I don’t really know why I’m giving this place two stars… maybe because even though it was pretty crappy sushi, I didn’t get sick from it, which is always a plus. But like I said, pretty crappy sushi. At the time I went there, I was a fairly inexperienced sushi eater. My boyfriend, on the other hand, was very good at telling the difference between good and bad sushi. This was pretty bad. The rolls were sloppy, the fish was flavorless and weak. Another star given just for the fact it had beer, but that’s to be expected, really. Service was alright, pretty slow if I remember correctly, and even though the entire place was empty, a large family was seated RIGHT next to us(with small children). I have issues with that. Haven’t been back since.

Pretty good place. There«Las Vegas» sushi roll had read cigarette butts and loose slots. My stomach hurt after eating there. The server was funny and nice, but it took a long time to pay and leave. I hate Sushi and don’t any seafood, so *** is not too shabby.

The food was OK. I’m no sushi connoisseur but can at least recognize quality, and nothing was very bad or truly excellent. The yakisoba was much spicier than I’ve ever had anywhere else. So why 2 stars? This was one of the worst customer service experiences EVER. I was there with a group of co-workers for a birthday, we called ahead to make a reservation and were treated like it was a pain for them to do so. When we got there it wasn’t yet busy so there was plenty of room, but it did soon fill up so we were glad to have made our reservation. The waitress seemed uninterested and annoyed by everybody in the restaurant. Our menus, water, and food were all practically tossed at us, and the service was extremely slow. Several dishes weren’t brought out together(one salad brought at the end of the meal) or were almost forgotten about altogether. When other customers walked into the busy lunch rush, she sarcastically offered to seat them with strangers. All of this was endured for 2 hours and then she had the nerve to put an automatic gratuity on the bill because our group was 8 people… automatic tip should never be an excuse to treat a customers poorly. The only reason they didn’t get 1 star was because the food wasn’t as bad as the service. Save yourself the trouble and cross the street to Sushi Kyo.

Decent food, decent prices. Middle of the road Japanese food. I usually make a point to try to figure out if the restaurant is Japanese-owned, with this restaurant I was not completely sure. I think it is Korean-owned but I am not sure. I came here with my coworkers and my company footing the bill. What did we do? Yep, you guessed it: Order almost everything off the menu. I got to have a taste of many of my coworker’s sushi rolls and sashimi. The fish was decent, but the rice could have been better. My coworkers who ordered bento boxes seemed to enjoy their meal. I remember ordering Toro, but I should have ordered O-toro instead, a cut above regular Toro I guess. Another mistake I made: I did not make sure to say«2 orders of XXXX» when I ordered. So I only got one piece of everything I ordered. I was under the impression that 1 order comes with two pieces. I also remember walking in and noticing they had a good selection of donburi on their«specials board,» but I didn’t get a chance to try it. I haven’t tried many Japanese places in the rest of Belltown, but I would not hesitate to recommend Wild Fish to anyone looking for Japanese eats.

My buddy and I love, love, love Wild Fish. We go here weekly for sushi. The lunch prices are great, the service is completely SPECTACULAR(we love our server) and it’s not too busy. It’s quiet and we can chat.

Okay so this place is truly cheap asian eats for Belltown with happy hour running from 4 – 8 pm during the summer(normally i believe its 4 – 630). That said, they’ve got a lot of things on special for $ 3 – 4. My personal favorite is the plum wine — which is an excellent summer drink. That said, despite being cheap the dishes aren’t spectacular and I would suggest avoiding the Black Cod Collar and Shumai. The sushi is definitely passable and for the price most things are hard to argue with.
