I walked in and was greeted by multiple friendly faces, the lady whom I assume to be the owner was very helpful. She even let me borrow their not so public restroom. Great service and delicious banh mi!

IFYOUARENOTVIETNAMESE, DONOTGOHERE. THEYWILLCHANGETHEPRICEONYOU. Went to tony bakery yesterday 05÷26÷16 around 5:30pm. Very disappointed. I ordered a Vietnamese sandwich. On the sign the Vietnamese sandwich cost $ 4.00 but when I went to the register, the lady charged me $ 5.50. When I told her that was not the right price. she started speaking in Vietnamese with the other worker. I stood there for at least 1 – 2 min and no one said anything. So I gave in and just paid $ 5.50 for a Vietnamese sandwich. Can someone please tell me if the sandwiches are $ 5.50 or $ 4.00 because I feel like the lady charged me extra because I’m not Asian. Keep in mind there was a Vietnamese man who was in front of me in line to pay, he paid $ 24 for 6 sandwiches. Making his sandwiches $ 4 each. SMH IFYOUARENOTVIETNAMESE, DONOTGOHERE. Every time I walk into Tony’s Bakery, I am reminded of why I shouldn’t come back. They are expensive and frugal with their servings. I paid $ 9 for a rice box plus two items(two small/medium deep fried pieces of fish and ONEPIECE of stuffed bitter melon in plain soup). Ridiculous. Go to Chinatown — $ 5 for double the food. Poor service too. Stood there in front of their counter, made eye contact with at least 4 different people, none who acknowledged me. Will not ever go back.

Ordered goi, banh beo, & birthday cake for party. All were good except egg rolls(cha gio) — they were too salty. Friendly staff. I would come back to order cake. Minus one star for salty egg rolls-yuck

Who doesn’t love birthday cake? Um, probably no one! If someone doesn’t like birthday cake, it’s a sad day indeed. Tony’s Bakery & Deli has one of the best Asian cakes with fruit that I’ve tried, especially for the cost. The bakery is conveniently located right next to the old Vietwah market on MLK, and at some point, the new Ranch 99 market. Even if you order the same day, they do a great job of getting the cake ready for pick up quickly. The sponge cake is super moist and the frosting is light. It’s like eating air(with the yummy calories). I(almost) feel guilt free when I eat it, which is a good sign. Besides cake, Tony’s Bakery has a multitude of other Vietnamese/Asian style foods, such as banh mi or red bean dessert. As an fyi, the smallest fruit cake size is 8″ for $ 28. I’m definitely a fan; plus, my mama loves their cake. To me, the old adage is true: Mama knows best!

My family and I have been going here for years. The owner is the sweetest little lady ever. I like their Vietnamese yogurt, and their smoothies made with real fruits. Their Vietnamese dessert cups with the little pink/red balls but I don’t remember what it’s called. Parking can be a pain around here, so I try to come at odd times when there’s more space in the parking lot. I’m not a big fan of their banh mi, there isn’t much meat and the bread is pretty chewy. But their hot deli food is pretty decent.

My friend and I both got the tofu sandwich. The bread is buttery and tasty, with a nice combination of bread and«insides.» Will return.

I come here a lot for the bubble tea. The price listed says $ 3.50 each plus $.50 extra for the tapioca. I never get tapioca but I still get charged $ 4.00?! They have lots of cooked food and desserts to choose from and they’re open super early! Good place to grab some food to go!

Their hours say they open at 7am, but they’re really there around 6:15am. This place is my go to for breakfast sandwiches! Their egg, ham, and cheese breakfast sandwich is very addicting! Sometimes if you show up before 6:45 the bread isn’t done baking yet. I’ve tried numerous of their drinks. Avocado smoothie, red bean bubble tea, taro, Thai tea, ice coffee, and sugar cane. Thai tea tastes legit, like something you would get at a Thai restaurant. Avocado smoothie is made out of real avocados and not just the powder. It has just the right amount of sweetness to it. Red bean could be more sweeter. Their viet coffee is strong so I usually ask for extra milk. You can’t really go wrong with taro. I haven’t had a sugar cane drink anywhere else so I’m not sure how it’s suppose to taste like hahaha I’ve tried their packaged spring rolls which is really good. Also their homemade beef jerky.(It’s kinda hidden behind the cash register on the shelf) it kinda reminded me of phở haha. The flavor and seasonings are so good. $ 11 a bag! My next thing to try is their 3 bean drink. I saw a customer order it once and it looked delicious!

Bubble tea here is much more expensive than most. I probably won’t come back due to price for bubble tea. The food isn’t bad at all. I just like to buy bubble tea during my trips to a Vietnamese deli, but I want to buy it at a fair price.

This rating is for the Bahn Mi. Three, four years ago I would have given Tony’s Bahn Mi 5 stars. Not sure if ownership has changed but about two years ago I noticed a change in their Bahn Mi. The bread was not the same, the meat grilled pork not as flavorful and less shredded onions given than in the past. Also the price had increased significantly! I remember thinking to myself«I’m not coming here again!» Well I should have listened to myself. Was back in the hood to pick our dog when we decided to try a Vietnamese Bahn Mi deli my friend recommended in the same complex as Tony’s. Unfortunately that place was closed for the day. Since we had our mind set on Bahn Mi, we decided to try Tony’s once again. Big mistake! The good news was the price for a grilled pork Bahn Mi was still $ 3. However, you could hardly taste the grilled pork because there was so little of it. Marinated veggies and the shaved onions(which I really like) we’re also skimpy; the cilantro was also skimpy and also wilted. Worst thing was when I took a bite the ingredient I tasted the most was the bread! Bottom line is there will be no next time for Tony’s.

Came in here thinking that they’ll have a lot of options and some fresh made food. Wrong, I came around 9 and there’s wasn’t much of a selection for the desserts but some did look really good. As for the deli section I bought the meatballs thinking it would be tasty, boy was I was wrong. The meatballs were nasty! It wasn’t hot and it tastes like rubber!

Tony’s is cheap and convenient, but the quality of the food here isn’t high enough to make this a regular stop for me, in spite of being very close to home. Their banh mi are a bit skimpy on the fillings, their pre-prepared food is greasy and tastes strongly of MSG, and the bubble tea is too sweet for my liking(and the tapioca bubbles were hard and seemed as though they had been prepared hours and hours ago). With so many options for similar food items in the area, I’ll be trying others before coming back here for more.

The ladies here are super friendly. Their cakes are the best! We always get our bday cakes here. Super light, not too sweet and fluffy!

No bad experiences here yet. Every time I come here, I’m always treated right. Everyone I talk to seems so polite and friendly. Cheap prices along with good food. Not something you would expect from just looking in from the outside. Place could use a little clean up. I can only rate them on their food and desserts. Have not tried any of their drinks yet. A lot of variety of vietnamese dishes. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area.

Food is nothing out of the ordinary. But there was a hair in my sister’s banh mi! I understand that accidents happen but the thing that really annoyed me was when I approached them and asked for a new banh mi, she did not apologize. She just announced it in Viet and her coworkers silently made us a new sandwiches, quickly handed it to us, and left. Again, with no apology and no eye contact as if they were annoyed that I was«overreacting». Unacceptable

Reliable, cheap and convenient! Three words that any wifey keeps in the back of her head when she doesn’t want to cook dinner, am I right ladies?! As much as I love cooking, there are some days where I’d rather have someone else do the cooking. I can easily spend $ 10 for dinner for two EASILY. That’s pretty awesome! :) $ 15 if I decide to be more fancy and pick the pre-made foods or add some drinks! Their banh mi sandwiches are on point every time, at $ 3.25 for grilled pork, this is a steal. I work in downtown Seattle. I would never ever ever buy a banh mi for $ 4.50−5.00. They are never as delicious as Tony’s! The bread is toasted and really crispy, meat is juicy and flavorful and the fresh cucumber and pickled veggies compliment the sandwich! I think they spread a buttery spread inside and seriously that’s all you need! $ 6.50 for two people, pick up some banh desserts and there you go! Dinner for under $ 10 or add some eggs rolls/meatball skewers :) I love love love their banh cuon and their pre packaged vermicelli combos. This comes with noodles, meat, egg rolls, veggies and fish sauce. It literally has everything you need and I can easily eat this for two meals! Portions are pretty good! Speaking of portions their humbao is the size of my face. I have a chubby face hahaha and my parents love the meatball-like filling and the texture of the humbao itself. I personally like cha siu bao more but this is pretty darn good. I eat the dough and save the meat filling last! It’s awesome that they put in half an egg and a decent slice of Chinese sausage, not stingy on the filing! There’s a ton of choices for entrees, desserts, bubble tea and sandwiches. Their fresh sugar cane juice is good, it’s $ 5.00 for one. Their bubble tea isn’t amazing but if you’re too lazy to head to Chinatown or Ambrosia near Tammy’s it’s an okay option. Their dessert selection is awesome– love the rainbow sticky rice, there’s also che thai, jellos, cream puffs from Thanh Brothers, etc. In and out in five minutes! Do it!

My parents love the banh baos here(the white steam bun with egg/pork/chinese sausage inside). It’s good, but not«ohmygawwwww» good. You can get 4 ginormous ones for $ 7.50. The bun to meat ration is good. Nicely portioned. Sometimes when you get huge buns they compensate for the size by adding more bun. Not so much here, which is good. Yea… that’s all I have to say. It’s not bad, but not super duper great.

I like this place for their always home made Vietnamese deli food and their homemade viet bakery stuff that you can take to go. It’s always warm, and fresh and delicious. Too bad I don’t now the name of stuff. Their banh mi’s are good, but not the best. I like other Viet places, but this isn’t bad either. I think they’re about $ 3 which is the most I’d ever pay. Their bubble teas are okay, not the best, but not the worst. They charge I think $ 4 or so which is NOT worth it. Their drinks are good(the canned ones) but beware of their prices. Their meatballs are good to me, but not to die for. Sometimes, this place can be hit or miss depending on what time you come. So come when it’s early so things are made fresh!

Yo, the food is good here. but… Why do they always try to jip you at the cashier. I’m sorry Shady ladies, I’m not a fool and I know you are charging me for pearls in my bubble tea when I don’t have any! And you even tried to charge me more of my Banh Mi GA! Again, the food here is good, tasty, cheap. I forgot why I stopped shopping here and its because they are trying to nickle and dime everyone literally! Well anyhow, it’s good food, quick and cheap, just don’t get ripped off.
