Just got my crepes hear); its was the worst one I ever had. We come hear a lot and get 3 – 4 crapes a week winter and summer I never bean disappointed b4 I know it’s a bz season for them now when it’s nice out but come on… clean the place it is nasty. I don’t know if I really want to go back there again I wish the management will do a better job of getting this employee to clean the place and let them wash there hand each time when they handle the money. Just not ok can’t look at this filthy Tokio sweets where they make crapes.

If there is a zero star, I’d give that. I like the crepes but customer service is just terrible. We waited 10 minutes in the cold just to order. The guy just left. Honestly, terrible. There was even a line outside but he just left. So all of us left after waiting there. Whats the point of opening up a business if the guy just wont serve us?

One of our place for crepes French style. Good variety of sweet and sour crepes. They also have ice cream. There are tables outside where you can sit — great on a sunny day to enjoy the nice weather when we have it in Seattle

Berry Cheesecake: mixed berry compote, graham cracker bits & yes, an entire slice of cheesecake all wrapped together with whipped cream on top. Thrilla n Vanilla: Vanilla ice cream with slices of strawberries, nutella and whipped cream. Both crepes were good, but I enjoyed the Thrilla n Vanilla crêpe much more than the Berry Cheesecake one because, for one, the entire slice of cheesecake was just too much. The cheesecake itself was good but they should really consider doing cheesecake bites instead. It was a bit awkward for me to eat because I had to dig into my crêpe to cut the cheesecake and eat it. Secondly, the Thrilla n Vanilla crêpe had ice cream in it(who doesn’t love ice cream?!). AND it paired perfectly with the strawberries and nutella. At times nutella can be overwhelmingly sweet but the vanilla ice cream really mellowed it out for me. Yum. Price wise… it’s okay? Tokyo Sweets was actually my very first crêpe experience so I’m not too familiar with the average price for crepes. but I think they range from $ 6+. You can also customize you’re crêpe as well — just look at their menu for toppings and such. One crêpe was more than enough for me. I could probably get by with sharing one with one other person but if you’re a big sweets person, get one for yourself!

I used to get nutella/banana/strawberry/ice cream crepes here and they were good, but i realized i can make them just as good at home. So today i got a berry cheesecake crêpe and it wasn’t great. It was completely cold by the time i got it home, the cheesecake was low-quality lemon flavor, and the compote wasn’t sweet enough. I’m still gonna return to try the other flavors, though.

Extremely mediocre… I was craving something sweet, and have always wanted to try Tokyo sweet… Let’s just say It was not worth my 5.75. I ordered the«turtle» which is a sweet crêpe with Carmel, chocolate, ice cream and pecans. There was an overload of Hershey’s chocolate sauce(which I don’t prefer)… And barely any Carmel. The ice cream was nothing special– And the serve used his hand to put it on my Crêpe… I had a couple bites and ended up throwing the rest because it was defiantly not worth the calories. Save your money

Disgusting crepes! Soggy, uncooked and poorly put together! WORST crêpe I’ve ever had, in the world, in my entire life. Yes I feel that strongly about how bad they were. Worst than just a bad crêpe is the outrageous fact their Signage doesn’t reflect real prices and the servers don’t charge the price shown on the board. They just explained they didn’t know why the price was different but there’s nothing they could do. I felt bad because the servers were so nice and sweet but nothing changes the gong show of a business that can’t be bothered to charge what they advertise and make decent crepes that don’t make me gag.

amazing crepes! if you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go. I ordered the traditional crepes with strawberries, banana, vanilla ice cream and hazelnut spread. Everything was delicious down to the last bite. only downside is how messy it can be to eat this but its definitely a great spot to try.

Gross. I’m guessing the sweet crepes are their strong suit, and not so much the savory… I went for the ham and cheese with Dijon and scallions. Pretty disappointed, because the ham was cold and way undercooked, and seemed to have been really processed and not so fresh. Biting into a warm crêpe to find undercooked cold meat is unappetizing. It reminded me of a ham and cheese hot pocket when’s it’s not quite thawed in the middle and you get that soggy lukewarm bite.

Pretty good crepes… but I was rather skeptical of the whole«Tokyo» idea… the only thing Japanese about this place was the little row of japanese soft drinks on the window sill. In addition, even though I was the last customer for the day and they had a LOT of leftover batter and stuff(I assume they make fresh batter every morning. hopefully) they were extremely stingy with the batter and toppings for me. I barely had a crêpe it was falling apart in my hands. In addition, prices are averagely priced and in UVillage, probably one of the cheaper options for a dessert or light dinner. Saw a pizza crêpe being made earlier… maybe I will try that next time(I just got the original with caramel syrup and whipped cream)

When you cover a banana in Nutella, add ice cream, and wrap it in a delicate pancake, is there really anything that can go wrong? I’m inclined to say no, and Tokyo Sweets did a great job of making me want to take a carb-induced nap. The prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of the product — it definitely made me nostalgic for Japan. They’ve got a lot of legitimately adventurous options, but I didn’t want to drag the boyfriend too far from his comfort zone. I can’t wait to return to try the Yuzu Suzette!

What’s not to love about a lovely crêpe, rolled into a cone, and topped with ice cream? The crêpe itself is good. The batter is thinner than I like but the flavor is good. The crepes are hit and miss. Personally, I think the sweet crepes here are better than the savory. The last time I was there my friend ordered a savory crêpe. The nice young man serving us said they were out of cheese. As he said that, my head begain involuntarily turning to the left until QFC came into view. I asked if maybe they had cheese… over there. Then the young many informed us that they may be doing away with savory crepes. I’m not sure if that’s true but that answer made more sense to us and we got sweet crepes instead. For sweet crepes, anything with strawberries or bananas strike my fancy. Toss a bit of chocolate or nutella in there, topped with whipped cream, and my sweet tooth is satisfied. I’ve found the customer service hit and miss; as is the actual preparation of the crêpe. Some days, it’s really good. Other days, a complete waste of money. The last time I was there, I actually went down the street to another crêpe place because I really wasn’t satisfied. Thus began«Crêpe Crawl» 2013!

I definitely had over-expectation for the Japanese crêpe. It turns out to be a big disappointment. The service is cold, the wrap is messy, and it didn’t have too much flavor. But still gave me lots of calories lol. I got my own designed crêpe with banana, mixed berries, Nutella, and cinnamon. But the fruits all came out from the wrap, and I got chocolate all over my mittens. I guess that ends up all my craving for Japanese dessert. My first and last visit to this place.

Crêpe + Chocolate ice-cream + Banana + Nutella + Corn flakes + Whip(I made my own). Oh my goodness! It tastes soooo great! To be honest, I did not have a good experience for the 1st time – I ordered a King Kong. Too much whip made me a little sick. But the second time, I made my own and told the maker to add just a little whip on the top. It turns out to be extremely great! And it’s large enough to be my lunch! But the thing is, crêpe there is kinda expensive: avg is 6+. Maybe because it’s in UVillage? Kidding :-P

This is a solid option to sample Japanese crepes, with sweet and savory flavors. When I get homesick for SF with its great selection of japanese creperies, I come to UVillage for the Seattle version. Of coarse, in the Seattle version, instead of SF asian teenage hipsters, at Tokoyo Sweets, there are blonde UW juniors making Japanese-style crepes. Different strokes.

I was in U-Village over the weekend and on an impulse, I decided I wanted a dessert crêpe. I decided not to go too crazy and I got the lemon juice and sugar crêpe and it was delicious! I wanted something sweet without being too heavy and it was perfect. Even my boyfriend who doesn’t like desserts enjoyed it! I saw some other people walk away with much larger crepes than mine. Mine was also about $ 4 while theirs was $ 6 – 7 though. They had ice cream in them and it looked like it would have been fun if that’s what I was in the mood for. This place is a little expensive but I think it’d be worth a little treat every now and then! Side note: I thought crepes were a French thing. Why is this called Tokyo Sweets?

I’m a fan. Because nutella and strawberries are never bad in my book and when you share it with a friend after dinner it makes the food to price ratio seem reasonable. Come here hungry expecting the best crêpe on Earth and you’re in a for a 2 star review.

One crêpe is so filling! But because its so delicious. you could go for another! Mmmmm!!~ Nestled in between the cute shops of University Village at UW, lies Tokyo Sweet. Its a food stand, and you take your crepes and eat it outside, where the outdoor mall complex provides you with nice patio furniture. Very cute atmosphere. Price ranges from $ 4 – 6 a crêpe. But worth it x 2! haha What I usually order: Berry Cheesecake Crêpe: yes. it comes with a slice of cheesecake in your crêpe. The cheesecake itself is delicous! creamy, not too sweet, and more importantly not too over powering. You can still taste the light sweet crêpe crust, and goes great with the light blueberry jam and berries. Whats more delicious than a dessert in a dessert? Such a good combo! Don’t feel too guilty about the calories. Its worth the 30 minute treadmill run after ;) Miso Apple: Name throws you off? Scared that it’ll be too salty for your tasting? I would recommend caramel lovers to try this selection. Lightly salted miso(not salty at all), brings out the sweetness in the caramel and the sourness of the green apples very nicely. The sweet and savory flavors is a very good combination and satisfy both sweet and savory cravings! They have a punch card too! Buy 10, your next crêpe, free! Mmm I wonder if the free crêpe will taste even more scrumptious. if that is even possible.

Yeah, I’m gonna have to drag down the rating, sorry. I like crepes, you may have heard this about me, and it’s true. I’ve had crepes all over this town. These are just okay, but as Unilocal says, I’ve experienced better. The staff are adorable and great, this is not a reflection of anything other than crêpe-stylings. These are asian styled(SERIOUS, who would have guessed by the name!) which tend to be much less satisfying than the french styled crepes. I think that’s it, I don’t need to talk about it anymore, thank you for the free therapy, I know now it’s about the french, I won’t stray again.

After some sushi at Blue C, we walked around the village for a bit before decided that we needed something sweet. Attached to Boom Noodle, there is a Japanese creperie with a walk-up window facing the outside common area. I think you can also get the crepes inside Boom. At the window, there was a small queue of people waiting to order but the two employees were speedy and it moved quickly. Their menu offers several sweet or savoury offerings and you can build your own, if you prefer. I selected one with miso caramel, fresh apples, crushed graham crackers, and homemade whipped cream. When I walked up to retrieve mine, there were slivers of apple that made it look like a bunny rabbit. I found it quite cute. I would like to go back and sample one of their savoury crepes too but I was pleased with my sweet treat for the day.
