My most recent Proair HFA didn’t dispense anywhere near the package quantity promised. Rather than 200 puffs, my inhaler was depleted with 49 doses remaining. I asked Walgreens for a refund or credit towards my next refill but they refused stating that I had to contact the manufacturer. It was from Lot# DAA97A. It’s bad enough that this medication isn’t covered under my insurance. At full price I expect the proper amount of medication to be dispensed. Please advise. Their reply was basically that I wasn’t cleaning the dispenser often enough to which I replied: I have been using inhalers for more than 40 years and actually wash the actuator every 3 or 4 days. If the inhaler was dirty, pressing down on it would count as a shot without properly dispensing the medication. I have the opposite problem. The container is empty and the counter shows 50 doses left. Never heard from them again so they clearly don’t stand behind their product, There’s only one thing worse than expecting a dose of medication because you can’t breath and the container is empty and that’s a company that only fills their product 75% and won’t edmit it or even rectify the situation. If you have asthma, don’t risk it, DON’T buy from Teva/Proair.
