So you are thinking about going to the Hawaiian Crab(HC)? Well depending on what you are looking for, you will either love it or hate it. Personally, we loved it. The HC is a Ravens Roost., and we were there for game day. What a great time! The crowd is mostly older(over 50) but VERY friendly. You would think you are actually at the stadium the way they cheer for the Ravens. We met up with my Dad and felt welcome the second we walked in. Folks were pouring us beer and handing us crabs while yelling for the Ravens. They sing and dance when they score. It is rumored that Baltimore football royalty has been seen at the HC.(I wont say who publicly) So If you are in Ocean City or the Bethany area and looking for a great place to watch the game, you are guaranteed good time here for any Ravens fan. How’s the food? I have no clue but the beer was cold.

We went here over the summer using a restaurant .com voucher. Big mistake! This place is a glorified bar. Food was terrible! There was one waiter, and four dining tables, and he kept forgetting what table ordered what. Crab cakes were lousy, the fried shrimp my wife got seemed like they were straight out of the grocery freezer. Couldn’t leave fast enough. If you are looking for a dive bar to have a few beers, then try this place. Just don’t eat anything.

This is more of a review of the bar than the grill: I’ve never eaten here. I’ve been here twice, both times well after dark on the weekend. The Hawaiian Crab is the local spot for Karaōke. The bar is full of characters. They’re mostly older, seemingly local, and very friendly. The drafts are cheap and the entertainment is free. If you’re a fan of awesomely bad(or good?) karaōke this place is the best!

Used a $ 25 gift voucher for 3 people. MD Crab soup had a half can of string beans and a tiny bit of crab meat and some brown broth. Cream of crab soup– cream, starch, potatoes and cream. Where’s the crab? Still hungry since I could not finish my entrée as the waitress spent 15 minutes finding the steak sauce for my New York strip was tasteless. Soft shell crab –bland fried crunch and well done dried seared tuna. We ate half of our meals, asked for the check and all went to eat huge sundaes @ Dumsers. Lessons learned don’t eat here again
