We were on a winery day trip and this place popped up on Unilocal!Honestly not much to look at but it was clean and the salad bar though small was fresh and well maintained. The food was spot on though some of the best fried oysters i have had in quite a bit and the wifes grilled ham and cheese was tasty. Worth a stop in if your in the area!

Great stop just a few minutes off the highway. We are from New Jersey and always looking for a great meal. Wonderful hush puppies, nicely grilled flounder with cole slaw(finely chopped, lots of dressing and a bit sweet) just the way I like it. Fried okra topped off lunch. 100 times better than Cracker Barrel fish fry! Great service. Friendly and very attentive.

Thus restaurant has a very hometown feel. They serve delicious chicken tenders. The service was good, and the food was ready quickly. They have a salad bar.

I have only been to this establishment a handful of times, but it has never failed to impress. This is definitely a little hidden gem in Pine Level and a go to favorite of many locals. It has been stated a lot of seniors eat here, and that is definitely true. My grandparents are in their 80’s and they eat here at least once or twice a week! Good old southern cooking at its best. The kind of place that those from out of town should be grateful they stumbled upon. They’ve got all the regular menu items of a country kitchen and at very reasonable prices. Even though I enjoy places like the Cracker Barrel from time to time, this is more authentic by far. True, it’s most assuredly off the beaten path of hwy 70 and hwy 301, but it’s just a quick trip in from Smithfield or Selma if you know the back roads or check your GPS. It’s worth the extra time to get here if you don’t live directly in Pine Level. Give it a try! –C

Our family has gone to Parkside Café forever. Be sure to tell Ms Shirley I sent you there. Their new salad bar is a perfect addition. But the steaks are really worth going for.

While visiting the local winery we asked where we should stop for lunch, this is where they sent us. Such a cute little diner, with a very simple and cheap menu. Our waitress was your typical southern grandma who called us «baby» and«hun.» Things you can only get away with in the south! The restaurant was insanely clean! I had the BLT with cheese and my husband had the chicken fried steak, which looked so yummy! Also, free hush puppies. Can you really go wrong with that?!?

We finally discovered this little gem after having lived in Pine Level for over a year. But now that we know about it we try to go in there often. The food has always been great and so has the service! Everything Ive tried has been awesome. Plus free hushpuppies!
