Surgery went well. What didn’t is after we pulled out cash and paid they managed to come up with a $ 450 «additional charge». I would suggest going to the Mukilteo Dr. Instead.

Very friendly and kind staff. They remember me from 2006 by name. If u have to have oral surgery Dr. Colwell will take good care of you.

Dr. Colwell is awesome! Was referred to him by Roosevelt Dental Center — he’s not a dentist, he’s an oral surgeon, so you’d go to him for things like getting wisdom teeth out, bone grafts/​implants, etc.
He clearly knows his stuff, is kind and patient, even when you’re like me and have a zillion nervous questions. Easily located near Target in Northgate and a big parking lot, quite possibly the most comfortable/​welcoming waiting room I’ve been in, and two super awesome receptionists that remember you by name, answer questions you have over the phone, etc.
I had my wisdom teeth removed, and it went smoothly. They also aren’t stingy on medications (including valium ahead of time) so you can have a stress-​free, pain-​free healing process.
Though a trip to the oral surgeon isn’t something a person normally does, I strongly recommend Dr. Colwell for wisdom teeth and other similar procedures.

My dentist told me that my wisdom teeth needed to come out. All of them were impacted, and none of them were exposed yet, which meant that all of them had to be surgically removed. With close family members affected by nerve damage in the jaw, I was nervous about getting the teeth taken out, fearing that I would be destined to dribble down my chin for the rest of my life with just one wrong move of the drill. Thankfully, that is not the case.
The one thing that I cannot stand about doctors is when they hide some of the details of surgery. I like to know everything to expect, and I got that from Dr. Colwell. He was very thorough about everything that I would experience during the surgery. He gave me the percent chances of nerve damage and temporary numbness and went through each drug administered for the surgery and their effects. He then explained in detail the procedures of the surgery. The staff are very nice and helpful (the lady who administered the x-​ray gave me juice afterward because I seemed nervous, which I was. It seems small, but these little things really made me feel better). To top it off, he has a good sense of humor (he told me that if I didn’t want to stand up slowly to prevent passing out, since the general anesthesia can cause your blood pressure to drop, I had the option of getting a crash helmet ;).
After I got the laughing gas, I don’t remember anything until I got in the car to get home. I had no nausea or pain following the surgery, and Dr. Colwell called me the next day to check up on my progress. Overall, I had a very good experience at his office. As he is recommended by Dr. Hohl in Seattle, I would definitely recommend such an excellent, competent oral surgeon.
