This place is a dive bar so if you’re into that sort of thing, I guess it’s good. It’s not particularly clean, so your hands feel perpetually unclean from the dust and lard that seems to coat all the surfaces. There’s usually a few depressed-looking alcoholics slumped over their bar with beers and rum & cokes, whistling idly through the gaps in what teeth they have left as they ogle anyone who’s remotely attractive. Still, if you’re in a bit of a downward spiral and looking for a place to hit rock bottom and rethink your life, spending any amount of time at the Tug Inn will probably help you over the hump.

Favorite dive bar in Seattle, and there’s a lot of them! I love the atmosphere, the drunks, and the food. Whether you’re by yourself or with a group of people, you’re bound to have a good time!

My husband and I have been looking for a dive bar since we moved to Seattle. We have driven past the Tug Inn numerous times and today we decided to stop in. Guess what? We found a dive bar! Yeah! It has everything you would ask for in a dive bar, posters of Budweiser, pool tables, pull tabs, erotic photo hunt, bar food, and bathrooms that aren’t heated! Some things I didn’t expect: a computer to use, nice heated outdoor patio, and super friendly bar staff. The one thing it is missing: cheap drinks. We both got a beer and it was $ 11 with tip. Maybe I just missed happy hour? We will be back with more $$ next time.

Besides the weird smell, their Jalapeño poppers are THEEBEST! along with the chicken tenders & artichoke spinach dip & chips. Karaōke is always great on Sunday’s, nice ppl!

Tug Inn is a hoot, plain and simple. So many different kinds of people frequent this place. We came in one afternoon and saw bikers, business people, and retirees all sitting at the bar together. It’s a true West Seattle hangout. The place itself it’s old; it’s a dive bar in every sense of the word. It’s deceivingly large, with a whole back room with pool tables and an outdoor patio with several tables. Funky posters and advertisements are plastered all over the walls and ceiling. There’s quite a bit of seating between the bar, tall tables in the middle, booths, and patio seating. It’s pretty dark, even in the afternoon, and the music was extremely loud. We ordered some cocktails and wine, as well as some fried chicken to go. The cocktails were strong and cheap, which we had anticipated. We had heard their fried chicken was good – and it was! It was perfectly crispy and not too salty, like some other fried chicken is. Some of the pieces could have stood a touch less time in the frier, but no biggie. We ordered ours with tater tots, which were also nice and crispy and perfectly salted. Overall, Tug Inn met our expectations. This is a great place to get cheap, stiff drinks and yummy, affordable bar food!

The drinks are STRONG and priced very fair for how much booze is going in to your cup. I only have great things to say about the service staff after going to the bar twice alone and interacting with the bartenders. Depending on what night you go, it’s going to get pretty busy but the server behind the bar will get to you — be patient. Really love the food here too! Cheap, fried, and delicious.

I really like this place, the bartenders don’t like the uppity riff raff and that’s a good thing. Totally divey and friendly and a great place for chillin with friends. Prices are low. I mean really really low. Not a fan in the summer, the cigarette smoke gets a bit thick with the doors open.

I give this place 4 stars. It’s a large dive bar located in West Seattle. It’s kind of hidden and the parking is not good. I decided to go there on St. Patty’s day because I drive by it everyday on the way to work and it’s always packed. Parking is very limited. I’m assuming that any overflow of parking is done in the Home Depot parking lot. But I’m not quite sure. Hopefully no one would get towed. The only negatives this place has is the parking and the limited amount of pool tables. Overall this place is pretty cool. We ordered two pitchers of beer at $ 8 each. That’s super cheap! Since it was a holiday the service was a bit slow. There were only two bartenders. I thought an extra person to help as a waitress would have helped their pace of service. I would go there again but be aware you may have to wait to play pool since they only have two tables.

I went here on a whim on a Thursday night. I walked in during a drunken argument about how all women suck, primarily Asian women. I blew it off, because I’m in a hole in the wall bar; its to be expected. My friend and I, had a drink… nothing spectacular. It’s just a hole in the wall bar. Maybe other days of the week are better?

I can summarize Tug quite easily: Cheap. Drinks. I don’t come here expecting good looking people, fancy cocktails, or to NOT get hit on by a man with less than a dozen teeth. I come because it’s cheap and despite the dreary rundown appearance of the bar and other patrons I feel comfortable here. They have pull-tabs, a digital juke box, and a few pool tables. There’s also a menu with our standard bar fare, and some nights feature cheap tacos or wings. Fun for a group of friends or a couple who knows one another well and is just looking to get out of the house for a few drinks… And perhaps some mischief later, depending on who you meet.

I want to SINGTHEPRAISES of one of the ladies who works behind the bar. Her name is Michelle. I was in The Tug a couple weeks ago and it appeared Michelle was the new girl at the time. But, in this short period of time Michelle has completely acclimated to this establishment and… SHERUNSTHEPLACE. And if the owners of this establishment have any brains at all, that is exactly what they will do… PUTMICHELLEINCHARGE. I stopped by tonight for a pint and was completely ignored by the veteran girl… the one with her hair up in a bun. Completely ignored. I suspect this girl is «related» in some way because you don’t do NOTHING so well if you’re not protected.(Is she«doing» the owner? I should give her the benefit of the doubt and suggest she’s actually the legitimate girl friend. You poor dude!) Michelle waited on tables — on the patio, filled ice, filled glasses, took orders… took MY order(finally… it had been at least 10 minutes). That girl was on the go… constantly. Put Michelle in charge. Let her do the hiring and firing. It is obvious to me she knows what she’s doing. And Michelle… if you read this and they DON’T put you in charge… GETOUT. As fast as you can… GETOUT. Because there is nothing there for you… except run, run, run… and hopefully garner a few tips along the way. The two star rating? Come on… it’s a «dive bar» but an OK dive bar… so it gets 2 stars.

Went here bc a friend recommended it on my Seattle adventure list. I’m thinking it was a bad joke bc we stayed for a few minutes and left. It was a Sunday during the day, granted, but it was scary. The place was a dump, and if you’re looking for a genuinely divey bar, this is it. Bc it is the real deal I am giving it 2 stars. The patrons were obviously hardcore — you might find them there every day… at any hour…

This place is friendly and affordable. Good beer, food and pool. It’s definitely a dive, but in the best way.

So hilariously entertaining. I usually have a pretty good time here. Nice bartenders. Cheap and strong drinks. Two pool tables in the back. Patio with coverings(which you can bring dogs onto in the summer). Have fun!

Neat little dive. I’ve driven by a few times but finally stopped in. I really appreciated the quick and friendly service, as well as the cheap drinks. I didn’t stay for the food but I hear it isn’t so bad. It’s a nice little watering hole.

I think the jello shots are made from straight up rubbing alcohol. There’s no other way to sell $ 1 jello shots that are are damaging as the ones here. For less than $ 20, you and a friend can demolish a pitcher of cheap beer and have plenty left over for the juke box. It’s obviously a dive bar, but surprisingly the men’s restroom is always pretty damn clean. The bar staff are friendly and I’ve never seen any drama go down.

I love being surprised by dive bars, like the one time I showed up with a group of fancy pants to Tug Inn to sing karaōke on a Wednesday night, and ended with an epic story to tell! Wednesday night karaōke with Christopher Michaels must be a local secret in West Seattle because it seemed like everyone knew everyone. People of all ages were dancing and swaying, laughing and engaging. The bartenders looked you straight in the eye, and put up with your drunken stupor. The food was definitely cheap and delicious. Corn dogs, spicy chicken wings, deep fried mac & cheese and mini corn dogs. I still remember the bill coming to ~$ 25, but it must have not included drinks. Standard Manny’s and local stuff on tap, though the star of the night, aside from the drunk vocals, was definitely the jello shots. Strong and tasty as hell. I would go back again just for those shots. The karaōke selection isn’t what you would expect, and definitely not as current, but does it really matter? At the end of the night everyone had a great time!

I love dive bars. Some of them are shady, and some of them are crazy, but some of them are quite unexpectedly awesome. Met some people at the fancy classy Unilocaly elite awards, and we somehow ended up here. Think of it – we’re all dressed up in high heels and dangly earrings and coat and tie, the works. Walked into this bar, there’s pool tables and karaōke and jukebox machines. Everyone’s a local it seems, and they all stare at us a little like we’re crazy. But what the hell, you know? We get some super yummy cheap bar food(mini corn dogs are bomb, and those buffalo wings definitely have a kick to them). We start submitting our karaōke song selections from the gigantic book they have at nearly every table. We sing and dance along to everyone and everything. The dj is hella cool, he tells us we weren’t that bad when I’m pretty sure we were kinda terrible. Whatever, it’s all about enthusiasm and there was a lot of that all around. Good, appreciative, chill crowd. I think a good time was definitely had by all.

Oh how awesome the drinks and bartenders are! They are so full of awesomeness, they should be called The Awesome Tug Inn. Very interesting clientele, many of whom are awesome too.

‘If you like what you see, then I’m sure you like the music.’ —‘Excuse me, what? If you like my dancing, then I’m sure you liked the band.’ —‘Sorry, I’m confused and I didn’t see you dancing… Oh, well watch me dance.’ —‘Yeah, sure…‘ There was a live band playing and apparently they play for tips. This tall curvy blonde with tight, shiny, black pants dances very provocatively around the bar with a plastic tip jar. I’m gonna say she was incredibly high, ’cause she was not making sense. Apparently she dances super sexy and shakes and shoves her ta-tas(YES, I said ta-tas) in guys faces and then comes around asking for donations. But from the convo above she confuses the hell of people and doesn’t even mention donations for the band when she walks up to you. It could have been donations for the Red Cross for all I knew! I’d lie if I said the name Tug Inn didn’t make me chuckle a little. Came here for the first time this past weekend. I have to admit the place is pretty intimidating or should I say sketchy from the street. We wanted to shoot some pool and this was the last spot that wasn’t packed with people playing, so we dove in. Within 3 minutes from walking through the door there was a fight and barstools were being flung around. It didn’t get past that and the butt-rocker was thrown out. Why the 5 star rating? I came into the dive bar with low expectations and came out this one truly entertained. Pool for a buck, the bathroom had sticky, slippery floors, but nothing overflowed, a bar fight, live band, creepy hot blonde, a couple cute girls decorating the otherwise lackluster atmosphere, great bar stories and friendly locals. Plus you gotta love a place where it’s no shame if the old toothless bar rats have more teeth than some of the young regulars. Can’t say I’ll be a regular anytime soon, but it sure is a place I won’t be hesitant to come back to if I want to shoot some pool and be entertained.

5 stars all around! Let me explain… Is this place clean? NO! Is this place new? NO! Do most people who frequent this bar have all of their teeth? HECKNO! So why the five star rating? It totally exceeded all of my expectations. I came here last night(Wednesday) with some friends for karaōke. I’ll admit, upon first glance I thought, «what the…» and after 10 mins I was in love. The bar crowd was lively, the bartenders were polite and the karaōke host was a total delight!(yes. I rhymed.) Cheap drinks, cheaper Jell-o shots, a great play list, a great atmosphere… it was just fantastic! The crowd ranged from folks who could barely speak English to middle aged men in cowboy hats to men in their 30’s with tribal tats and baseball caps, to me. a yuppie! No one seemed to have a care in the world and the night’s theme was ‘get drunk and sing!‘ Lots of folks were dancing and singing along too. I have to come back here and you do too!

I recently moved to High Point and this is one of the closest bars within walking distance to my house. My husband and roommate had been here a few times and each time they came back pretty schnockered, that’s good right? One Saturday night none of us had plans so we headed over to have a few drinks. As almost everyone has said, this place is kind of a dive. It’s tucked off Orchard St. by the police station and Home Depot, you may not notice it if you’re just driving by on Delridge Way. The inside had kind of a weird homey vibe, I think that was because of the couch, grandfather clock and computer in the corner. Our bartender was totally cool and friendly and the drinks were affordable. The drink special on this night was a $ 3 mini pitcher of Pabst. I ordered a Supergoose IPA and vodka and soda. For food I got a chicken finger basket. The fingers were actually pretty good! They came out piping hot with some fries on the side and soaked up the alcohol nicely. I really enjoyed the mellow atmosphere here. It wasn’t terribly crowded or loud on a Saturday night, fine by me! They also have a fairly good jukebox. Maybe not the best, but we were able to listen to some good classic rock and Kelly Clarkson. This is just one of many times I will end up here I’m sure. If you’re looking for a good neighborhood hangout this is definitely one!
