location is right alongside I-43 and you can see it coming from all directions. The original flag actually fell over a few years ago during some bad weather because the foundation was not strong or large enough. This new one is even bigger and obliviously stronger! The flag is located on the grounds of Acuity Insurance, which has been very charitable to many non-profit organizations, along with Veteran services.
