Cover Nails

The trick to here is knowing who does the best pedicures, who does the full sets, who does the best manicures and who does the best eyebrows! Everyone here has their own niche (if that’s how u even spell that)

I love going to Cover Nails! Everyone is very nice, they are alway getting in new colors, they’re very professional, and will do exactly what you want done. I’ve been going to this shop since before Richard and Michelle took it over, which has been almost 17 years! I really like the way Tom does my nails. I’ve tried other places but have always been disappointed and go back to Cover Nails. I live 30 miles from them but the drive is worth it!

I have been in this salon over 10 years. I still love this place. So friendly, good service and good price. I love Michelle and Richard. They are so professional! I highly recommend coming to cover nails!

I was just there on Friday, July 3^rd. The place was really dirty, I was afraid to sit on the furniture. The guy who did my manicure/​pedicure was really nice and did a good job on my heels but the painting of my nails is a mess and is already falling off. He really didn’t much of a manicure, he just barely shaped the nails (not even, I had to fix them myself so they looked straight) and painted the nails (some of the nails aren’t covered to the edge) and again the polish is falling off. I tried to talk to him about it but I wasn’t getting anywhere so I thanked him and left. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I use to go here from age 17 – 23 and finally had to stop. I’m now 26. I loved Michelle for my nails and eyebrows there. However, it wasn’t worth going into that environment or contributing to their income due to several things. I went within the last month or so just as a quick regular manicure fix as I was in the area. Back then the A/​C was rarely on and when it’s hot outside and packed inside you are uncomfortable and the fumes are worse. Every time I went in there 98% of them are on their phone WHILE doing a service on someone! How is that even close to being professional??? I’m not paying you to chat with your friend! Getting up mid stroke of putting nail polish on my toe to get your phone is horrible!!! I’ve gone to school for nails and knew right then my color would not be solid and smooth looking. I manage a salon and we have to lock our phones in a locker to avoid this from happening. Clients are PAYING hard earned money to be there. No care in the world from the manager as yes I complained back then. My recent experience was no different. In fact it was worse. Now people just eat upfront and at their «sanitary» station? As a kid I didn’t mind but as I became an adult it started to. I walked out before the lady even sat me down because of what I saw when I walked in.

First off, I have been coming here for over ten years! I’m a more than a regular you can say!
Richard and Michelle own Cover Nails and have for almost as long as I have been coming here. Richard and Michelle have been doing my acrylic nails. When I started coming here, I bit my nails so bad they bled. Richard has done my nails without judgement and was actually encouraging me to keep getting the nails so that one day I would have beautiful nails and long nail beds. During the past, I have tried other nail salons but no one could get my nails to stay on. It was just a waste. I kept coming to Richard even tho I would come in for repairs almost daily. I hung in with the process and so has he! My nails now are completely different; they are long and beautiful. I rarely have one that comes off anymore and can go 3 – 4 weeks in between fills!
Nancy and Michelle both wax my eyebrows. They are excellent and make the process go fast and smoothly.
Nancy and Bill do my pedicures. Bill is the BEST! I’m so happy he is back. He is just brilliant in every way! him!
I highly recommend coming to Cover Nails! I wouldn’t trust anyone else in town to do my nails. Richard and Michelle own all but one salon in Shakopee! Stop on by Cover Nails and get the experience that spawned their empire! Lots of love for them both! Thank you!
