Second Time Around

Entire place looks like a yard sale.
Lots of $ 4 items that look like they came from Walmart.
Not so courteous owner…

Be sure to add Second Time Around to your list of places to visit! I have been a customer and consignor for many years. The owner is always helpful and she knows her inventory. The prices are always fair for both buyers and sellers. Everything is always well organized and it is just a fun place to shop. If you are a seller, your items will sell. As a buyer, you will always have a variety of treasures to explore for your shopping adventures. The owner and her staff are always willing to help you with measurements, ideas or anything else that you need to make a decision. They will also help you to figure out creative ways to get things that you buy into your car or provide contacts for delivery. These local business owners are conscientious and they work hard to give thousands of usable items a second chance at reasonable prices!

I agree with PC P. Not only are they rude, but when I went to pick up what they had not sold of my items, they could not locate an oil painting I had consigned with them. OK, crap happens but how they handled it was totally off-​putting. It was very much a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude, nor did they offer to compensate me – even for half of what they priced it. Then, on top of this, the young girl was very rude when I asked for a copy of my item list… she bitched because «copies cost $$» and threw a little temper tantrum when I mentioned she had no right to complain about a 10cent copy when she had just lost my item. Then her mother jumped in, talking about me right in front of me! This after losing my oil painting AND selling boots they had priced at $ 50 for $ 15, giving me $ 7.50 for a brand new pair of fashion boots?!? Yeah, right! Sorry, sweetie, your mamma’s store stinks. Literally and figuratively.

Ya know? I hate to be the one to have the opposite review as the only other one posted? BUT…
«I» personally have been given luke warm attention on the few occasions that I have been to this store. I «DO» frequent a couple other stores in the county & they have always been more than happy to give discounts to veterans — even if it’s only a small 10%. When I inquired about this here? WOW, did I get a very rude response that her prices were already very low. Honey, YOUR prices are NOT low in comparison to other stores in Pinellas County. But I still occasionally have gone back to check things out.
BUT. .. the deal breaker now? I visited the store yesterday to see about consigning. I brought in many items that were not only in much better condition that many items that I’ve seen in this location? But half of them still had TAGS on them, as they had never even been worn.
After the 2 young staff members there looked them over. .. they young girl proceeded to tell me that they could not use any of the items as they either «were damaged, had stains or were out-​dated».
Well, firstly, even IF this were to be the case. .. are you kidding me? You actually SAID this to a customer?
But secondly. .. given what I stated above as the condition of these garments. .. when I got home I told my sister’s & the neighbor what I was told.
We spent the next HOUR, each of us, going over EACH item. We found NO «stains» OR «damage» to ANY of the garments. We still are not sure about the out-​dated remark, as the items with tags on them were purchased within the last 6 months, & to be honest with you? FAR newer than many of the items I have seen in this store.
SO, in conclusion? Not only will «I» NEVER frequent this location again. .. but now neither will any of my family or neighbors. And I can pretty much assure you. .. that anyone that any of us come into contact with? Will not visit this store either.
So «Second Time Around». .. I guess you figure that you have a strong enough following that you can treat your customers anyway you feel like.

5÷11÷13 — I took these SAME items (minus the Men’s clothing, as this particular
store does not deal w/men’s clothing) to another Boutique style Consignment Store
and EACH & EVERY ONE of my items were accepted with MUCH excitement of
the cleanliness & «fresh» style. They were additionally impressed as I had each of
my garments on hangers & ready to be released for immediate sale.

Love this shop! The store is family owned and operated. They are friendly, helpful, and easy going. The owner has a wonderful, fresh selection of clothes and also offer a large selection of home furnishings and décor. The pricing is more than fair; in fact they could double their prices and still be fair on most articles.
If you’re in the area it is definitely worth the stop.
