I’ve seen various chiropractors over the years and only one has been as good as Gene Kearney. He’s outstanding in both his technique and his thoughtful, caring attitude; have been going to him for years now. And he’s remarkably cheap.
He’s located in the third floor of the building next to Sundance Cinemas. Free parking in the lot across the street, but call first to get the stall numbers that you can use.

Years ago, a friend recommended Dr. Kearney as a chiropractor who helped her after a car accident (whiplash). I was very wary of chiropractors after having a bad experience years earlier, but could no longer tolerate my neck and shoulder pain. He was gentle and thorough. The treatment he gave me was effective and my pain was gone quickly. His kind manner and extensive knowledge is reassuring. I recommended him to my entire family and many friends with great results. He is the best!

I’m a big guy, and after several tries I gave up on Dr. Kearney. I just never felt that he got my lumbars to pop. His table seems too narrow to me and I was always afraid I was going to fall off depite his assurances. That made it difficult for me to relax, especially when he was positioning me for the lower back adjustment, which is probably why it didn’t work. Dr. Kearney is a very nice guy, and he didn’t waste my time and money with an Xray, and his price was reasonable, but I just didn’t feel fully adjusted by him.

Dr. Kearney is absolutely the best chiropractor I’ve ever seen. I always feel comfortable going to see him and I’ve never had a bad experience in his office. I’ve been seeing Dr. Kearney for back troubles for more than two years. When I pull out my back, I call him immediately because he knows exactly how to treat it. He has also treated my tinnitus, which was not easy to get rid of.
Nedra, his receptionist, is just terrific — always a delight to see. One of the best things about this office is that it’s run efficiently and yet Dr. Kearney gives each patient enough time to adequately treat the problem.
I feel so fortunate to have discovered this office and the wonderful people in it. I highly recommend Dr. Kearney and the folks at University Center Chiropractic!

I was recently in a traffic accident and my previous experiences with chiropractors have not been so pleasant, but Dr. K took the time to really understand what was wrong with my individual situation. He catered the treatment to my personal lifestyle and workout habits, and is honestly intellectually superior to many of the past practitioners I’ve dealt with (lol). The staff is super friendly and efficient and helped me figure out the insurance work without a hassle. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Kearney is great. He really takes the time to listen to me about the specific issues/​concerns I have with my back. He tracks my progress and changes up what he does based on what works and what doesn’t. Basically, he just treats you like an individual and is fully present and attentive when treating you. I usually walk out of there feeling 100% better.

The University Center Chiropractic Clinic has been my top discovery to date in the University District and I’ve lived here the better part of six years.
I hurt my back in college at the gym (damn crunches machine) and started having muscle spasms. I searched for a chiropractor in the area and hit a veritable gold mine. Dr. Kearney quickly diagnosed the problem and got me feeling better in no time.
He’s been practicing for years and this is obvious from the type of care he gives to his patients. He’s a straight-​talker and doesn’t talk down to you at all about what’s going on with your body. He’s honest about what you need to do to improve your health and really listens to your feedback.
I have recommended him to as many friends as I can who have headache, neck, shoulder, and back issues or just pain in general. Everyone has loved their experiences.
Take it from me a guy who’s seen multiple chiropractors in my life, that you’re not going to find someone better than Dr. Kearney.

I started going to Dr. Kearney when I got hit with a migraine from out of the blue while I was a junior at the UW.
I had been to chiropractors back home before when I needed help with migraines, and knew that they were my best hope for relief. I looked on my insurance’s website for the closest chiropractor and found Eugene.
«Excellent, he’s in the U-​District! I can walk there!» I thought to myself.
And I’ve been going there for the last three years. Eugene is an EXCELLENT chiropractor. He’s very knowledgeable and was actually Washington State chiropractor of the year at one point. Ask him anything you want about your body and he’ll probably have some advice for you.
He’s also very flexible with his scheduling and tends to work later hours than most «business hours» chiropractors. Perfect for college students.
