This lounge is a dive bar and also a local’s bar. It’s easy to feel uncomfortable in this bar if you are not a regular/local. The stools have black vinyl that has cracked and the yellow foam is now poking through. The music is loud and it’s grungy feeling. I could not imagine being in the bar when a band was playing since the space is not that big. So how did I end up in Victory Lounge? Well. –My husband and I just signed a lease on a new pad and wanted to celebrate. –Victory Lounge was located within walking distance from our corporate apartment. –There is a giant Leinekugal’s sign painted on the side of the building(one of my favorite beer brands, if not my favorite). The biggest problem for me with Victory Lounge is the false advertising. The signage led me to believe they offerred Leinekugal’s and they do not and that hurt my feelings and my liver.

Cute dive bar, good beer and friendly staff. Went to see a band, although they don’t seem to be set up for performances.

Just moved around the corner and love the vibe of this place. Can’t wait to try the food. Pacifico and Sauza for only $ 6 bucks? See you Tuesday

Dive Bar. Fun place. We came here on a Friday night. I watched a few bands play. One was my son’s band«Doggs”\.» Super fun atmosphere. Very loud inside. Glad I brought earplugs. Super friendly staff! Very chill crowd. The bartender made super strong drinks. We ordered double gin and tonics and it was all gin. The food looked good. We will be back to try the tacos! Outside seating are looked nice — it was to crowded to find seating when we were there.

I went here for happy hour a few days ago, and although I am not a hater of dive bars, this place is not only bad, but they cheat. They publicize happy hour that ends at 6:00, but I went up to the bar at 5:55 and said«still happy hour, right?» In response, the bartender pointed to the clock on the wall, which read 6:10, and said«Nope.» The truth of the matter is that it was 5:55, as shown on my watch, on my smartphone, and, well, on the watches and smartphones of everyone else in Seattle. Don’t believe me? Check it out when(if?) you ever go there. Putting this aside, the staff is not friendly, they have one ceiling fan that does nothing to help the circulation, and the place is in a bad location(unless you love being near I-5. SO many better options than this place, which is plainly dishonest.

Dive bar + dogs. I love this! Found it while searching for taco tuesday joints. Great daily deals. Tacos are only $ 1 and there are 5 choices. Combine it with a $ 6 tequila + Pacific combo. Prices are excellent. Another deal I’m totally coming back for is the 2 hot dogs + pitcher of pbr for only $ 17!!! Definitely don’t come here with high expectations. Come here for the«ambiance.»

Solid neighborhood bar, low-key vibe, cheap drinks and good happy hours. I went for the dollar tacos first, they were good and I sampled all varieties for just $ 5! Woohoo! The next time, I tried to order a grilled cheese from the«new» menu items and he said they weren’t set up for it on Taco Tuesday night. Whatever! I wanted to try one of the hot dogs anyway. Yum! Sometimes the place is dead, sometimes it’s kicking(usually depends on what’s going on next door). I’ve only seen one bartender and one cook, so make sure you go up to order from the bar and be prepared for somewhat of a wait. Yes, there are«regulars» and maybe a bit of a divide if you’re somewhat new but WTF cares?

Pretty shady spot, the regulars there are not very nice, they seem like they own the place. Some of the bartenders give you great service, others just want to chat with the regulars and ignore the rest of the customers

The doorman is really nice, the music is always plenty loud and not too shabby, the drinks are strong, the food(both brunch and evenings) is tasty, and the atmosphere in general is incredibly fun. The bartender Zach is an asshole, and not in a fun, bantering king of way. If he’s working, I walk right back out the door. Beyond that one guy, I recommend checking it out!

This is one of the best taverns i have been to in a long time. The bartenders are great and the food is good. A very diverse crowd, but quite friendly.

Bloody Mary was so salty I could barely drink it. Good selection of beers though for such a tiny place. Awesome dog selection as well as some vegetarian options.

In general, this is a good but not great dive bar. Cheap and strong drinks. Awesome food deals, especially the $ 1 taco Tuesday special. They have nice lil covered patio too. This place was well on its way to becoming my regular after work haunt. However, one employee ruined it for me. After hitting up Taco Tuesday 3 – 4 times without being having anyone ask for my ID, I figured I was known to the staff to be in my early 30’s. Not realizing I left my ID elsewhere, a friend and I decided to check out Wing Wednesday. We walked in and ordered a pitcher of beer and some food, and paid for it. We sat down with our pitcher and few minutes later same bartender came by to check IDs. Because I didn’t have mine, I was thrown out. I don’t mean politely asked to leave, I mean yelled at in front of my friend and other customers, two of which were regular customers at my restaurant in another part of SLU. When I asked for a refund, I was refused, effectively causing me to be robbed of $ 10 for the beer I wasn’t allowed to drink and the wings I didn’t get to eat. I would have figured that with my grey temples and crows feet that most people could tell I’m older than 21. Apparently that is not the case. I realize I made a mistake not having my ID with me, and they were totally within their right to ask me politely to leave. However, refusing me a refund while denying me the services/goods I paid for is some jenky bs! Nor was it ok for the bartender to yell at me. My friend even pointed out that I had paid already and that we had never been carded before at that bar. He snapped at my friend so loudly the table next to us heard him. Later that week two of my customers brought up the incident at work and told me they probably weren’t going to go back there. I don’t blame them, it make the entire place really uncomfortable for everyone. I have only been in there once since this incident. I’m not sure if $ 10 will keep me from going to Taco Tuesday, but I will definitely never go back to Wing Wednesday! What I do know is that I will be telling all 400 of my customers that I see each day at my restaurant not to go to Victory Lounge.

Dollar taco’s on Tuesdays. Can’t beat it. I’m a vegetarian and I went with two non-vegetarians. I got the bean tacos and they got meat. We all enjoyed them! Great salsa on top, some delicious crema, and the broil a little cheese onto the little corn tortilla. Makes the tortilla a little crispy and the cheese all melty. Their happy hour prices aren’t amazing, but the tacos make up for it. You’re going to need at least 5 tacos, though. They are tiny. Will definitely be coming back!

I came in for the World Cup on Saturday. The service was prompt and the bartender was nice, however the drink prices were exorbitant at over ten dollars for a mix drink. The background music was inscrutable heavy funk metal, which was soothing only to a savage soul, and made conversation difficult outside of ear to mouth contact. We left after a drink apiece. The pinball machines looked fun, but the prices were unjustifiably high for so divey a location.

Taco Tuesday is still awesome and worth it. Fish tacos are the best– that spicy white sauce and cole slaw is totally amazing and I’m drooling just thinking about it right now. I’m not a huge fan of tater tots(I know, I know), but their fries are delicious if that’s how you like your fried potatoes. Daily specials are definitely a great deal– drinks are cheap, food is delicious, and you can pretend to be an Alaskan with a duck fart. Why would you NOT like this place? The ladies’ room is still weird.

Sat for 15 min while the bartenders looked at us. Didn’t once ask what we wanted to order. Walked right past and bussed the next table and didn’t acknowledge us at all. Left hungry and thirsty.

Saw my roommate’s awesome band play here. The drinks were good, the crowd was lively, and the music was great. What more can I say? I’ll be back!

Went there once, and the place was cool. You can’t go wrong with Guinness pints! I kinda expected them to have Leinenkugels, but I didn’t see any on tap. They may have had bottles, but I didn’t ask. :-p I have a feeling I’ll be returning. :-)
