once before you die, you have got to try their butternut squash soup. oh my ! buttery and smooth, perfect on a nippy fall evening. their pizza is crunchy good and I love their salads. portions are too chintzy for my hungry man, who would like to see a plate piled high with grub. no Cali cuisine for this boy. there were these funky hare krishna’s or buddhists(what the hell, they all look the same to us normal folk) sitting near us that STUNK to high heaven. I thought these types lived on grasshoppers and raw honey? why were they eating in a restaurant? I ponder this

This place used to be fabulous; tucked away in a narrow little storefront with a brick pizza oven, it was the ultimate small town café/restaurant with great special pizzas, fresh-baked bread, and wonderful, simple dinners. They’ve since expanded, and lost some of their charm and the light touch with food. It’s still good, though. Their pizzas are very good, and they have delicious sweet potato shoe string fries. I am not a fan of their homemade ketchup, though, and they’re trying too hard to pull off fine dining, when their strong point was simple, classic food. Sigh.
