Since I have to wear them on my face, I buy high-quality glasses, take good care of them and keep them a long time. The record for one pair is 17 years. I now have two pair from Visual Effects, one clear and, the other, sunglasses. About two years ago, I discovered I could no longer drive at night because every light — headlights, street lights, neons, whatever — turned into a blinding glare. One evening, I spent the night in a motel rather than drive with impaired vision. When I visited Visual Effects, I was assured that Crizal coating on a new pair of clear lenses would solve the problem. It did and does. I found an awesome pair of frames that were designed and made in Amsterdam. They actually improve my appearance, and these glasses get compliments from strangers. Most important, these lenses give me the best vision I’ve ever had from a pair of lenses. When I had less money, I did buy my glasses at Costco. They were fine. No complaints. They did the job. But there is a difference when you spend the money on the very best quality. I’ve found the staff at Visual Effects to be skilled, friendly and eager to help. I will say that once I waited while one of the staffers finished a friendly conversation that wasn’t about eyewear. But that is one incident among a half-dozen others that have been superior. I would recommend Visual Effects to anyone who wants the best.

Stopped by here after work with a friend to pick up her glasses. We were greeted by the rudest woman ever and her glasses still weren’t ready over a week after the order was put it. As I waited for my friend to be berated and snapped at, I perused the selection. Lots of designer eye-wear, most of it attractive, most of it pricey. There is a 50% off section and a few items available for those on a budget. But, seriously, I can get glasses at Lenscrafters in about an hour with less attitude for less money. Potential customer lost because you treated my friend like an inconvenience in my presence.
