Great service and great food. Would highly recommend this Little hole in the wall! In fact can’t wait to come back.

This is the best teriyaki on the hill now after Yasuko’s was closed across from Swedish. It’s not the best teriyaki I have ever had, but it is a solid product. Go for the Spicy Chicken, and take him up on the offer for #26 ;o)

I’ve been going here for over a year on a regular(once a week at least) basis and nothing has changed! Same great food(spicy chicken is seriously all I could want from there) and the owner is simply hilarious! Remembers my name and my order every time.

Best teriyaki on the Hill. Ask about the spicy lady.

When I first walked in here, I wasn’t immediately impressed. The food turned out to be pretty good, though. I ordered chicken teriyaki and the man took pre-grilled chicken pieces out of a bin, cut them up, and tossed them into the to-go box. I would have hoped for at least a quick warming up on the grill. The teriyaki was good, though, and the sauce was tasty. It was served with cabbage dressed with something acidic, which wasn’t my favorite. Would have preferred a small salad with the creamy dressing I have seen at other teriyaki places. I would probably return based on the convenience of the location to my apartment.

Let’s see, I have gotten nothing but great customer service when I arrive. Makes me feel like they were expecting me, a little ESP perhaps? I always get the spicy chicken teriyaki. However, sometimes I switch it up and get the chicken breast, salmon or regular teriyaki which are all delicious. It’s just the nice heat and sweet that you get from the spicy chicken teriyaki with the sauced up cabbage that I love. I’m not exactly sure what the sauce is in the cabbage, but it tastes vinegar-y with a little sweet that compliments the teriyaki. If you want a soda, it’s only $.75! They also have other drinks available and free water in pitchers in the fridge, next to all the sirracha bottles. You can chill out and order your food to eat there and watch the big screen T.V. or take it to go! There is a man there with a cool asian mustache and always says something to me in Tagalog, which is funny because he isn’t Filipino. I like him, always makes me laugh and brightens my day, not just because of him, but because I leave satisfied. Try not to go during busy lunch hours, especially when near by O’Dea High School is in session as they tend to bombard the place, with no place to sit. Not against having a huge customer base, but it’s hard when you have only an hour for lunch and you’re standing there waiting to be served. Luckily, they are fast as most of the food is prepared in advance(I know), but I don’t seem to mind it as there isn’t any other places for teriyaki within walking distance from my work. Go experience Yoshino’s for yourself. It’s either you love it or hate it. I obviously love it, and it’s a nice change from the cafeteria food at work.

The food comes in good portions with low prices. Perfect for college students and those on a low budget like me. Service is very quick and efficient. The food actually tastes very yummy, not bad at all. The staff is friendly and serves with compassion.(They gave me extra large portion size, for the same price when I was pregnant.)

I go to this place for my lunch sometimes only because I can’t have sandwiches all the time. I’ve had better teriyaki in Seattle but just don’t have enough time when I work. I really think this place could be better in terms of customer service and quality of meat. It’s okay to have it once a while but I would never bring any of my friends or family.

This place is so cheap and so fast The downside however is that all the food is precooked and stored in heated holding bins causing their food to become soggy. The flavor is good but I wish it had a slight crispy char to it. Overall it’s decent place for fast food but not worth a special trip for

Ex-O’dea Special. If you have ever been a student at odea, or know anyone who is than you certainly know about yoshino’s spicy chicken. THEBEST. THEBESTANYWHERE. Spicy sauce is not greasy, the noodles are great. Yoshino is always on point.

This is the worst teriyaki place I have ever been to. The food tastes terrible, like it has been reheated several times, and the owner is a creep.

Firstly, I would like to start off that I love Teriyaki and was really looking forward to this when I was at the hospital nearby. I entered the place and the interior did not bother me as I believe some of the best places in town may not have the best décor. When I was trying to order the gentlemen kept saying he was out of things… Okay understandable. I finally ended up ordering beef and spicy chicken teriyaki. The beef was not even grilled it was boiled! And the spicy chicken teriyaki was definitely cooked a long time ago as it was very dry sitting in a warmer. I have to say not the best place for teriyaki and I am sure you can find a better one nearby.

I“m a frequent visitor to Seattle and I’m often in the First Hill area because the Catholic Cathedral of St. James is right there in the center. It’s a decent neighborhood and Yoshino’s is one of the best places to grab a quick, yet saucy bite. The owner has a bit of an attitude that adds to the whole experience. He might give you a hard time and he might rag you a bit, but it’s all in a good spirit and his teriyaki is worth the abuse. Not to mention, you can probably go in and out in a matter of minutes so if you’re in a hurry, it’s a good place to go. For about six bucks you’ll get a heaping pile of meat, rice, and salad. My favorite is the spicy chicken. It has just the right amount of kick and it is definitely filling. If you’re a hog like me, you’ll eat it all in one sitting. However, if you’re normal, it will provide another meal and the teriyaki holds well. The restaurant isn’t much and the décor is very plain, but let’s face it, you’re there for the food and attitude anyhow.

Walked in and the funny man up front said«You think you the man?» — I responded that I think I’m A man, but not THE man. Then he told me to order #34 and pointed to a calendar hanging behind him that depicted a curvy asian lady, and said«this one you order, always most delicious.» So I asked him if she’s $ 6.95 and he said«you should know, you know a lot about the ladies, right? That’s why you the man.» Then he noticed my wedding band and said«oh no, never mind, you have bondage on your finger(pointing to my ring finger)…» The conversation went on but I won’t bore you with details. Aside from the personality up front, the spicy chicken was great, and a big portion. And if you order the special, it is pre-made like others have mentioned, kept warm buffet-style but in a sealed container. Either way it was great, totally worth it if you’re looking for a quick, greasy, salty, cheap and delicious meal.

Best spicy teriyaki – that’s a stretch. Here’s some legit teriyaki critiques about the spicy teriyaki: 1. Pre-Prepared or precooked meat 2. No grilling marks or caramelization of meat. If you none of these characteristics meet, be careful in throwing the word best. I think the spicy teriyaki was good and this a solid teriyaki place. But with the other choices in the downtown area for teriyaki area, this wouldn’t be my first choice.

They have the best Spicy Chicken Teriyaki here! I usually get the Spicy Chicken with Cabbage no rice and sauce on the side. It really hits the spot! They also have an excellent Pork Teriyaki as well and it goes very well with rice and cabbage for a more heartier option. They are pretty fast here so its a great place to grab some lunch. Sometimes there is a guy that works there that is a little bit of an oddball but I think he’s just trying to be friendly, in any case if your ever around first hill Yoshino is your best bet for some good Teriyaki!

Ok, this guy is hilarious. First off… his number 25 on the ‘menu’ is a hot asian chick photo from a calendar. Then he joked with my boyfriend(he comes in every Wednesday for the Wednesday special: spicy curry chicken with potatoes and carrots) saying, «this is not the same girl as last time?» I laughed and said, «Oh there are 4 of us gf’s but I’m number 1 of the group.» He just started laughing and gave us more chicken, surprised I one-up’d his joke. My favorite is the original chicken teriyaki. Second is the Wednesday special. The pork and chicken combo is good. I ordered the beef once, but it was pretty dry, so I’m staying away from that dish. All-in-all, best place for Chicken teriyaki and similar dishes. HUGE portions, small price.

Came here on a reccommendation. and it wasn’t anything special. They a large menu and I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki. It was just alright… they teriyaki chicken(reg and spicy) are constantly being cooked up and put into a heating tray — which is nice for fast service. But the teriyaki itself wasn’t anything to rave about. I personally am partiular to a different teriyaki joint on Broadway *coughYasukoscough* which has bigger pieces of chicken and bigger servings.
