Zumiez

Stopped shopping there solely because how annoying the employees are about following you around consistently asking questions.

Selection is always good and customer service is great. Always a nice place to go and buy clothes for the kids and myself. I love the variety especially from the local brands

My boyfriend and I were at the mall doing some last minute Christmas shopping and we stopped in here. We were talking to each other about gift ideas as we walked into the store. We were greeted by some nice enough kid, doing what he was trained to do, but after the greeting he wouldn’t leave us alone. The two of us are trying to discuss if we wanted to purchase some shoes, and the kid wouldn’t shut up. We were trying to ignore him and he kept trying to make smalltalk. «You guys snowboard? Can’t wait to get up there myself. Yeah, it’s been awhile, but I hear the snow’s great.» We’re both just kinda smiling and nodding and he either doesn’t get the hint that we want him to leave us alone, or he realized he was annoying us and kept going because he’s an ass. Either way, even as we were leaving the store he pulls out some stupid t-​shirt with old people on it that said something about twerking and said something like, «check this out. Isn’t it funny?» No. No it was not funny and we’re not buying anything at this store because of your incessant babble. Thanks.

Bought a skateboard for my kid there last week. The staff were super helpful and it was fun to swap skateboarding stories from the past. Awesome shop and my son loves his board.

I really liked this store. I came here to purchase a gift for a friend and I thought the selection was great. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it would be better if they had more people on staff. I came during a busy weekend and the service was good but I wish I didn’t have to wait so long.

This place was great! The people who worked there were very friendly and nice. They had a great selection of clothes, and you could make your own skateboard. All the people who worked there knew exactly where everything was, which was great and made shopping really easy. It took me three minutes to walk in and out and get some stuff. Zumiez is a really great place, with nice people. I plan on returning soon.

Raising my stars to 4 for Mikey, cool nice guy. Knows my son on sight (probably because he and his friends spend every weekend here!). So we got a very friendly greeting and the VIP treatment. We came in this afternoon to get a board for my 7 yr. old (likes to be like big bro!). At first we were thinking about building on from scratch, which Mikey does but on his recommendation we ended up buying a beginner type board that was already put together which saved the boy a little of his birthday money and it is still a super cool board… or so I’m told. Yes the place is cramped and this time of year crowded but every time I come here with or without my rock star son I am treated with respect even though I’m an old mom who knows nothing about skating.

I feel kind of weird having the only ⁵⁄₅ here, haha.
I’ve been to a few Zumiez, ranging from the one in Southcenter, to Bellevue, and to some here in Sacramento and the Bay Area. The one in Renton has been the friendliest so far!
Maybe it’s just that I’m around the same age as the people who work there, but they were ready to give me tips and advice on clothing. Other Zumiez have checkers who don’t even bother doing anything else besides ringing you up.
Clothing prices aren’t too bad, either. :)

I’m with Cameron. When my daughter moved on from Hot Topic she wound up here and the problem is that most of the tweens that shop here aren’t really skateboarders anyway. They just want the look and don’t mind letting mommy and daddy pay way too much for it. It’s all hollow attitude here.
