Awful food and manager seemed more set on getting me to leave than to want business. The food was not cooked fully. Drinks are way overpriced.

The atmosphere/surroundings cannot be beat! Breathtakingly beautiful! The servers had good intentions but the kitchen was absolutely lazy — shrimp tacos with cold overcooked, to the point of rubbery, shrimp, tortillas directly from their wrapper, sad pinches of shredded lettuce and fake cheese — THAT’S IT! The Owners have a lot invested here and would no doubt be embarrassed of his staff and kitchen! Restaurant needs new Mgmt!

Terrible food and service. They brought me a Cajun chicken sandwich that hadn’t been cooked. Raw chicken. We’re they trying to give me salmonella? Drinks were weak. Fries were nasty. Never coming back.

Arrived about 3 pm on Monday — kitchen closed due to power outage — however — televisions above the bar on.

Came to the Blackfin with a party of 10 people and received horrible service and food that was not properly prepared. One member of the party ordered a quesadilla — easy to prepare and serve. It came without cheese on a burned tortilla. An order of fish dip as an appetizer took so long that it came just before the food. The meals came five at a time with a large delay between the two deliveries. So much so that the original five were done eating before the second five received their meals. We were not a picky party, nor were we heavy drinkers but our drinks were not replenished in a timely fashion. Someone came and offered to remove the quesadilla and give her a complimentary dessert. By now, our dinner was ruined. The view was great but it’s so dark in the restaurant that you can’t see each other or the food. They must rely on tourists who won’t return because as a regular, I won’t be back.

Great service but food was beyond bad. The conch fritters were bland and the fries were dry and stale. The mahi mahi was grilled and also bland. Other than the poor food the service was great.

I really wanted to like this place but I don’t think I can ever come back again after what I experienced. I consider myself a craft beer connoisseur and my favorite beer of all time is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I’ve been drinking it for about 8 years. I order a Sierra Nevada on draft and receive it a few minutes later. I take one sip and think to myself, this is absolutely not Sierra Nevada. It didn’t taste hoppy or bitter at all like an IPA should. It tasted water down, more like a Yuengling. A watered down Yuengling at that. I let the server know that I have received the wrong beer and would like a Sierra Nevada IPA. I watch the bartender pour the second beer from the Sierra Nevada tap so I know that they poured the correct beer this time. Again, I take a sip and it tastes EXTREMELY watered down. I know for a fact that this is not my favorite beer. I drink this beer almost every day so I can absolutely tell when something is off. My wife and mother in law try the beer and agree that it tastes like water. I apologize to the server and I ask for a completely different beer, Sweetwater 420. I get the beer and take a sip and it tastes just like it should, a nice, hoppy, IPA. After I take a sip I look in the glass and there is BLACKMOLD all over the foam of the beer. I mean, there were slimy black specs covering the entire top of the beer. I was absolutely disgusted and almost threw up. In fact, I have been sick for the past 2 days with a headache and stomach ache which may or may not have been a result of sipping the nasty black stuff. I have no idea how long it’s been since they cleaned their draft lines but for there to be black sludge in my beer tells me its been a very long time. Please clean your keg lines, you are going to get a lot of people sick. The plus side was that the server and manager were very nice people and he comped my drinks and gave me a gift card but I honestly don’t think I can come back again. I wouldn’t want to risk my health. I honestly felt really bad about sending back 3 beers because I have never had to do that before in my life. If I do come back I will ONLY be buying bottled beers.

Came in for happy hour. My Coke was lonely… Like the atmosphere. All outside in the beach and sand on the floor. Like it already.

The seafood was fresh and delicious, my steak was just right. My wife bets that those shrimp were alive this morning! But best of all was having Roxy take care of us. Diligent, friendly and our drinks and food were served quite without delay. She even threw in a slice of creamy key lime pie on the house for my birthday. Definitely not the last time we having dinner there.

Tourists, snowbirds, and retirees are really all the frequent here. Locals that actually live in the town don’t go except if someone visiting wants to go. Service is terrible especially out in the sandbar. Last time we went there(family in town for the holidays wanted to go) it took 45 minutes from when we asked for the check to finish cashing out and it really wasn’t THAT busy. Food is ok. There are much better places to get food. Drinks are ok. They took a lot off their menu at the sandbar and it was disappointing. Live entertainment always lacks any substance. I love the location and feel like it has huge potential to be an awesome place to go. But if you really want a place that«locals go», make there be some kind of incentives. Otherwise I’ll stick to other places close by.

Everything about this place is amazing! From the food to the atmosphere to the little gift shop. It has an awesome view. The clam chowder is always really good.

Fun place. Great location. Food below average. If you’re on the water in Florida and can’t serve excellent seafood something needs to be changed. I would go back for drinks but not dinner.

My feeling after eating dinner there last night… Meh. It didn’t suck, but it wasn’t worth the almost $ 100 check for 3 people(not including tip). We live in the area, so we figured why not stop by for dinner. I wasn’t in the mood to cook and it had been a while since we had gone there. The clam chowder was good, but the Maryland Crab Soup was over seasoned and I tasted everything else in it, BUT the crab. It was otherwise a vegetable soup heavily seasoned with Old Bay. I barely finished ½ the cup. Not a fan. The conch fritters were good, albeit a little overcooked on the outside. Not golden brown… but dark. Didn’t look visually appealing, but they tasted good on the inside. The sauce they serve was a bit on the spicy side, but works well with the fritters. The picture posted is with a flash, so the colors are correct. Fried Shrimp was delicious and we enjoyed the onion rings, but the cook needs to lighten up on the seasoning they sprinkle on the fresh vegetables. I love squash and broccoli, but with the seasoning sprinkled over it, it added a gritty like texture that was a cross between birdseed and«grain», as my daughter put it. No more than 2 bites eaten of them by anyone in the family. The special of the day was snapper, which my husband had broiled with the Lobster butter. The snapper was cooked correctly, but the lobster butter was overly salted and the portion size of the fish the serve was way too small for the $ 24 market price they charge. I wish I had gotten a photo before he started eating. Would I go back again any time soon? No… I would much rather drive up the street and have some fabulous Mexican or Chinese food at a fraction of the cost. There are much better restaurants in the Sebastian area.

Vissett, the hostess can be rude with poor welcome etiquette. The food is good but same choices of sides, ex: veggies. Hostess are great. Love the intercoastal waterways.

Go here every year while on the boat on the river. Great drinks, decent food, a little over priced, but the atmosphere is worth it. I would like to get the opportunity to check it out when they have bands.

Very disappointing experience. A bit long of a wait for such an underwhelming meal(granted, we visited during mid-week Spring Break). Service was very … How to say this… Parochial and too generic — didn’t feel like our party of 7 was at all special(or even overly welcome). The menu, while robust, can’t convey how utterly ordinary and/or unenjoyable the food actually was. After sitting a while, contemplating the menu, we ordered a few appetizers: we would have some wings, and… tututut! The waitress said, «Ummmm…I THINNNK we’re outta of chicken wings… sorry.» Yes. Somehow, just ran outta chicken wings. On a Wednesday night. My BIL would have the lamb… tututut! Without much to-do about it, the waitress said that she THIINKSSS they’re out of the lamb… sorry. Hrmmm, okay. After muddling through a greasy(I mean grease-pooled food) entrée or three, it was time for dessert. We would have a few dishes of vanilla ice cream. You guessed it: «I THINNNNK we’re out of ice cream…» Note to Owner’s: If you run a restaurant that runs out of VANILLA ice cream, GOTOTHE F*%^#g NEAREST7 – 11ANDBUYSOMESOYOUCANSERVEITATYOURSUBSTANTIALMARKUP! The waitress sort of stared at us blankly. «Can I get ya’s anything else?» she asked. «The bill.» said my SIL, as thoroughly perturbed as the rest of us. First & last time visiting your(apparently barren) ship, Cap’n! Note to would-be food pirates: No treasure here.

Don’t stay here. You’ve been warned. We were traveling from Seattle for a USGA tournament at John’s Island and this hotel came highly recommended for all the players and guests to stay at. We stayed for 1 night and had to checkout the very next morning. The rooms were not very clean and the ambiance less enticing.

Positives– ambiance of the sand bar was great. Live music on point and the feel was nice! Frozen drinks came out quick and in a cool cup you can keep. Had the fish and chips and never had it with mahi and was delicious! Server was friendly. Negatives– FOODPOISONING within 30min of leaving the place! My boyfriend and I were so sick!!! We believe it had to be from the margaritas we ordered as the sour mix immediately hit us when we were drinking them. Or it had to be the smoked fish dip. We ordered to start the seafood sampler which is extremely small and over priced. If it had not been for getting super sick I would’ve rated this place better. Was the worst way to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Especially since we had a hotel in the area and only went because they gave us free drink coupons. Bad idea.

Food was just okay. You definitely go for the setting and the view. Best part of this place for me was they allowed my uncle to pull his boat right up and dock on the restaurant dock. That was something else. What a glorious moment.
