I just moved into the Old Rainier building, and I am SODELIGHTED to have a coffee shop in my parking lot. This location has already saved my butt on mornings when I got up too late to make coffee before my drive to work! The baristas are nice, the drinks are made to standard, and everything is clean — what more could you ask for? Not much, and this is quickly becoming my go-to coffee joint. Maybe I’ll just stop making my own and save myself the cleanup headache. –1 star for not being open on Sundays, though. It would be awesome to hang out there on Sunday afternoons!

Horrible service in the drive thru today. As a passenger I got out of the car to place my own order inside with a different representative.

I’ve been going to this Tully’s for nearly 3 years now and after this morning I will never go again. I have had some terrible drinks here and even worse service but what lost my business is inconsistency in pricing, discounts, and drink quality between each person working there. I used to come in almost daily but now that I quit drinking coffee I will go in once or twice a week and get a Red Bull Italian Soda. Depending on who makes it I will pay between $ 3-$ 6. When I first started ordering this drink they would not let me use my punch card because it had Red Bull in it. I was fine with that as I was only paying $ 3 so it seemed reasonable. Lately I have been paying nearly $ 6 for the drink so I asked a few months ago why I couldn’t use my punch card when I was paying more than my old coffee order. The gal I spoke to said that if I’m being charged the higher amount than I am paying for both the Red Bull and Italian Soda so I should be getting a punch for it because I am still paying for a full price Italian Soda. That explanation sounded reasonable and I’ve been getting punches ever since. When I went in last Saturday the girl punched my card and told me I had 3 free drinks which kind of irked me because why has nobody told me I had a free drink for all this time? So keeping in mind that I have 3 free punches on my card for the same drink that I’ve been purchasing for nearly a year I went through the drive through this morning and gave the lady working my punch card but she told me I couldn’t use it for Red Bull drinks. I let her know that I come here all the time and the free drinks I’ve accumulated are from Red Bull drinks as I quit drinking coffee long ago. She told me that they had a company meeting and decided they wouldn’t offer them. So I asked her then are you going to charge me for the Red Bull + the Italian Soda because if that’s the case then I will order them seperately, get my punch, and then mix them myself. She said no that’s just the cost for the drink. I find that really hard to believe as I’ve already been told otherwise and I’ve been getting punches for the same damn drink. I’ve had many issues with this Tully’s over the years but I’ve always come back because I really like several of the people working there but after this I will not be back. There is no reason that the drink cost should or punch card policy should vary per each employee. Really disappointing customer service for a long time customer who has spent a ridiculous amount of money here over the years.

I was driving through SoDo and needed a restroom badly!!! This cute coffee shop popped up and I was greeted and served by some really friendly people who worked there. This place has a drive through, but stop inside if you want a cute ambiance to rest or ponder in. They had free wi-fi which was great for a weary traveler like myself. I had a plain coffee and have to say that it isn’t as bitter at Starbucks. I might guess that Tully’s might be one to give Starbucks a run for their money in Seattle.

I stopped by this Tully’s to get a hot tea latte. I had driven away when I realized they had forgotten the tea bag and all I had was a cup of hot milk. Extremely disappointing.

I am so pissed right now! This is the second time this week I’ve been to this Tully’s location and it is now the SECONDTIME they have RUINED my clothing with their sloppiness. Earlier this week it was a $ 50 silk tank top stained by coffee that was dripping down the sides of my iced Caramel Macchiato. Today, I ordered literally the same drink same size, same everything. and guess what?! It dripped all over a $ 70 pair of slacks!!! What the hell are they doing over there that they can’t take a second to wipe down the cup? Which is completely besides the point that they do this for a living so really, they shouldn’t even be that messy! That’s not even mentioning the inordinate amount of caramel that was sloshed down the sides. My steering wheel will never be same. Again, I find this odd because there is about a ¼ inch of visible caramel in the bottom of the cup, so much that it blocked up the straw. I feel like this is the location that is one of the MOST visible in the entire city(it being right at the base of the Tully’s/Rainier Beer building), maybe they should work a little harder on their image. I should also note that when I asked for a napkins to clean up the damage the woman at the window looked at me like I was SOOOO demanding. Get over it! I said please didn’t I?! Far more than that shitty attitude deserved. So… Long story short, if you don’t live in the city and don’t carry a spare set of clothes, steer clear. They will make sure you look like a hot, sloppy mess for the rest of the day.

Nothing pizza about the new pizza bagel, just dried up stale cheese. What happened to the marinara sauce and pepperoni? The girl with the odd colored hair said that Tullys changed it. Just saying that’s why Starbucks seems better. Don’t change shit that ain’t broken… Unless the barista was lying???

I’ve been more of a Starbucks person in the past, but I just have to give a big high-five to the Tully’s on Airport Way. It’s close enough to my job that I can easily stop by for lunch or coffee breaks, and I find myself doing that more and more often lately. The coffee is great, the staff are super-friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm and doesn’t feel like a chain to me. Free wi-fi, pleasant atmosphere, great coffee, rarely crowded… what’s not to like?

This is a great drive-thru in the SoDo ‘hood. Located at the HQ building and across the LINK train O&M facility. The staff was good and my coffee/chai was good, as well. After discussing what kind of pastries/food they have prior to closing, I decided to get the chocolate banana(?) bread. She asked for it warm or cold… ehh, cold. Warm can be good if done right but I imagined it becoming a warm, dry block. Sure it’s chilled but atleast it retained better moisture and taste. Worthy stop.

I pass by this Tully’s nearly every day on my way to work, yet I never stop in, despite needing my coffee fix and occasionally needing a bite to eat if I skip breakfast. Today something possessed me to swerve(not violently so) and go into the drive through to get a breakfast sandwich and an Americano. I’m happy to report that it was speedier and and more enjoyable than I expected, given the chain-i-ness and location. In fact, they managed to exceed my expectations despite screwing up. How’s that you say? Read on… They apparently put the wrong amount of cream/sugar in the first Americano they made for me — but they made another one in the time it took me to get to the drive-through window and simply gave me both drinks(yay, free coffee for coworkers). I wouldn’t have even known they screwed up unless they told me and offered me the second drink. Also, my breakfast sandwich was heated all the way through but not scalding. A nice touch, if something you should expect as par for the course. And last the servers were pleasant on the little speaker box and when I got to the window — something that’d be hard for me if I had to start work at 5:30am. It’s these little things that make the difference between a great experience and one where you think to yourself, «meh, I’m not going back».

I visit this Tully’s nearly every day because the staff is AWESOME! They nearly always have biscuits for my dog, Bennie, and treat us both very well. They always make my drink the right way and remember my discount. I do wish this store was open on Sunday and later into the evening during the week but I’m sure if they had the business, they would!

I absolutely love this place! I go here every morning before work except sunday because they are closed! I swear their barista’s there all recognize my voice or my drink order because everytime I go through the drive thru, they always finish with«Did you want your P.I. today?» That’s great customer service! I love it! I guess it doesn’t take much to please me, but you better act like you’re trying to.

This is my favorite Tully’s. Everybody is quick, pleasant and professional. Their sweets are WAY better than Starbucks and they have a soul as a corporation. I haven’t tried any lunch items but their featured drink is always tasty. It seems my higher ranked reviews have less words, but generally if they do everything right– what do I have to say? Well that and being impressed over the fire places, comfy but classic décor and all the jazz that is Tully’s isn’t fresh– in my mind it is an established fact only a societal upset of major proportions could dissuade, go Tully’s!

When I was doing first overnight delivery at work(0515 start time; blech!) this was where I would get my double short americano. Unfortunately they open at 0500 and it seemed that either the clock they go off of is slow or the employees are. I usually had to sit out in the drive through and honk or just drive in circles a few times. God forbid I get out of my car I know, but if you’re supposed to be open, you should be open. Another thing that irked me a bit was that when they introduced their environmentally friendly cups; which added another .25 cents or so to their existing drinks. When I’m used to paying $ 2.05 for my joe and the price jumps to $ 2.30, that’s a pretty big increase. I just bought a commuter mug(you get a .10 discount for using one) and used that, but would often have to remind the folks working the register to apply the discount to it. With their prices climbing like that, I am much happier paying the same(or a tad bit more) to support local shops. Although when choosing amongst the big boys of the coffee game Tully’s has my dollar. The product they served was always good and how I liked it, I just think that the early morning crew I dealt with should have had their head in the game a bit more. Pretty frustrating to have to remind people of things that(to me) seem pretty simple; like the mug discount, opening on time, etc. Would have given four-stars if their employees were more aware of time. One star taken away for charging more because of the cups; I can appreciate being environmentally friendly, but when you don’t give customers an option beyond bringing their own mugs in while raising the cost of their drink by 13% doesn’t sit too well with me. Pay for it out of your profit margin and write it off come tax time.

This store is a godsend for me. It’s right on the way from my workplace to the district offices where I have to go to for boring workshops after school, so I can get some caffeine on the way. The bigwigs wouldn’t like it if I started snoring, see. Since this is the store at the company headquarters, they have an excellent selection of high-class baked goods as well as espresso and smoothies. I like the variety of choices in mochas: regular, white, dark, caramel. Can you ever have enough choices in chocolate-coffee combinations? The drive-through here is efficient(if designed a bit strangely). But if you go inside, you’ll have to stare down the luscious Alki Bakery cupcakes and scones in person. My one complaint is that the hours are a bit limited, designed to cater to the Tully’s corp. employees: early in the morning to not-particularly-late afternoon, and very limited on weekends(though they do have some Saturday hours now). On the plus side, the short hours mean a lot of the baked goods go on sale pretty early too – 3:30 or 4. Which makes those cupcakes even more tempting. And makes it hard for me to stay awake in workshops, despite the espresso.
