Very poor quality, spotty customer service. Four years ago we remodeled entire house. Interior designer recommended a gal to make drapes for dining room and she sub-contracted out the shades. Windows West was the vendor she used. In addition to other items, we bought blackout shades for 3 bedrooms. Various shades have broken numerous times, one particular shade has had to be repaired 4 times, twice sent back to the factory for repairs that couldn’t be done on site. I wish there were a lemon law for home furnishings. The rep for northern California, D’Artagnan(no, he’s not as helpful as a musketeer), is nice enough but it sometimes takes him weeks to make his way down to the San Francisco area and so we must live with a shade that is half-way down, making the room dark during the day and letting in the light early in the morning, and just looking like we’re hillbillies with a crooked shade hanging in the window. Latest mishap is that the cord to the shade in my daughter’s room snapped 6 weeks ago. Got a replacement cord at no charge but cannot get it into the control box. I’ve sent 4 – 5 emails, they say they’ll look into it and then I hear nothing. I wish I’d done some research and not just gone with the company that the designer recommended.(She no longer uses Windows West after my experiences.)
