The staff was friendly and I did get seen pretty quick but beware if you don’t have insurance. I received two injections and they charged me $ 67.50 for the needles. That’s taking advantage of people that pay out of pocket. I can understand why medical ins is so high, I bet they bill insurance even more.

Three months ago, I brought my wife here because of a fever and abdominal pain. They performed a urine analysis and concluded it was «probably a UTI» and prescribed some antibiotics. My wife was adamant with the Dr. it didn’t feel like any UTI she’s ever had. The doctor insisted. Within hours, we are in the emergency room and they are doing emergency surgery. We paid some the day of the visit, my insurance picks up a bulk of it and we are still billed $ 81 dollars for a complete misdiagnosis. They didn’t even investigate any other options although my wife was certain that wasn’t correct. I called and left two messages, it took a week to hear anything back. I went back to the location but no one there can discuss billing and I was directed to speak with the same person who took a week to call me back. This time I plead with her to have the director call me back. Month+ later, nothing. I just went back to the location to just get this place out of my life and pay the remaining amount since no one will call back BUT… They don’t take checks at the location. «Checks must be mailed in» I could have used my card but the check is written. If you must go to an urgent care facility, DO NOT GO HERE! The fact they wouldn’t entertain discounting the visit after a COMPLETE misdiagnosis, the Dr.‘s lack of listening to my wife and they will not contact you no matter how much you ask, they’ll just keep sending you a bill. f they tell you to call 865−428−2773 and speak with Tiffany, don’t expect her to care, listen, or accomplish anything. Well Key, by a huge margin is the least caring, care facility I’ve ever experienced. There are several other places in the area.

My daughter became ill while on vacation. They advertise that you can make an appointment online and go to the front of the line. I made an appointment for 2pm and arrived 15 minutes early like requested. We were not seen until after 3pm. Everyone who was in the waiting room before us was seen before us even though they were walk-​ins. They even started taking people who came in after us. It was very frustrating.

My husband and I were desperate to get in to see our long term family physician in Seymour on Mon. morning, Feb. 16, 2015, but we were told they would be closing soon due to the impending ice storm. I had been very sick since late Sat, afternoon with fevere of 102*, chills, sweats, severe and very painful coughing, headache and dizziness. My husband had come home a few days earlier with some of the same symptoms and coughed so much and hard on Sat. that we thought he may have cracked a rib, due the severity of his pain. We called a few clinics and offices in Seymour area to no avail, and finally reached out to Smoky Mountain Urgent Care. They told us to come right in. The front desk personel were friendly and quickly took our personal and insurance informance. All of the nursing staff, x-​ray tech., nurse practitioner and Dr. Robin Huskey were very caring and took the time to ask questions, run tests and come back with a diagnosis of cracked rib for my husband due to bronchitis; and I have pneumonia. My husband is feeling much better and moving carefully. I am feeling slightly better and hope to continue to do so. Lots of rest, liquids and the wonders of modern medicine. A very heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at SMUC for your kindness and helping us get back to good health.

Wife got sick on vacation and heard this place was the best to go to in the area. Didn’t disappoint. Place was very busy but we were there only 45 minutes. The pharmacy next door was very convenient and fast as well.

Stopped here on a Friday at 4 pm with a wife with a serious bout of bronchitis and the folks here were courteous and professional from the moment she walked in the door. I highly recommend this place for all your urgent care needs. Out of towers don’t know who to trust with their medical emergencies but this place excelled in every way possible.
