TJ Maxx

Love this place! I can always find great deals on pretty good quality merchandise here. It’s clean, well organized, and has some pretty good displays. Total contrast to the somewhat skanky (ok — really skanky) Ross across the street.

Excellent selection of quality products and brands. The store is kept very organized, unlike some of their competitors. Good customer service. This TJ Maxx does seem to be a little more expensive than other locations, but I’m assuming that’s just because it’s in the heart of downtown Seattle.

Love the location, selection, and cleanliness. But what’s really sold me on this place is the customer service. I’m used to Seattle shops being busy and rushed Not the case here; each employee has consistently greeted me and been very kind. A great example of this is a fitting room attendant named Ju. She was so helpful, warm, and patient.

Nine months ago I left a 5 star review for this TJ Maxx and I’m pleased to say that it hasn’t changed. I still go into this location about once a week and everyone is still very friendly and professional. They’ve had a bit of bad luck with the bus stop being moved in front of their location but it hasn’t changed their customer service. I did notice last week that they had a hired security person standing at the door when previously it would be the manager or another employee but that is to be expected in downtown Seattle. Thank you for continuing to be a great location.

After the experience I had here… it’s a wonder if I ever step foot in another TJ Maxx ever again. I came in for a specific purse that I wanted to purchase several of for gifts. A salesman approached me to apply for a store card of some sort. I politely declined. He did not let me keep shopping. Instead, he started begging and pleading for me to please sign up for this damn card because he needs the credit for it to make more money or something. Look, I know lower end retail jobs don’t pay that great, but I just wanted to buy a bunch of purses real quick and get outta there. I did not expect to be harassed by an employee! He would not stop begging so I gently put my armful of purses back on the racks and promptly left the store.

The cleanest TJ Maxx I’ve ever seen. Well organized and a good selection of brands. Picked up some Michael Kors Sandals and some basic T’s. Could have spent another hour downstairs looking at handbags and jewelry. They had amazing Liebeskind Berlin purses for $ 99.
Friendly staff. This shopping experience was more like Nordstroms. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to terrible Miami service.

Good deals but holy shit turn on the fucking AC! Why is it so damn hot on the second floor of this place…

Very impressed by the selection at this location. I was there for about 3 hours, shopping for gifts/​home items/​bath items. There was a lot to look at, all well organized. Prices were very fair.

I’m so glad they have a TJMaxx in downtown. They have the best prices, hands down, for everything they sell.
This is my firs place to go when I’m looking for something. If they don’t have it in the store or the website, then I’m fine going to another store.
If this is not the first place you look, you might find the same thing somewhere else but 99.99% for sure it will be more expensive.
I don’t buy cream or soap at the pharmacy anymore. I buy hight quality body cream and soap for amazing prices here.
Plus, everybody is absolutely nice and kind. And I love their return policy and the Tjmaxx card. I never leave my house without it.

I went back to the DT T.J. Maxx in hope to find these really cute green & blue ankle rainboots.
To my dismay. they were all gone .size & color. I begin to ask questions to the fitting room attendant. I soon found out that someone at a cashier could help me call to other locations to see if they had my size available.
I just want to give a s/​0 to an employee named Hollis! She called several T. J Maxx stores for me. She even went further on her above & beyond assistance as to suggest we call Marshalls *their sisterhood store.
After many calls, still NO luck! However just the simple fact that she was willing to see this request to the very end w/​superb customer service made me smile from ear to ear! Shoot at the end I could feel she wanted me to have these rainboots just as much as I.
Anyways, thank YOU Hollis for being on your A-​game, especially in an area such as downtown because to be honest. a lot of peoples customer service down in that area SUCCCCCKS!!! (Oh I get it. its DT w/​street people, addicts, etc so thats how I justify the crappy service in this area)
Go Hollis Go Hollis & of course go SEAHAWKS.. after all they were the inspiration for those boots!

Great to have a T.j. Maxx in downtown Seattle.
I have been a T.J. Maxx shopper for a number of years. The location is new, and the few times I’ve been has always been in pretty good shape (except perhaps the bedding area).
They offer all the usual bits you’d expect at T.j. Maxx, conveniently located, downtown, between Pike Place Market and Westlake Center.

No restroom for customers.
I understand if no public restroom but not even for customers? Wtf?
I had to go really bad. I stopped shopping there and walked out.

I spent a good hour browsing the racks here. This T.J. Maxx has a surprisingly high variety of brands that I usually don’t see in a T.J. Maxx. Some brands that I was tickled to see were:
–Z Spoke by Zac Posen (!)
–Dooney and Bourke
–Coach
–Michael Kors
–Ralph Lauren
–DKNY
–Theory
–W118 by Walter Baker
–Kate Spade
I spent a silly amount of time perusing the bags section. I have never seen Z Spoke bags in outlets so this was a nice surprise. The prices were fair too, about $ 150 when they are normally $ 500 or so.
Upstairs was the clothing and shoes. The clearance prices seem rather fair. I didn’t buy anything on my trip but I’m sure if I came back at other times I would find something.

I just found this TJ on my lunch today, frantically finishing up Christmas shopping. Finally!!! No more need to visit the dirty and unorganized Ross, this store is beautiful, clean, organized, and the employees were very helpful. I crossed off every person left on my list in about 20 minutes and saved a ton of money. Their products are also stylish and displayed well. Thank you! I will definitely be back. ;)

This location has opened just over one week ago. It’s laid out well and everything seems tidy enough. It was a little weird walking into what was once my gym but I soon got over it.
I bought a few dog toys which made the pooches very happy and a trio of black socks so I won’t have to do laundry just yet.
Good times.

Well, I, for one, am beyond tickled that T.J. Maxx has (finally!) opened in downtown Seattle.
I have always been a T.J.‘s fan. They offer good prices on good quality clothing, shoes, housewares, books, food items, toys, etc., etc.
Yes, it can be hit-​or-​miss. You won’t always find exactly what you are looking for. But, the search is part of the fun. And, it is such a thrill when you do find exactly what you were seeking. And, it is such a thrill when you find something that is not exactly what you are seeking, but something you suddenly realize you have to have.
I love that that I can now visit T.J.‘s just by walking a few blocks from office. The new location, on two floors in the heart of downtown, is clean and bright. It is not as large as some other locations, but it seems they’ve managed to pack a reasonable selection into the space they do have. The staff are cheery, enthusiastic, and helpful.
I foresee spending many a lunchtime (and probably more than a few dollars) here…
