Svc was mediocre food was bland. Our check came to the table and immediately we gave them our debit card. 18 minutes later I walked to the bar to find out what was going on. They advised me that the card machine acting up. I asked for my card back to go to an atm. Once I returned to pay my bill and it was still taking longer than it should. I asked what was taking so long the girl said only 1 person can get into the register.

I stopped in yesterday for lunch and loved the service and food. I had never had Cuban before and was delighted with the variety and quality of the food. I had the sampler platter for appetizer and the roast pork dinner. It was all delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be eating there again.

I love this place! Who would have thought you could get great Cuban food in Sebastian! The Pollo alla Parilla is amazing, if you try it make sure to ask for a side of pico de gallo to dump over the black beans and white rice. The daily drink specials are also a great reason to go and they are ALLDAY so you never have to worry that you arrived too late. Try it, you’ll be happy you did.

If you are a tourist and you are sick the normal fried American foods practically every restaurant in Florida serves, come here! If you are local, you are EXTREMELY lucky that you can come here! I stayed on the beach and didn’t mind the drive into sabastian. Well worth it if you are ready for Cuban food! Although this place is far from fancy inside — the FOOD is GREAT! We had Havanas tapas — had picadillo(great flavor), ropa vieja(nice and tender) and roast pork(fantastic). Our entrée was the oxtail with sides of black beans and arroz con gandules. This was amazing! Ended with the flan. Also excellent!

I love the authentic Cuban specialties this place offers. The ropa vieja and maduros are top notch. The service is often slow(reminds you of laid back island life) but the food is great. The happy hour 2-for-1 mojitos or margaritas are an added bonus.

While on vacation at Disney’s Vero Beach we decided to find something we can’t normally get while in OKC. After seeing the reviews for Las Palmas we decided Cuban would be a good choice. We started with empanadas and mofongo solo, both were full of flavor. For our entrees my wife had the rabo encindido(Cuban beef oxtail) with moro rice and I had the seafood paella. The rabo encindido and moro rice is highly recommended, and the paella was just as good and beyond enough for me to eat. Dinner was finished up with a slice of the Cuban style flan, which reminded of my visit to a Cuban bakery in Little Havana in Miami.

This place is amazing! The cilantro dressing for the house salad was the best!!! The server really knew her stuff too. Very suggestive and helpful! Joyous experience!

I have been here for drinks and appetizers before and loved them… But tonight the dinner service was just awful… Waited over 20 Minutes to get drinks after we sat… Took over an hour from sit down to get our food. Then our server never came back to check on us… We had planned on having a few more drinks and desserts but couldn’t find any one to take the order for it, other waitress that wasn’t ours simply said I am not your server. Another younger girl did get soda refills for the kids though. Kudos to her the only one who actually appears to work there… Too bad cause we thought we had a new favorite spot… Guess we will keep looking…

Disappointed! Don’t go here for lunch if you are expecting a real Cuban sandwich. Cheap sandwich meat ham on a barely pressed roll.

Stopped in here for lunch recently on a quick trip from Orlando to Miami. Cute atmosphere; good food. I decided to stink up the place and went with steak fajitas. They were muy delicioso! Meat was full of flavor and the vegetables tasted fresh. The order came out pretty quickly, which was nice. In addition to the food, I had a mojito upon the recommendation of one of my dining companions. I’m not typically a mojito kinda person but gotta say this was tasty! Great little place and quite a surprise for being located in a shopping strip in the middle of nowhere! I’d definitely go back here if I’m ever in the area.

We were visiting family in Micco and craving Spanish food. My husband is Puerto Rican and he is not close with his family, so we hardly ever get to enjoy Spanish food. Our family had not tried it but they were willing too and so glad they did! This food was amazing. We actually came for dinner and then my husband insisted on going back for lunch the next day. The portions were great and all left with leftovers. We are from Mass and are unable to find anything like it around here. The food at Las Palmas was so good I have considered flying back to Florida just to eat here! I cannot wait to visit again and try the amazing Cuban food.

The food tasted good and the service was okay. It was hard getting my water filled since it was a little busy. The thing that I and my friend noticed was that the portion of meat in our Cuban and Palomilla steak sandwich was that the portions of meat in them were very very small. I think that for the price of $ 9 each should have had much more. The pastries were good, but I’m not sure if this will be a destination for me when wanting Cuban food.

I visited this Cuban Restaurant on an off-season Monday night. The restaurant, which seats about 100 people was already about a third full at 5:45pm, and by the time I left at 7:00pm, it was half full. The waitress was quick, smiley and on top of her game. The menu offers a variety of Cuban specialities, along with some Mexican and Mexican inspired Cuban dishes.(oddly, I was offered a Margarita as soon as I sat down, but not a Mojito). I kept it simple by ordering the pernil(roast pork) with yellow rice and black beans and Cuban bread. In a word: Outstanding! The pork was so delicious I didn’t want this meal to ever end! Every dish I saw being served also looked wonderful When I came here, I knew nothing about this place and did NOT read any Unilocal reviews so that I would be completely unbiased. All I can say is, the food and service was great and I was pleasantly surprised! If I could give a half star, I’d give it a 4 ½, so I’ll have to make it a 4. I am so happy this restaurant is here, especially given the Sebastian area’s biker/beer and burger culture. This place is such a refreshing break from all that. Go here.

This place is incredible! Authentic Cuban and Puerto Rican dishes. I had the Ropa Vieja along with the Cuban sampler. My Dad had the Cuban Steak Sandwich. We were both VERY satisfied with our meals. To top it all off. our server Luisa was AMAZING. Super friendly, knowledgeable and patient(with my Dad!). We adored her! Can’t wait to go back when I’m in town again. Highly recommended! There is something for everyone on the menu!

We ate at Las Palmas the first night of our camping vacation(at Sebastian Inlet State Park). After much discussion about whether to eat at a waterfront location or look for good food(very rarely have we found both in the same place), we decided to look for good food. We found it at Las Palmas. We were seated quickly and our first server took our beverage order. we asked her for recommendations and she gave us several. Our waitress came with the beverages and we asked her for recommendations as well. One of the items that both of them mentioned was the Pork Chunks. So, we ordered those(to share) with the Moro Rice(Cuban Rice and Beans) and The Fried Plantains. The Pork Chunks were good and the Moro Rice really added some authentic Cuban flavor. The Fried Plantains were like candy. It was like having dessert as a side.

We’ve been to Las Palmas a couple of times and have never been disappointed! The empanadas are great(though a little greasy), the cuban sandwich is great(though not Miami-Cuban great), the mofongo is delicious(but overpriced). Fun environment, great service, we’ll be back!

What a fun surprise in a strip mall in an out-of-the-way place. Good, authentic Cuban food, friendly neighborhood feel, great service. The Cuban take on paella was delicious. The mofongo was worth the try. Very friendly place with an entertaining décor.

I just had one of the best meals of my life here at Las Palmas Cuban Restaurant! The Paella Marisco(Seafood Paella) is one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. First off how I got to this great meal and place; When I got to the Sebastian area I saw this place on Unilocal and wanted to get a good Cuban Sandwich. I saw the restaurant in a strip mall driving around and figured I’d give them a try for lunch. I had a beer there while waiting for the sandwiches to go. The staff was friendly and the beer was cold. The food that went by when I was there looked and smelled great. The décor was bright and festive and I began to like the place already. I looked at a dinner menu while waiting and saw Paella. I said then and there — if the sandwiches were good — I’d be back for Paella. The Cuban Sandwich I had was most excellent and the Steak sandwich Monica had was great. It was the eve of Valentines Day and we decided to beat the rush and go out for dinner. We decided to come to Las Palmas for Paella. On arriving we found the restaurant rather crowded but we got a nice booth with no wait and there was even live music. Our drink orders were taken and delivered quickly by the lovely Victoria. We had the Garlic Shrimp appetizer and it was fantastic! Great garlic flavor and shrimp cooked perfect and served with great bread. We had salads that came with the dinner and got the house cilantro dressing and it was full of great flavor and the salads were fresh and tasty. When the Seafood Paella arrived I was blown away by its beauty and aroma! It looked better than I could have imagined and smelled like heaven! Our fists bites were followed by moans of joy! The flavor was instant joy!!! The rice and all the seafood were cooked perfect. It was moist and tender and it was so loaded with flavor that we both felt we found nirvana!!! Victoria our server checked on us often enough and refilled our drinks as needed and always re-apeared when we needed her.(And she was gorgeous too). The prices are very reasonable here.(and much better value and flavor than places on the water a few blocks away) Don’t postpone joy — try dinner at Las Palmas. I can’t wait to return. I’ve added pics.
